Matt was the technician. He was on time and very friendly and polite. He performed an excellent check-up and then went over his findings with me. He explained everything very well. He answered my questions and was not high pressure to have work done. I thought the prices seemed reasonable and will have them do some work on the heater and my duct work. I am confident that the work will be done well.

Interstate used a universal board to fix the problem which means they did not have to order any parts which allowed our heat to turn back on as soon as the repair was finished. This was a big advantage considering that our heat decided to quit working in the dead of winter.

The install technicians showed up very promptly after a reminder call from the office telling me they were on their way. The technicians were both extremely professional and polite, even though it was the coldest day of the year to do the install in the sleet and ice. They worked straight through, almost 11 hours, and got my return ducts installed and got the new 4 ton A/C outside, and a new thermostat. They even vacuumed my upstairs and swept off my stairs leading up, even though they were a mess before they got here! We saved about $2600.00 since Carrier is running a special giving all Interstate's customers a free furnace with a full install. We got easy financing via their website (all Interstate customers get 12.9% financing, no matter what the credit card shows your interest rate to be online!) which is good for those with 'average' credit. You can get a much better rate with excellent credit I'm sure. I can genuinely say that these guys are the most professional service technicians I've ever dealt with, and they truly had a great deal of expertise and knowledge in the system and their work. They cleaned and vacuumed the entire area after finishing, showed me everything, explained everything and I had them come back out and connect the bathroom ducts to the main unit (they had never been connected in the 11 years I've had the house!) for an additional $250 (totaling 6500 for the entire new unit and these bathroom ducts). I had one issue where the main duct that ran off the furnace in the attic had become disconnected from the furnace itself, and called them on a Friday - they were out the following Monday and completely patched it up, suspending the duct from the roof to keep the pressure from disconnecting it again (this was not their fault - it was the kind of ducts the original installer had used when they put in the central unit - it didn't have the solid steel connector which Interstate prefers to use). I would definitely contact them again in the future, and would recommend them to anyone. Their prices are a bit more expensive than other companies, but you truly TRULY get what you pay for (I know - we've had other companies come out and didn't do HALF the quality of work these guys do!). Thank you, Interstate! It's so nice to sleep with peace of mind that your central unit won't break down on you - it's already saved us about 80 dollars per month in the winter - can't wait to see what it saves us this summer!

My heat and air was in the floor and collapsed. They were prompt on getting here to get me a quote and very fair on price for the amount of work needed. The install was quick and diligent and the techs were always on time and even gave me a call every day, letting me know they were on their way and/or what time they would be here. The professionalism of the estimator, installers, and even the office help was outstanding! I have recommended them to anyone I know needing help in their line of work!

Heater would not work they made an appointment for same day service. Every one from the company seems so nice and customer service was great. They gave me large time frame but always called to let me know the time and where the technicians were at in there schedule. They have been amazing during a hard time for me and my family! They truly have great customer service all the way around. Would use them again in a heart beat. I am also a member of the monthly plan that includes annual A/C and heater check up and they have been great with that as well.

They replaced an upstairs A/C unit. They also did a few things that were above and beyond. I found everyone I dealt with to be very honest and professional.

Matt showed up on time and was incredibly polite, articulate, understanding and personable. He did a thorough evaluation of both systems and only found minor issues with one. He explained it carefully and made suggestions as to repairs. In general I think it's a great company with outstanding customer service. My only complaint is with the repeated mentions of the service contract and that fact that customers are told that with the service plan, they will receive preferential scheduling, and lower cost care. The reality is that I'm not sure how much less the care will actually be, because the customer is paying a fee for the discount. I am also not a big fan of "levels" service. Work was categorized as level 1, level 2 etc. with blanket charges to cover the various work levels. I much prefer a business that offers honest and fair pricing based on the individual job being done, and offering the best possible service to all customers. The cost of the evaluations was fair in my opinion 89.00 per unit. I have done business with some companies that charge one fee for the first unit and a reduced fee for additional units but in general I was happy with the evaluation. What I didn't like is that the repair that was done, a relatively simple part replacement that took under 15 minutes, was classified as a "level 1" install came at a cost of 159.00. It just seemed like a lot of money for the replacement of a capacitor. I declined the additional service offered because frankly the price seemed too high. I am not unhappy with the service I received, but I am disinclined to use this company again based on their pricing structure.

It went well. He arrived well within the two-hour window for the appointment. He wore foot covers to not drag in dirt from outside. He had to leave for an hour to pick up the circuit board; he didn't have the exact type in his truck. He did have the ceramic gas igniter on hand and quickly replaced it; he saw that it was about to fail. We were charged for the diagnostic plus the repair.

The service provided was great. The price was reasonable. They are very professional.

I'm on a yearly maintenance agreement with them and their service is excellent, it pays for itself. Now they usually comes twice a year unless I call them. They got any of the parts I need and I don't get charge of extra service fee for them if I call them to come out. There's never any weekend extra surcharges or anything.

I had interstate come out and redo the duct work at my house. I purchased the house in September and it had been recently renovated, the good looking young service tech, looked at the system and found that the duct work was completely wrong, which is why my house was having trouble cooling and heating. They came out and redid the duct work and did a FANTASTIC job! My house heat and cools MUCH better now and I don't have any hot or cold spots at all now! I would recommend this company to anyone! The service tech knew exactly what he was talking about, was very professional, and well dressed. The installers were very nice, professional and got the job done in no time!

Our heater was aging and when it initially broke in 12/12 a nice professional employee came out and replaced a part. He kindly educated us on the age of our unit and gave us a thorough 2,000$ estimate to replace the unit when this part brakes. A month later, a different young man came out when that part broke and gave us a 7499$ dollar estimate insisting that our 3 year old a/c unit must be replacedand accused us of lying about the 2k estimate for the heating unit stating that no one would do it for less than 4500 (We have a 2bedroom <1000 sq foot home). We wound up calling two other other companies who were also appalled with this estimate and got an amazing heater installed and brought up to code for 2200$. We called Interstate to report this man believing that he was independently trying to trick us out of money and they "stood by their employees". This interaction delayed are heater installation by 4 days in the winter with a 1 year old child in my house. I do not trust this company.

So I had them do the work at great expense. Then I started having problems with the unit drainage. I called them out 3 times to get if fixed and they couldn't fix it. I called another provider and they fixed it immediately! I then decided to give them another chance and had them come in the fall to service the heater! Immediately upon arrival the guy was trying to sell me equipment. Then after spending 1 1/2 hours in the attic the guy came down and told me I had a crack in my heat exchange and that it was under warranty but the labor would be $1300.00. I told him I was going to get a 2nd opinion. He kept telling me it wasn't safe to run and I needed to fix it immediately and would hardly take no for an answer. I then had an inspector come out and check it and they could find no indication if any problem!!! Never will I use them again. I spent hundreds of dollars initially and probably didn't need to.

We had the service plan with Interstate where you pay for 12 mos of servicing, and they came out to do some summer servicing on our A/C unit. When they saw that the condenser was running at 90% electrical capacity on a cooler day, he went to pull the plug off the condenser and it literally crumbled in his hand, rendering it totally useless. (the prongs are on the scroll condenser, not on the plug - go figure!) - He provided us options on a total unit replacement, but the cost was way too high for us at the time ($8500.00). We found many other places that can do a total system replacement at about $5500 - $6000 but I will say Interstate was very prompt, extremely professional, and they really are responsive and know their business. We have window units right now, and are weighing our options. We do need a total new system, and bigger return ducts, which will help greatly with our upstairs. We may go with Interstate just because of their guarantees, service, and know-how, but right now it's not an option for us financially.

.I purchased the "$44 for AC Tune-up, Safety Inspection, and 1 lb. of Freon" deal from Angie's List. I have an 18 year old heat pump. Wanted a check-up on my existing unit and advice on what I should get when it's time to replace my old unit. Got some great advice! He also made a change to the PVC drain pipe so that it will be easier to unclog in the future.

I was pleased with their service. I interviewed three different companies and they seemed to have a competitive offer. They were on time and were able to set a specific day. There were 2 maybe 3 technicians that came and we didn't encounter any problems. They also hauled away the old unit for me. They were extremely friendly.

Tech showed up during the time that they were supposed to, right off the bat I have to initial that it's $79.00 just for him to pull into my driveway, hooks gauge up and tells that I'm low on R-22 (something that most homeowners should know about basic A/C service) and probably have a leak. Tells me I need to initial to agree to additional $159.00 charge to run a meter and find out where my leak is (this process took 10 seconds and of course the leak was found right away at the evap coil). Tech called manufacturer (in his truck) and asked if a replacement coil was available, informed me that a replacement coil for my model wasn't available but they have since upgraded to a new kind which of course is more expensive. Tech quoted me $3,000 for an evaporator coil replacement, I asked him how much a new unit would cost and he said anywhere between $7,000-$15,000. Please remember I live in a home not a 25,000 SF manufacturing shop. I asked if he could give me some refrigerant to get me by since I'm already close to $250.00 for him to tell me what the problem was, the same problem that I myself diagnosed to their dispatch prior to the tech showing up. I was told that unless I sign a contract for the $3,000 replacement that they couldn't add refrigerant to my system. Nonetheless, I didn't sign the contract as the quote was obviously overpriced for the services to be performed. Funny thing is that I called a smaller A/C service provider that same day and they showed up (didn't charge me to leave oil spots in my driveway), called the same manufacturer (in front of me) regarding my evaporator coil and guess what, a replacment coil was on the shelf. The same replacement coil that I was told "wasn't available" just 2 hours prior from the Interstate Tech. (I'm sure it must have just arrived during that 2 hour window). New A/C service company quoted me $1,200 less to replace the coil and also added some refrigerant to hold me over until the repair could be completed at NO CHARGE. Repair was completed with perfection by the new service company 3 days later.

I called early in the morning expecting a voicemail, but got a person on the phone that set up an appointment for that day. The repair tech called before coming, arrived on time, was professionally dressed, explained my options and pricing, and got the job done quickly.

They were unbelievably Great!! They took 15 minutes to explain everything to me and answer all my questions!! That is unheard of from other service technicians. I have rental properties and the techs and companies I have been using is all about VOLUME and not about customer service. Get in and get out and move on to the other service call. This company blew them out of the water from first impression of the office staff making my appointment and even went out of their way to call tenant and schedule the appointment with her. The tech was very reasonable and didn't pressure us to do any unnecessary repairs/updates. I would whole heartedly use them again!! If they are reading this, thank you again for your great customer service!!

The repair person shows up on time on the same day. The service is top notch, but will try to sell you the "membership" to reduce the cost. The cost for replacing the capacitor is about 300 bucks, which is steep to my knowledge. The capacitor itself is only about 25 bucks. So if you have enough money and don't mind to pay, they are good for you.

Our downstairs unit was not producing cold air compared to the upstairs unit. The unit would run a long time and the pipes would freeze up. I called Interstate Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. based 60% on the reviews on Angie's List and 40% on talking to other HAVC companies. I was able to get a same day appointment. The technican arrived on time and was professional. He explained that he would run a diagnostic test to check to if there was a leak or if there was some other mechanical problem. He checked the outside part of the unit and determined everything is working properly. Once inside, he checked the mechanical workings and then ran a leak check. According to the tester, there were at least two separate leak areas on the evaporator coil. The evaporator coil had to be order. The technician came back in two day and installed the coil. It's been almost three months and everything is working great.

I contacted the provider on Saturday, 8-24-13 as my Central Air Unit was not performing very well. An appointment was scheduled for later that day, It was discovered that the unit had froze up and leaked moisture on the electrical circuit boards. The teccnician, Mr. Willie worked very hard to get the unit thawed out and the circuit boards dried out. He went over all of the options from repairing to replacement of the unit. Due to cost restraints I decided to get it repaired. He returned on Friday, 8-30-13 at exactly the time scheduled to put in the new parts. Again, he was friendly and professional. Intersstate Heat and Air will get my business in the future and I will when I am able purchase a new unit from them.

The people were very professional. They worked a twelve hour day and had us up and running instead of the quoted two days. Great service, courteous I can't say enough about these guys! They are great. Cleaned up the everything, the equipment runs great. No one likes to spend the money to replace a complete system but it was worth it.

They were good. I have used them a couple of times. They gave us an estimate on what it would take to get a new one, which was exorbitant, but I wouldn't tell that against them. They came to do what they said they would do and they did that well. They were very professional in everything they did. They were extraordinarily clean. They seemed to be very knowledgeable. They looked like they knew what they were doing. The price was a bargain.
