They lied to me to sell the system ( heat and air) and they were very pushy when I told them all I wanted was an estimate. When I called them on it they were rude and called me a liar and never tried to make amends.

Very good.
Description of Work: I have used Homeland for a little over a year now. Everything about this company is outstanding. Their serviceman, Tony, is one of the most professional/knowledgable in the business in my opinion. I signed an annual service agreement and am called on a timely basis to have my systems checked out and new filters installed.

A/C quit working around 9 Pm on Sat night. I called Homeland around 9:30 and was told the technicians were still out on calls (due to the extreme heat) and someone would call and as soon as possible on Sunday. Tony (my awesome buddy from previous service call) telephoned and showed up around 11 am. He found out the capacitor was faulty and replaced it. Due to the age of my system, he highly recommended (but no sales pressure) adding a part to extend the life of the compressor. I agreed to the installation of the part. Tony gladly accepted my $25 off service call coupon from YP phone book. Later in the week I noticed that Homeland advertised in the newspaper of guaranteed Tune Up service (which I had done in April), so I called them and they applied that TuneUp service fee toward an annual maintenance program offered by them. The following Sat afternoon the compressor fan motor quit running. I called Homeland and they apologized that there was no way they could not get to me until Sun morning between 8am and Noon. My buddy Tony showed up around 10:30 and quickly found out the capacitor he installed the weekend before was bad and he replaced it and stated that there was no service call charge due to warranty on the part. Due to extreme heat and seeing HVAC companies all over town repairing stressed A/C systems, I was not concerned of the delay of Homeland getting to me.I now am now covered by Homeland's Energy Savings Agreement (which is comparative priced as other plans I have seen) and I am confident that Homeland will keep my HVAC system in top shape!
Description of Work: Replaced faulty capacitor and installed recommended part to extend life of compressor (no sales pressure).

(I had used Homeland in Feb 2011 to fix a furnace problem during an ice storm, they were quick to respond and I was very satisfied.) I compared Homeland's newspaper AC Tuneup coupon for $59.95 (with 1 lb. of Freon) to other offers on the internet and Angies List and theirs was the best deal with freon replacement. I had to wait for a week to get my service, but I was not in any hurry. I got to pick my own two hour window. They called me to let me know that the technician (Tony) was on his way and he was prompt and within the time window. Tony was the same tech that serviced my furnace in 2011 and was very professional. After servicing my AC unit (and replaced some freon), Tony washed out the compressor unit and wound up the garden hose. He then came into the house and replaced my two AC return filters with higher quality filters. I asked him to check the accuracy of my digital unit and he did so promptly. Tony did not leave until he made sure I did not have any questions unanswered. I was very pleased with the service I got from Homeland and will definitely use use them again!
Description of Work: Performed AC tuneup (filled freon) , washed out compressor unit, and replaced filters (2) in AC returns. Also checked thermostat for accuracy.
