Jamie(the Foreman) and his helper took so much time and effort to make sure things were done right. They were kept constant communication in trying to clear out a ducting line in Bethany for us. They are amazing and use great technology. Thanks so much - WILL BLAKE

Hollowell plumbers replaced my side of the sewer line and contacted the city to do the work on city side of sewer line. The plumbers did not make opening big enough for city and refused to return to provide city with required opening size. I waited weeks for Hollowell to get around to resolving problem and when he didn't I finally got involved. I found out the city was waiting on Hollowell to come back out to make the area safe. Hollowell would not budge. I talked the city into sending a crew out to do Hollowell's job. City completed their work and when I called Hollowell back to come out and fininsh, they would not take my calls nor would they return my call. I had to call a second plumber out to reconnect the line. John Hollowell was not concerned about my comfort and was fine with me being unable to use a toilet, shower, or sink for weeks! He didn't care that I had to make other living arrangements during the weeks he would not work with the city. I was left to fend for myself. Not only will I never call John Hollowell for plumbing issues, I am warning anyone who is thinking about calling him that Hollowell plumbing is not concerned about you, the customer, only their convenience and income! I want a plumber I can trust to take good care of me. John Hollowell is not that plumber!

We got several estimates when our kitchen sink stopped draining and started backing up. Other plumbers gave us an estimate based on their examination of the sink and our description of the problem. Hollowell recommended that we have them run a scope down the drain to better delineate the scope of the problem before they provided an estimate. For this we had to pay an initial fee of less than $200, but they were able to give us a more accurate estimate which happened to be about $1,000 less than the other estimates we received. After they reached the collapsed pipe, we learned that there was an additional length of pipe down the line that needed to be replaced. They were up front about what they found and what they recommended and answered all of our questions. They didn't simply try to get us to authorize the additional work, but made sure that we were comfortable with what they were doing, including what they expected to charge for it. We authorized the additional work, and they made reasonable accommodations to try to keep the additional work from greatly increasing the total bill. They agreed to accomplish everything they could through the time they originally scheduled for the job without charging anything more than their initial estimate. After that they would continue to work at an hourly rate until they had finished the job. In sum, two plumbers showed up on time, worked diligently throughout the day, and stayed past 7 to complete the entire job, including the additional work in one day. They made sure we were satisfied with the condition of our kitchen before they left and were willing to stay longer if we'd wanted them to further clean the collateral mess associated with punching a hole a cement slab and excavating old pipes. They also tried to preserve as many of the cut floor tiles as they could, so that putting the floor back together would be easier. They were polite and direct and my wife never felt uncomfortable having them our house without me present. Jon and the two plumbers performing the work always treated us respectfully and made every effort to be sure that we were comfortable with what was happening. Another plumber may have done comparable work for a similar price, but the way we were treated is what will cause us to come back to Hollowell in the future. I would confidently recommend them to anyone facing significant plumbing issues. If I were this comfortable about having been treated fairly by every contractor I've engaged, I wouldn't bother to pay for a membership to a site like Angie's List. I really think of this as the experience you want to have whenever you have a serious problem in your home.
