They did a great job and I would use them again.

It took maybe 30 minutes. They are fine, professional. Service is excellent. I think they are excellent, they don't need to do anything to improve.

New system. (Few years old) Now no air. Bought my unit from them. Seems their techs can never get it right. Almost every year there is a problem. This was a top of the line unit. Wish I would have gone to another company. One tech says there's a problem to wait till weather warms up for service call to ck it. Few weeks ago another tech came out to check the unit and said all was ok. Now no air. AGAIN!!

I haven't had any trouble with them. They're usually here for about an hour taking care of things.

The service was fine. They were on time. They seemed to be organized. They called me back when they said they would.

My air conditioner stopped working during the night. I called the next morning, and they were out at the house by 11. Very professional.

The service was excellent. They are just honest, professional, and quick.

Compared to other companies I've used, the price was very high. (Last summer I had the capacitor changed by another company for $75, including parts and labor.) Troy came out the same day I called, and did fast and good work. Next time I need work done I plan to shop around a bit more, but in a jam, I would use them again. Troy was nice and professional.

Have had incredible service from Hinton. They replaced the compressor and motor on our A/C unit, filed all warranty paperwork. Very quick, very professional. Will use again.

They were superb.And they came out promptly, took care of the problems, I had to call them back for a different problem and because it was had been the month that I had used them, they did not charge the service call, they fixed it and everything is in 5 cents, so, I was extremely pleased with them. I want them to know that they are prompt, clean, knowledgeable, and they solved my problems quickly and effectively.

It was excellent. I got a nice, young man, and he gave me applicable discounts. I was very satisfied with the service. I would definitely use them again in the future.

The whole process worked out very well. They were very gracious. Their prices were the least expensive of the three estimates I received. My only complaint was they left some dirt and dust on the carpet from the old units. They hauled off the old units for me and they provided a good service. The supervisor even stopped by during the installation to make sure everything was going smoothly.

We called on Friday morning and they ended up finally getting here after 5 that day. Moises was the repairman and although he was here until almost 8, they didn't charge overtime because I had called early in the day. That's a very nice way to do business. The start capacitor had burned out, also the dual-run capacitor, but Moises fixed them, checked the unit all out, and it worked great.

The new HVAC installed by Hinton Refrigeration Co. meets high energy standards and qualified for a nice rebate from ONG. Everything was installed in one day, the old equipment was hauled off, and the site was cleaned up nicely. However, an error made by the installers required repairs to be made the next day, which were carried out quickly, flawlessly, and without complaint. After 5 weeks of service, we are very pleased (thrilled!) with the performance of the new equipment and with Hinton as a reputable HVAC dealer. We had received estimates from several providers, and the prices they quoted varied considerably as well as their recommendations for various costly options. For example, some dealers had suggested that they install one or more air return plenums, and Jeremy Stafford (residential manager from Hinton) considered that we already had an adequate number of plenums but had listed "ducting revisions" on his quote (which I mistakenly thought that they would install another plenum). When I asked Jeremy if they were going to install a new plenum, he said it would not be needed?but would install one anyway because I had asked for it. In this case, they went above and beyond what was required to responsibly settle a misunderstanding that other companies might have ignored. No extra fees beyond the estimate were charged for the original installation and subsequent minor repairs. I would definitely use Hinton Refrigeration Co. again in the future.

They were very, very nice, they gave us good pricing, but it's just the type of unit and my husband said no. We went with the other guy because my husband knew somebody that had worked there and I told him "Just 'cause you know somebody that works there doesn't mean it's going to be the best." They showed up when they said they were going to and they were professional and they didn't have us afterwards and I wished they had. I could tell that they know their stuff.

It went great, it is installed correctly and works wonderful.

Hinton came in the lowest of the 3 bids we had for an AC replacement, and we were very impressed both with the estimator, who seemed very knowledgeable, and with the workers. The workers came early, were polite and easy to communicate with, and they worked h****** a VERY hot day to get our new AC and heater installed. We liked that Hinton didn't "upcharge" for the extras - like replacing damaged ductwork, or for bringing our installation up to code - and that the estimator had clearly communicated the installation challenges to the installers before they started, leading to a smooth (if still long) installation.

AC was freezing up because it was low on freon and couldn't get my regular service person to come out so I tried Hinton after I found them on Angie's list. The repairman showed up on time, was professional and explained everything that he was doing. I was pleased with the work but paid much more than I would have typically paid for a freon recharge service call. Hinton charged me a trip charge, a freon charge, and a diagnostic fee charge, even though I had already shared with them the system has a small leak and needs to be recharged every couple of seasons.

They sent an experienced crew that went right to work and worked well together. Everyone knew their job/role and they set about getting all the tasks done with a minimum of fuss and no wasted time or motion. Removing old attic ductwork is invariably a mess but they did it smoothly and even let me hang around, watch, and help with the clean-up as they went along. I'm something of a clean freak, so that was important to me. I eyeballed every phase and they didn't seem to mind, and willingly entertained my questions. The new unit (a Lennox) is quite handsome. During the purchasing phase, they were willing to work with me regarding keeping my existing cooling coils, which are only a few years old. I got prices from three companies, with strong Angie ratings, and they had the best price. I can't imagine the installation could gone any smoother and been handled any better by another company. The estimator, Jeremy Stafford, was business like and knew his stuff. This is my first experience with a scroll compressor . . . and I am eager to see how it performs. I'll be comparing electric bills with previous years.

Last Nov our furnace would stop working periodically. Usually we'd notice it when we woke up and the house was cold. Hinton installed the furnace in the mid '90s and has been regularly servicing it so we called them. They responded quickly, but other than restarting the furnace, couldn't figure out the problem. We learned to turn everything off, wait a few minutes, then try to restart it. Usually after 3-8 times it would restart. As my father is 93 yo and every sensitive to temperature changes, this quickly became a real problem in December in OKC. Finally towards the end of Dec I got them to take the furnace apart to see if they could find the problem. The guy they sent spent about an hour, but couldn't find the problem. But he did take a CO reading, and that was when the scare tactics started. He said he got a CO reading of over 500 ppm by the outside exhaust on the furnace! He took a reading inside and got 5 ppm. He was very excited about getting the 5 ppm reading and started warning about the dangers of CO poisoning. He told me it was caused by a crack in our heat exchanger, though he couldn't find the leak. He said he'd get me a quote for both a repair and for a new system. He came back with the quotes and I told him I'd think about it. He did ask if we had a CO detector in the house and if we didn't get one! Shortly thereafter he came back and said his manager had sent him back to turn off our gas because of the high CO reading outside by the furnace. He told me his manager told him they were required by law to do that. He said I could turn it back on after he left, but he had to turn it off. I told him to come back with a sheriff if it was required by law and he could do it then. I researched CO poisoning and found MOST homes have a reading of 5-25 ppm. CO detectors don't even sound an alarm until much higher readings, in the 30-70 ppm range, varying by brand and model. While I wasn't happy with a reading of 5 ppm, it was NOT something to get panicky about, and certainly not enough to immediately spend over $6000.00 on to correct. And the CO reading by the exhaust vent was meaningless. I called some other furnace companies for a second opinion, and to give the first guy his due, 3 of them also couldn't find a crack in the heat exchanger, though all agreed the furnace needed to be repaired or replaced. the FIFTH furnace repairman that came out finally found the HOLE (not a crack) in the heat exchanger and showed it to me. It was about the size of a baseball. Hard to miss if you know what you're doing. He also explained how the hole in the heat exchanger was causing the furnace to shut down and not restart, which was the original problem, and one that no one else could explain or fix. BTW, ALL of the other companies that looked at the furnace told me they were not required by law to turn off our gas, though all of them did caution me on the dangers of CO poisoning and made sure I knew the symptoms to look for and if they occurred, to get out immediately. They also confirmed my research that the CO reading by the outside exhaust on the furnace was almost meaningless. Of course the CO will be high there. It's the exhaust, where CO goes! As long as we're not venting it back into the house somehow, not a problem. We ended up getting a new furnace, but not from Hinton! I found their scare tactics to be disgusting and was really disappointed in them. They were once a very reputable company, but I cannot say that about them anymore. We got the new furnace from the guy who knew what he was doing and found the problem!

My old system was about 16 years old and I was having problems for the last couple of summers. I had another company come to repair the unit and they charged over 300.00- and the system broke within 3 days. I then called Hinton for a second opinion based on their high rating on Angie's List. "Jeremy," their Residential Sales Manager arrived the next day. He removed the cover on the unit and within 10 seconds located the problem! He said I needed a new contact and quickly replaced the part and had the unit working once again. Since I had been having so many problems and I wanted to upgrade, I asked Jeremy if he would mind looking at my system and giving me an estimate of what it would cost to get a new more reliable and efficient system. He immediately went to work evaluating what we had. After about 30 minutes he was finished and patiently explained all the issues he observed which included my ducts being poorly routed, lack of dampers, need for an intake in the living area, and of course a new heat pump. The next day Jeremy emailed me 3 estimates and I chose the option that was within my families budget. About a week later he arrived (I left a key for him and his assistant) and they went to work. I was out of town, but after speaking with Jeremy, I was very comfortable allowing him to be at the house without supervision. The job took two days and they re-routed the ducting, replaced the heat pump/evaporator, installed dampers which allows me to now control air flow to all the rooms, and a new intake was placed in the living room. The installation was very professional and my house feels better than it ever has, I actually used to avoid the living room because of the temperature but now it is perfect and I couldn't be happier. The most impressive part of this whole story I saved for last. During the installation, one of the workers slipped and fell through the drywall ceiling in my garage and apparently took the attic door with him (he was okay). I returned home from out of town just as they finished doing a temporary repair of the mess. Jeremy was there and he told me there had been an accident and showed me the damage. He ensured me they would make it right but not only did they make it right, they actually made it better! A professional drywall installer came to the house to repair the ceiling and a new higher quality aluminum ladder was installed to replace the damaged one! Hinton Heating and Air and specifically Jeremy are some of the nicest, professional, and honest people I have ever had the honor of doing business with. I could not give them a higher recommendation. If you need heating or airconditioning work done, you should look no farther than Hinton.

My HVAC condesor unit went out during Oklahomas 100 degree plus temperatures. I spoke with Jeremy over the phone and he was able to diagnose the problem and came out to my home with a replacement part within the hour during one of the busiest HVAC service days due to the high temperatures. He also inspected my unit and replaced the capacitor and added freon in addition to replacing the fan motor which went out ensure efficient and optimal operation of my HVAC system. No pressure to purchase a replacement for my 1979 Lennox HVAC. I really appreciated his honesty and willingness to work within my families budget.

I found them on Angie's List. They are still my service provider today and I couldn't be happier with them. What they recommended is working perfectly for our house.
