Description of Work: We have used Hill and Company for years for many problems. They are always courteous on the phone and the guys they send to your house are very nice and professional. Their prices seem to be very reasonable. We had lightening strike our house recently and it burned out many items (not sure what all they were) in our heat and air systems. Hill and Co. did a wonderful job getting us back on line and were always on time and polite.

Description of Work: We are making a decision re; a new Heat and Air System. Wanted to include an estimate for a Trane. Dennis responded and was professional in his approach and we were fairly sure we would like to do business with him. However, his price was several thousand dollars over comparable units including the same Trane unit he estimated. In addition, he had priced thermostat and filters separately in the estimate. We intended to pay cash so asked if there was a possibility of a better price. He said no and was unwilling to ask his bosses. He said if it was in the Fall, there is more of a tendency to give a price break. We do understand free enterprise and competition. It was his right to do so. It left us with a negative feeling about this company and their obvious full compliment of customers and no need for new business. We will purchase the same system from another dealer who is recommended by Angie's List!!!

I appreciate you giving us the opportunity to bid your new system. I am sorry we were not able to do business together. We always want to do business with great customers like you. I am glad you felt Dennis was professional in his approach and made you feel like you wanted to do business with him. The only other thing I could ask of him is to better convey the value of a system installed by Hill & Company. Our installations are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive either. When you consider value, including a standard lifetime warranty and the quality of employees installing our systems, I believe our installation value is second to none. Description of Work: my air conditioner quit working on hot day, i called them and they sent some one out the tech dianosed it as electrical problem so i called electrician out and paid 200 dollars for him to tell me the compressor was burned up so basically they caused me to be out 200 plus there charge you would think a hvac person would know when a compressor is out?wouldnt you

Our work was performed in 2008 not 2009 and we just received this complaint in March 2010. Our charge was only $68 for both our initial visit and return visit combined. Our initial diagnoses was a bad disconnect and was apparently wrong. Misdiagnoses happen to the best technicians, but we make it up to our customers when it does. If there was not an electrical issue, then a refund will be issued for the $200. We have left a message for Mike and are waiting for a call back. You can always speak to our General Manager Jon Hill if you have any problems at all.
