Description of Work: We had a great experience with the Groutsmith. Everyone we worked with was professional, responsive, and friendly. The quality of the work is outstanding; we really could not be happier. I am not a grout expert, so I don't feel qualified to rate the price we paid to have our master bath tiles cleaned and sealed (and some old grout removed and replaced with caulking) & the floor tiles cleaned and sealed. However, the price fell about where I suspected it would--neither much higher nor much lower. I asked the folks with Groutsmith to quote me prices to do bits of tile cleaning and sealing in chunks, and after seeing how great "Phase 1" turned out, we'll certainly go ahead with the rest of the work over the next few months.

[name removed], It has come to my attention that you were not satisfied with the service that was provided you in October. The first my office heard about this was when you posted this review. The office manager contacted you via email and followed up with a phone can after she received not response. She offered for us to come out to your house and correct any situation that did not meet your standards and you declined. I would like to explain why we use caulking in corners and 90 degree angles of the shower. Grout is great because it is strong but bad because it has not flexibility. Using grout in corners usually leads to cracking and thats why we use a product with more flexibility like caulking for those situations. I did take a look at the pictures for you job and notes and I found the tech had said this "Their was a pool of water on the floor from a leaky shower head. I dried the floor with a towel and used a fan to help it dry quicker. I notified the homeowners to keep an eye on the floor and to call if the sealer lightens up." Could this be part of the reason you are experiencing a mold problem? Please let me know what I can do to help you have a positive experience with the Groutsmith. Sincerely, Kurtis

After looking into your file we found notes that said "Shower floor had water under tiles and many tiles were loosened from the floor. The technician suspects the floor separated from the tiles due to water traffic. To compensate Angie's list deal, clear caulked inside corners of shower next to glass, recaulked master bath tub, and recaulked master window sill above master bath tub." Also stated in the notes was the customer will have to replace their shower floor (which The Groutsmith) does not do. Any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call the office. Description of Work: I purchased daily deal from the Groutsmith. The service was for tile cleaning and sealant. Eric came out as scheduled and demonstrated the product. He cleaned and sealed one tile. He measured the kitchen floor and verified my email address. Eric stated someone would email the estimate to me. As of today i have not received the estimate. Nor do i know exactly what my $79 covered (other than the cleaning of one tile). This was the first time i used Angies List and based on this experience i'm not really excited about using it again.

Description of Work: Clean stand up shower tile, replaced or filled in missing spots of grout and resealed entire area. They did a great job as promised. I will use them again in other areas of the house as I continue remodel job. Before and after pictures reveal a brand new looking shower stall as this allowed me to save on a new tile job so I can utilize more in my budget to refurbish a Master Bath.

Description of Work: Cleaned the shower walls and floor. They removed loose grout and refilled those areas and low spots. Used grout caulk on the corners and edges. We could not use the shower for 1 day before or 5 days after for drying time. I was impressed on how clean they got the floor and how well the grout was sealed. A couple spots got missed but they returned shortly to fix the problem.

Description of Work: They did a good job. In the future I would get the estimate first. I felt the cost was too much for what they did. I have a very small shower stall and they cleaned the grout and replaced some, sealed it and also new caulking around the top of the bath tub in another bathroom. Took about 3 1/2 hours. The total out of pocket for me was $490 after the Angie's discount. Again too expensive in my thinking. The men were very professional.
