GlobeLink Security $12.99 Alarm Monitoring

It wasn't until we were moving to a new house, that I discovered we never were charged the lower $12.99 fee as promised at the end of our three year contract. (My husband handles the bills and he did not know our payment should have decreased at the end of three years.) When I called Globelink and pointed out that our bill should have been lowered over three years ago, they said that was too bad. They said it is the customer's responsibility to request the lower fee at the end of the three-year contract. I am the one that met with the sales rep and took meticulous notes, so I got out my notes. Just as I thought, I was never told that we needed to call and request the lower fee, nor was that information on the contract I signed. We had planned to continue with this alarm system at our new house, but we felt their practice of requiring the customer to request the lower fee at the end of the three year contract ( and not including that information on the contract) was deceptive and sneaky.

We have used Globelink for the past 5 years and moved service twice to new homes. In the industry, alarm contracts are bundled together and sold like commodities. Since these type of contracts all get the same quality of service from a third party, I try to find the most budget friendly provider. This monitoring service is on par with other services. Customer service is great. The owner is very knowledgeable of current security trends and technology. I've been very happy with the service.

We had monitoring under contract for ten months and are now moving to a different state so we are disconnecting service. I liked the price but the customer service was awful. They got my billing wrong twice and it took over two weeks and multiple calls and emails to get a tech to come out and take down my gsm. Also, we had multiple triggered alarms and no one ever called to verify or acknowledge that it was triggered. Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of having a monitored alarm system? To be quite frank, I'm not sure I even felt safe with the knowledge that even if someone broke in they would do anything. I should have done more research and found a more competent company. On the plus side, they do have good rates and I was able to pay $99 at the beginning of my contract in order to not have to pay for two years of service knowing we may be relocated.

I had my home alarm system installed and was very impressed by both the sales person with whom I dealt and also the installer. They were very easy to work with and also reasonably priced. I like that they are a local company, too. You are not a number with this company.

I would give them an A on every area. Their product just works.
