I was contacted the day before I was scheduled to come out early. It is nice to know that they are watching for opportunities to make customers happy. Technicians were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Took the time to explain to me other potential issues.

Over the weekend, we noticed our septic sprinklers had very little pressure and were running 5+ hours every day so we called Fosters Septic Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, Aaron came to our house. He was very professional and explained that he would check the system and, if any major repairs needed to be made, he would discuss them with them prior to doing any work. Come to find out, one of the pipes was originally installed incorrectly when the tank was installed and it caused the pipe to crack. Aaron installed a new pipe correctly so we wouldn't have this same issue again in the future. He was very thorough during his inspection and explaining the issue with me. He also reset our timer for us so sprinklers would go off in the middle of the night instead of the middle of the day like they were. I'm very happy we called Fosters Septic to repair our system and will be calling them for all our future septic needs.

Excellent company and service. Will use again without hesitation. The tank was dirtier than excepted once it was opened and the Fosters team stuck with the quote they gave me on the phone even thought the job took an hour longer than expected. I was so impressed by their thoroughness and professional attitude I asked them to add the extra hour to the quote.

Torrential rains in the Oklahoma City area over the past few days caused my septic tank to fill up, and/or caused my leach fields not to work properly. The problem started on Sunday, so on Monday I called Foster Septic. The nice lady who answered the phone said lots of people were having the same problem. She'd put me in as an emergency, but everybody else on the list was also an emergency. It would be Thursday morning before she could guarantee someone would be out to fix the problem, but if they could come sooner, they would. She told me it would cost $250. She called me Wednesday morning to find out if they could come then. YES! Two young men and a big truck showed up at my house a couple of hours later. One did all the grunt work and the other located the lid to the septic tank, and ran the pump on the truck. The one running the truck said he was fifth (or sixth?) generation of the family that owns the company and the nice lady I spoke to earlier was his mother. He didn't mind my watching everything they were doing, and he explained every step of the process. He told me to pour a cup of baker's yeast down the toilet once a month. Because my septic tank lid was a couple of feet below ground, he suggest I think about having risers installed to elevate the opening so that the next time I get the tank cleaned out, instead of digging up my yard, they could just get to it from the surface. That would cost about $200 installed, but he didn't propose doing it right then, and didn't even have the parts to do it, so he definitely wasn't giving me a hard sell. He said I should get my tank pumped out every three years or so, that the leach field will normally have a life of 25-30 years, but will last longer if we keep the tank cleaned out regularly. I had been concerned that they would have to rut up my yard with the big truck, but they didn't. They had really long hoses that they ran from the truck to the septic tank. From the time they got there until they left was maybe an hour, maybe not quite that long. The hole they had to dig to gain access to the septic tank was maybe 2' by 2', which I thought was not to bad at all. I was just pleased with the whole process. They were quick and clean, the price was reasonable, and my toilets now work great.

I called their office line at 930am Friday morning to set up a septic system cleaning appointment. They had a truck at my house by 1000am and my system cleaned by 1100am the same day. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and answered all the questions I had. The price was fair and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this company.

You can always count on Donnie. We have used Foster's a number of times and they always do an excellent job. They have corrected problems caused or overlooked by another septic service provider. We won't call anyone else now when we have a problem with our septic system. Donnie will also work with you on how to correct a problem with the least expense. We called last Thursday and asked specifically for him. He was to come on Friday, but got held up on another job and called to say he would be very late. We told him just to wait until Monday and he came right on time today. The job took several hours and included some good advice on how to keep the system maintained. No con, just results.
Description of Work: Donnie and Chris replaced float switches, cleaned the aerator diffuser, pumped out the aerobic tank and performed routine maintenance (added chlorine, etc.).

Donnie had cleaned out my septic tank in July 2013 and came back in November to diagnose an area within the lateral line drain field that was staying wet. During his inspection a water line was broken as the result of probing to find the laterals, and after a couple of trips to Lowes for PVC connectors they got the line repaired. He then told me of my options to remedy the problematic wet area in my yard, one of which was cleaning out the laterals which appeared to be full of roots. He warned that this process isn't always successful as the laterals may be collapsed and non functional, yet the customer is responsible for payment even if it doesn't resolve the problem. I appreciated his honesty on this issue. I considered my options for a few months and decided to go ahead and have the laterals cleaned. I called Fosters back in February 2014 and we scheduled a date to go ahead and clean the laterals. After a postponement due to weather, Donnie (Watts?) and another worker came out on March 12. They worked most of the day, and after cleaning out the laterals, they proceeded to repair water lines they had broken in the same area they had repaired back in November. When finished with the job, Donnie commented that the clean out had gone well and he felt that I might get 2 more years out of the system. What a shock! I had no idea prior to that moment that the system would be expected to fail and have to be replaced so quickly. This makes me wonder about some of the techniques I had observed and questioned while they were cleaning out the lines such as the fact that they had cut out a 4" section of each lateral near the terminal end to route out the lateral and then simply laid the 4" piece back on the dirt in the ditch from whence it had been cut, and made no connection between it and adjacent sections. They simply covered it with a piece of tar paper before backfilling the hole with dirt. When I questioned Donnie about it, he said it was the way their company had always done it. I guess if you expect it to only last up to two years, that may be sufficient, and that may be the way other companies do it. But it doesn't seem like you are expecting a long term solution to roots, etc in the lines with this technique. Then Donnie said I shouldn't run the sprinkler system for several days because the drain field was pretty wet and needed to dry out. They did not test the sprinkler system to make sure it was working okay. I spent the next day raking down the ruts left in my yard by the bobcat they had used and brought in dirt to level the areas where they had dug. A couple of days later I scattered new fescue grass seeds as it was quite likely to rain that day (and it did rain a little). The next day I was ready to start running the sprinkler system in the area where the work had been done 2-3 times per day for a few minutes as the seeds will die if allowed to dry out. HOWEVER, when I turned on that zone of the sprinkler system, it did not work and I could see water bubbling out of the ground near one of the holes they had dug. I called Fosters and asked that Donnie call me, explaining the problem and asking that he return soon to repair the line as I had to keep the seeds moist. When I didn't hear from him, I called again the next day, and again the following day, and again... He finally called me back a full week after I had first called. He advised me that he had talked to his dad (the owner of Fosters?) who told him he is prohibited by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) from repairing a water line within 10' of a lateral line. Hmmmm, why were they able to repair the very same line in November? Why was I not informed of this DEQ rule at an earlier date prior to the job? Why did he wait an entire week to get back with me? I called a sprinkler system company and he came out to repair the water line. He dug up the line and it was super obvious that Donnie had to be aware that that pipe was broken when he did the job ? the pipe was completely broken in half and the two ends were about 18" apart. One end had been pulled up almost to the surface and laterally away from the other. There is no way Donnie could have been unaware of the situation. The sprinkler specialist repaired the line and we tested that zone to be sure it was working. Well guess what, it still had no pressure. We walked around and found another place where water was bubbling out of the ground. This site was the same place where lines were broken in November when they came out for an assessment AND where Donnie and the other worker were lying on the ground supposedly repairing a break after cleaning out the lateral lines. The sprinkler specialist dug down to the pipe and found that the two ends Donnie had been working on did not even meet ? there was a gap between the two pipes. Now, if it is Foster's policy to not fix breaks, that should have been pointed out prior to doing the job, especially since they had repaired pipes on a previous trip in November, which to me indicated that if lines were broken during the clean out job, they would be repaired. And Donnie had asked me to turn off the breaker to the water wells so they could fix the breaks in the line, and he and the other worker had laid on the ground for a good long time on that March12 afternoon pretending to fix the break. it was highly unethical for him to lead me to believe that repairs had been made and advise that I should wait a few days to run the sprinkler system so the ground could dry out,. Since he obviously was knowingly leaving me with broken water lines, he could have at least told me about the breaks and marked where the breaks were so repairs could be made in a more timely and less costly manner. I certainly wouldn't have done the work on leveling and smoothing out the ruts and holes or wasted $50 worth of seeds by putting them out before I had a working sprinkler system. This deceit is overwhelming evidence of a lack of ethics.

They were very courteous from the first phone conversation to the technician that pumped out the tank. My only complaint if you can call it a complaint is that they were about 20% higher that the last company that we used. I am not dissatisfied with their service or profesionalism, ony the price. I would use them again if I felt their prices were more competitive.

I called Foster Septic Tank Cleaning after someone at another company informed us our water leak was due to a full septic tank. He successfully identified the leak, but informed us it had nothing to do with our septic tank. He was very polite, but still charged what I believe to be way more than a simple service charge for coming out and not actually doing what we called them out to do. Nice guys, but I won't be using them again.

When I answered the door the first thing the guy did was blow cigarette smoke in my face. And it went downhill from there. He had to come back a second time because of a nasty sewer smell in the laundry room that wasn't there before, and he wanted to charge me for another service call, though he did finally, reluctantly waive the fee. He suggested we need to replace the lateral lines, and may even need a new tank. That odor was not there before his visit, and 4 months later it's still there occasionally but not so strong. The odor is getting better over time and the lateral lines are working fine.

Purchased older home about 1yr ago. Didn't realize a concrete patio had been built over the septic tank. No access to the tank and stuff was starting to drain slowly in house. Foster's came out and found the tank after some hard searching. Had to cut a few holes in the concrete but cleaned up nicely. They left it like they found it and now I have access to the tank and things are flowing nicely in the home again. Paid a bit more than I wanted but thought the price was fair for the amount of work done. Would definitely recommend!

Great company. Have no complaints. A big rain/thunderstorm system that came thru day before, day of, and day after the original day they were scheduled to clean out my drain lines, they rescheduled and I had no problems with that. They came out and did an excellent job. There were some issues with the drain field lines not matching the drawings from DEQ completely (or even a and quot;newand quot; tank installed in 2005), but they worked through it and help me get my system back to working properly. I will definitely use them again! Tyler and his crew were GREAT!
Description of Work: Septic kept backing up since day one when I bought house. Figured the drain field/lines were blocked and not flowing. Scheduled these guys to clean out drain lines and get my system back to working. Once they started tracing drain lines, found the the new tank had been routed to old (1963) drain lines and the lines were collapsed. Five feet away were PVC lines that had been installed to a 2nd tank in 1992, but whomever installed the latest tank in 2005, ran the drain lines to old 1962 concrete drain lines???? On the drawings from DEQ, the latest tank was not even listed/shown. Whomever installed the 2005 tank (NOT FOSTER), really screwed the pooch and hosed the last owner (actually me since I am one having to have it corrected!).

Overall the experience was wonderful, considering they showed up earlier than planned.. Thanks a million guys
Description of Work: 1/2/2013 my plumbing was back up, thought it was having to many guest over the holidays. And probably one of many kids clogged it up. But after few trips to Walmart and finally talking with a plumber , found out my main line to the septic tank was clogged. Call a few company and although some of the prices were in the same ball park, no one could make it till the next day..I couldn't wait that long not with 15-20 folks in my house. Last call was to FOSTER's and I explain the problem to the receptionist and she told me the same story" can't get no one out there till first thing in the morning, after explaining the situation to her, she said the best she could do was to try to have someone out there late that evening. I was perfectly fine with that .While that was the main problem and with my tank near full, I told them since they were here to go ahead and complete pump it out empty.
