flooring contractor
+ -1 moreThe installation was planned with a seam in the middle of a high traffic area. When I complained, they revised the plan, but added a charge of about $100 that was not mentioned at the time. The resulting smaller seam was still noticeable at a glance. Half way through the job I complained that the flooring had a bulge. The salesman assured me, without looking at it, that it would be OK when finished. When job was done, the bulge was still there. I complained again, but nothing could be done for several days. They knew other contractors were installing molding around the floor the next day. I had to find another installer, one who knew what to do and easily fixed the problem. Floor World offered no reimbursement. The installers did not have the tools or the materials for the job. They did not have a jamb saw, required for floating floors. They did not know how to lift a toilet and they did not have a donut seal. George Green was the installation manager.
Description of Work: Floor World was contracted to install a vinyl floor in two bathrooms and a kitchen, total less than 300 sq. ft. The floor was floating and not to be glued down and described by the salesman as easy to install. The three rooms could have been done without seams and the salesman did not mention a seam.
