EDCO Plumbing, Heating & A/C

Technicians never showed. We were told someone would be here at noon today. No one came or called to explain that no would be coming. After calling twice and leaving messages which were never returned, we had to call other companies. We are unable to use our restrooms and have to go down the street to a convenience store for their facilities and will most likely not be able to have our problem fixed today because everyone else is booked for the weekend and we waited too long to set something up by giving Edco time to do what they promised today.

They're very good. They're really nice, prompt, do great work, and were quick. They scheduled me for a certain day, came in early and did everything all in one day.

The only number I will call from now on.

Completely unethical company as far as we are concerned. When they installed the new hot water tank in May 2016, they did not replace the approx. 22 y/o corroded copper flex tubing that connects from the water supply to the tank inlet and from the tank to the house. Less than 1 year after installation, the tubing from the water supply to the tank burst. Edco didn't cover replacing it under their 1 year parts & labor warranty since they didn't replace it at the time the water heater was installed (i.e. it wasn't "their" part that failed). Additionally, in April 2017 when they replaced the tubing that burst, they didn't go ahead and also replace the tubing from the tank to the house at the same time; charged $180 for this secondary repair that could have been prevented if they had replaced both pieces of the 22 y/o corroded copper flex at the time of the water heater installation. (Per the invoice detail for the water tank installation, they brought everything up to code at that time.) They did test our water pressure at the hose bib (also should have been done at the time of the water heater installation in my opinion) and alerted us to the fact that our water pressure is too high, and that we need to have a pressure reducing valve installed (quoted $2350 for that work); on the secondary repair invoice they did note that there is no warranty for that repair due to the high water pressure. We'll use a different provider to correct this and any other deficiencies in Edco's work - at this point I don't even want them at my house to try to "make things right", even if they were inclined to do so.

Quoted price for the work upfront before starting the tasks. I have checked their prices before and although they are not cheap their pricing is fair and their workmanship excellent. I have had them do other work in the past and even though they are not perfect, they stand behind their work and will come back to fix any problems without hassle or complaint.

We got the best air-conditioner for our home. They worked very hard during one of the hottest times of the summer.

The estimate was outrageously high, but my son was pressured by Edco staff who told him his house could be condemned by the city if he didn't have the work done immediately. They used scare tactics on a college kid. The cost was easily double what it should have been. We were able to negotiate it down only because their original estimate came out to be $185 per hour, not including the cost of materials.

We were aware of the problem with faucet and the needed repair, ie. washer replacement. Upon calling company and telling them that we needed a service tech to come to our home and replace washer in bathtub faucet, we were told the service call would be $65.00 and if it was only washer replacement the full charge would be the cost of washer added to the service charge. They also stated that if the stem needed to be replaced/rebuilt the charge would be $90.00 at most. The worker came to home 45 minutes late. The worker, was very pleasant and professional and completed work in just a few minutes since it was only in fact, a worn washer. However, upon calling his office and speaking to the owner/manager for the charges for billing, he was told to charge us $180.00. This was the same owner/manager that had told us on the phone upon setting the appointment that the charge would be $65.00 plus washer cost. The worker had been on the job for 20 min. We paid $100.00 and will not use again.

My A/C was not blowing cold air. They replaced fuses outside and all is well. Overall good job.

They did a good job but were not very professional. They were cursing around my childeren.

Edco Plumbing was the only company who could come out the same day. They called before arriving. The technician had the right parts in his truck. He was friendly and courteous, and had a nice appearance.
