Dickson's Painting

I had removed the wallpaper from bath and wanted the walls sealed and textured for paint. Daniel came out and gave me a price to do the work. The price was reasonable and he could do the project the next day. He estimated the job would take one day. He arrived on time and four hours later he said the job was done. The texture was not professional looking and the drywall was not sealed. I expressed my concerns and he told me the wall did not need to be sealed. I thought about it overnight and called him to come back and look at it. Once again he told me the texture was fine and I could paint over the drywall that was not sealed with no problem. I have painted....and what a mess. Everywhere painters tape was used the paint peels off in strips with the tape and the paint color is not consistent. At this point there is no fix for the mess; other than having the drywall removed and replaced and I do not have the money for it. I feel I gave Daniel the opportunity to make this right and he didn't do so. Would not recommend Dickson's Painting.

I can not recommend Daniel highly enough. He has decades of painting experience and it shows. He is friendly, professional, and was wonderful to work with when I had special requests or questions. His prices are fair and his quality is excellent. He will be returning in a few months to paint the exterior of the house when the weather warms up!

Daniel started the project earlier than I expected that he could, which was a great thing , and finished when he said it would be done. He was always on time and very friendly. Overall very happy with the job and will be hiring him again in the near future!

I called Dan Dickson and we discussed what it was I was wanting done. We scheduled a time and day for him to come to view and give me a estimate. When he came, he was extremely courteous and respectful, always calling me ma'am. After noticing a couple of water stains on the ceiling near one of the bookcases, he said he would paint the ceiling in addition to the fireplace brick and bookcases. I thought, "Wow. He would do that?" He quoted me a price and we worked out the details of the type of paint and what colors I wanted. He arrived about the time he said he would and went to work. By the end of the first day, he had the bookcases and brick primed. By the end of the second day, he had the bookcases painted, the ceiling painted and half of the brick painted. It was looking good; what a transformation! He finished by noon of the third day. Even though he initially told me the work would take two days, the little extra time didn't bother me. I was in no rush to have the work done. I was impressed with the quality of his work. He spent quite a bit of time preparing the living room: taping plastic around items, even the furniture and television; and taping up plastic as if it was a tent-like opening into the kitchen. You could tell he took pride in his work. I definitely would hire again, should I need painting services in the future. Price included four paint gallons of Behr Marquee paint.

Dan painted the interior of my company offices several years ago. His work was clean, on time, and on budget. His attention to detail was everything I’d expect from a professional painter. Last week, I asked Dan to bid on painting the interior of my house. After a great deal of consideration he declined to bid because the job was just too big for him, a one/two man company. I appreciate that Dan was honest about his limitations. Dan followed up with his recommendations for what I should look for in a painting contractor to do this job. Dan will always be my first choice for painting. You can't beat his professionalism and workmanship.

Daniel did a great job. He explained the process and did a great job of keeping me informed as he worked on the project.

The pro watered down the expensive paint we provided so that it wouldn't cover in one coat, then tried to get us to pay a huge amount for the second coat. On top of that, he got paint on the walls, which weren't going to be painted but no have to be, and all over the carpet and furniture. Total ripoff. Had the spend a bunch of time and money redoing his horrible work.

Went excellent. Daniel was here on time every day the painting was scheduled. If he had to leave, he let me know how long he would be gone. He let me know at the end of each painting day - what was left and what would be (tentatively) accomplished the next painting day. Very good experience. I would hire him again. The areas that were included in this painting look great.

He did not expect to offer exterior painting at all thru Angie's list, but agreed to do the job. He was extremely accommodating and finished the job as desired. We plan to hire him again for some interior painting.

Mr. Dickson was very professional. His work was great. He cleaned up everyday and actually ended up doing another project because he had the time. I am planning to use him again soon for other interior painting projects.

We were operating out of town, so everything was arranged via phone conversations. I was not able to see the finished product until a week later, and was I impressed. The work was beyond my expectations. I was speechless. The work was amazing. He even added a special touch that we had not even considered on the air condition vent. That was due to his experience and eye for what works best. We would definitely use his service again and would recommend anyone looking for quality painting to utilize his service.

Daniel and his son did a great job painting almost the entire interior of our new house. We are very happy with the results! They worked hard and were very careful in their prep to protect our wood trim. Very reasonable price and very professional. Highly recommend and would definitely use them again.
