I used DDM Heat and Air as a result of my home warranty company recommending them. Shortly after moving into my house, my outside unit failed. The fan seized up and the accumulator developed a leak and leaked all of the refrigerate out of the system. They replaced the fan and recharged the system, but within a day, the refrigerate had leaked out of the system. Another call to Dwayne Payne (the owner) and he came out again to check out the system. He said he would have to order the accumulator and it would be about a week to get the part. Two weeks later, I still had no part and I put some pressure on my home warranty company and called him nearly every day. Finally he called back to state that parts supplier didn't order the part--even though he had told me a few days before hand the part was in transit to his shop. I called him over and over again, and he finally showed up at my house with the correct part and installed... But it took nearly three weeks to get this resolved and this was in the middle of summer with record breaking 100+ degree weather! I would not recommend DDM Heat and Air because they cannot deliver. Even though my home warranty covered the cost of this repair and my out of pocket expense was minimal, I would have gladly paid good money for someone to properly and promptly fix my A/C system. After the service, I found out that he was on the Channel 9 news consumer watch report where his company left a family with a small child with a job halfway done. F for Fail.

Description of Work: After the Mintner & Sons fiasco, we tried DDM to fix our intermittent, 2 year old, A/C unit. They came out, looked at the system and said we needed a top off, and that we might have a leak. they "looked" for the leak, topped off the system, waited a while, tested the A/C (which had been off for the night due to malfunctioning) and then left. I called them out 2 other times, because the issue was not resolved. They came out both times, topped off the coolant, and left. After REPEATED phone calls to the boss of the outfit, I received NO return calls. DDM is worthless.
