Communication after making the request thru Angie's List was good. Owner was on time to assess work to be done. Bid/ estimate was ridiculous - twice as high as other two arborist bidding on the job.

A multimember team arrived on schedule with appropriate equiptment, promptly got to work very efficiently removing and disposing of a large tree, ground the roots and back filled the cavity. The entire process was completed in about 2+ hours. The cost for this job was significantly lower than other quotes I had obtained. If I ever have a future need for this service I would look no further than Cross Timbers!

I was impressed that Reynaldo was the first to contact me. (Angie's List gave me three additional names plus the one I inquired for.) He came by the next day to see what needed to be done. He said he would come back on Monday or Tuesday to spray the tree. He came on Saturday which was even sooner. So that was good. He was very professional and also very personable. Got the job done quickly and said that if we saw any new worms that he would come back and spray again at no charge. I do recommend him and his company highly.

My experience with contractors has been filled with many disappointments, but I was shocked how good Cross Timber Arborists are. I am soooo glad I went with him to remove my daughters tress. When I received his quote he was second highest of four quotes. I talked to each of my quotes in length and in multiple calls. I needed six large loblolly pines and one large sweet gum removed from my daughter's property. The loblollys were right against the back corners of the privacy fence; 3 on each side, and the sweet gum was center back. Multiple neighbors would be affected if the trees, or even one tree piece came down wrong. I needed this done right. I was also worried about my daughters sprinkler heads being broken. I could see this job could really turn into a nightmare for me. So, I looked up reviews on each one and even court records. The cheaper quotes both had been taken to court in the past by unhappy clients, so I determined not to use them. The highest quote came from Tree Wizard who was a complete disappointment; from getting a quote (had to request one 4 times) to them not showing up on the day they said they would be there (twice). Then when the arborists finally called to give me the quote they made me very uncomfortable. She questioned why I was removing the trees, to which I gave her the simple answer of my daughter wants them removed. Then she proceeded to go on with a long spiel that removing trees was bad for the environment and for resale of my property (Which in this case is not true it would only improve it). This spiel would be taught as a good idea in school. As I listened respectfully, I wondered if she ever considered; If I'm going to spend several thousands of dollars on my daughters property to remove trees; I probably have a very good reason as to why I want them to be removed. So very irritating. So when Reynaldo from Cross Timber Arborists called to offer me know he would reduce his price some, and do it on the day I needed, I swallowed, took the chance, and gave him the job. When the day came for him to do the work I drove over there hoping he was going to show up. I am so use to disappointments. Not only was he there, he had half of the job done. I stood and watched in amazement. He and his team of 5 were working like clock work. Each knew his job and each were working feverishly efficient in doing it. I wondered which one was Reynaldo (who I had talked to on the phone) or if any of them were him. Maybe he being the owner didn't actually do the labor. So, I asked and was told the man climbing the trees was him. I was shocked. It's unusual to see the owner working hard with his employees. As I continued to watch each cut off section of tree being lowered by ropes to ensure that each came down with out harm I was so very happy I hired him. I even asked him to do one more small pecan tree that was not in the original estimate. He told me how much extra that tree would be and I agreed. He originally said it would take two days to remove all the trees and grind down their stumps. He explained that he would be leaving the stump for the sweet gum and treating it with herbicide, then come back in four days to grind it down. Because the sweet gums are notorious for sending up suckers from the roots if they are just ground down. I was surprised he was taking this extra step to make sure the job was going to be successful. I left them to do the work and came back later to check on them at the end of the first day. I was again shocked. All the trees were done and there stumps ground (except the sweet gum stump). Everything was gone. No sticks, no needles, nothing. There was no gouges in the dirt . He had blown off the entire yard. It was as if there had never been any work there that day. It was perfect not one thing injured. He came back precisely when he said he would. He not only ground down the stump, but also removed the larger roots that were visibly. Again I was shocked. He didn't say he was going to do this. I was sooo pleased with his work. I payed him the original amount he quoted for the work without any discount he offered. He was worth the higher price. Every dollar of it. It is a rare thing for a contractor to be so diligent, courteous, and hard working. And it is even rarer for the work he does to be done beyond all expectations. I've seen a lot of tree trimmers in my neighborhood and I have never seen someone take as much care as Reynaldo did for me

Efficient, knowledgeable and professional. Cross Timbers responded to my request for estimate the day after I posted it to Angie's List, and the day after that, Mr. Escobedo came out to survey the job and make his estimate. I called the company about four days later to ask them to do the work, and Mr. Escobedo and his team were here the next morning, as arranged, to do the job. On the day of the job, I requested some additional work that I had forgotten to add to the original request. Mr. Escobedo responded courteously added that to the contract on the spot, with only a reasonable increase over the original estimate. The job included removing three large trees, three medium trees, two old holly "shrubs," four ancient photinia (living and dead) and miscellaneous pruning and trimming. The team arrived at the agreed 8 a.m. time, and were gone shortly after noon. Part of the job couldn't be completed because of equipment failure. Mr. Escobedo promised to return immediately after the weekend, and didn't require payment until he'd completed the whole job.

I could not be more pleased with their work! They trimmed 3 medium/large oaks & ground out 3 old stumps. The trees are beautiful--they look completely natural, not chopped up. The workers were courteous & professional; they cleaned up after themselves & left everything as it was. Will definitely be calling on them again when the time comes!

Very professional. Did a good job. They removed a very large tree that was damaging the fence between my and my neighbor's property. I had to say a "B" on quality, only because when they ground the stump, they left a very large mount of sawdust/wood chips up against my fence, which slopes down to normal about 15 feet away from the fence. Reynaldo said it would settle eventually. When I had contractors come out to replace my fence, they had to make the fence slope up over the leftover hill. It's not too much of a concern. A "B" is still good. It was good for the price.

Awesome! Reynaldo Escobedo and his amazing crew of 4-6 climbers/ground workers spent two full days on extensive tree trimming, vine removal, tree removal, stump grinding, as well as clearing the front and backyard of shrubs gone wild. (The previous homeowners had never trimmed the trees or shrubs in their 50+ years of ownership.) Reynaldo Escobedo and his crew worked efficiently and quickly to completely transform our yard in two days. While I was initially concerned with the enormity of the task to be completed, I was completely put at ease after the first two hours on the job when I saw the massive equipment brought to our house (bucket lift, stump grinder, tree/limb grinder, etc.) and the progress made. After the big work was done, the climbers were in the trees with their chainsaws and pole saws. They are pros with all of the proper safety equipment and procedures. The ground crew efficiently managed the falling timber and made sure to land the pieces away from buildings/fences. Once the job was completed, the crew spent time cleaning up the front and backyard, blowing off the driveway/patio/sidewalks, and even cleared the roof of leaves/small sticks. I received several quotes before undertaking this project. Reynaldo Escobedo at Cross Timbers Arobirists was nearly the most expensive quote I received, however, I selected his company after reading all of the reviews on Angie's List and understanding the equipment needed to complete the task and completing our project fully within my two-day budget. I also valued that Cross Timbers Arobirists was fully bonded, licensed, and insured. With all of the wood flying around, I did not want to risk anyone getting hurt on my property. I'm happy to report that the project was completed on time, on budget, and injury-free. If you've got a big job ahead, I highly recommend Reynaldo Escobedo at Cross Timbers Arborists to you. They are amazing.

I had called them after Labor Day 2017, and they said they were about two weeks out in getting the work done. Tuesday, September 26th was the scheduled day. Unfortunately, that day and the next had hard rains and high winds, so they weren't able to come out. Friday, September 29th was scheduled. After I mentioned an afternoon preference, they said they would probably be out in the early afternoon or a little earlier, as they had another job to do that morning. They called me about mid-morning that day and said they were getting done a little bit earlier than expected for their morning job, and wanted to know when they can start work on our tree. We settled on a time of 12:30. I don't know what I was thinking; I guess I was used to 'approximate' time frames when scheduling, that I didn't expect them to actually be at the house at 12:30. Yet, there they were. They were very punctual and were out there when they said they would be. They were also very polite and professional as they asked me to come out after they were done, to have me take a look at the tree and the work they did. I was very happy to see they took the time to rake up the little limbs and leaves from the yard. They were fast but very efficient, not to mention courteous and professional in their dealings with me. I couldn't be happier with their work or their work ethic.

From estimate to completion Cross Timber Arborists were professional, punctual, and proficient. Mr Escobedo promptly came on Friday to give us an estimate, we agreed and they completed the job in one-half a day on Monday. The four men were very efficient working together and we were very pleased with the result. One man climbed into each tree to thin them out, one trimmed all he could reach from the ground, one gathered limbs to feed into their chipper, raked etc turning all debris into mulch, and Renaldo oversaw the work as he cut larger limbs to make each tree perfect. A neighbor saw what they were doing, and had his tree trimmed a few days later. We are very happy with their work.
