It went well. Mr. Cummings was very thorough and took his time explaining the issues that he discovered.

They arrived on time, introduced themselves and briefed us on all of the upcoming process. They're very detailed and provided great feedback on any items found to be in question or of any concern. Cornerstone has my highest recommendation and appreciate the valuable information that they provided.

Richard (Rick) was contacted to perform an inspection for the pre buy of our house. He worked with our schedule to ensure both my husband and I would be present for the inspection. Rick showed on time, explained his process and got started right away. Rick has great attention to detail and was terrific at explaining what he was looking at, why it was an issue and the urgency in repair. He was very patient in answering all of our questions as we went through the inspection. The report we received was very easy to read and had plenty of pictures. The report, in addition to Rick answering our questions, helped us with prioritizing our inspection repair request to the sellers. I would recommend Cornerstone Residential Inspections for anyone needing a home inspection!!

Every home buyer deserves to base their personal decision to buy or not to buy with thorough and trustworthy information made available to them by an honest, and consummate professional inspector who works for his client, the buyer, and not the seller or real estate agent. Richard Cummings is that inspector, and I not only highly recommend him but also will use him in any future residential inspection I may need in the future.

Mr. Cummings was busy working when we arrived. He stopped to greet us and would stop periodically to inform us of any problems and to just bring us up to date. He even recorded our appliances and checked to see if there were any recalls He was very thorough and took the time for us to understand our new home and all the pros and cons. He even presented us with a homeowner's manual to help keep our home up-to-date. I feel very fortunate that we were referred to Cornerstone Inspections.

We were very happy with our inspection by Cornerstone Inspections. They were very friendly, on time, and through. As our first home, we had a lot of questions, and he was very patient and explained everything. He explained everything he was seeing and even gave us general maintenance tips, which we really appreciated! He gives a rating according to how serious and problem is and includes everything in a very detailed report. I really loved the images in the report that explain what all the terms mean and what the actual problem is. Overall he did an awesome job and we would definitely hire him again :)

Easy, Comfortable, Affordable, Nice, Professional, I could go on and on. I was so pleased with the inspection. I have never bought a house before, so I didn't know what to expect. He made the whole thing easy and I was able to understand everything he told me. Richard was at the house before me, and I was about 10 minutes early. He introduced himself and his wife, Lisa. They are both very nice and polite. We made small talk and then they got to work. I was very comfortable talking to both of them. My Realtor was not there yet to let them in the house, so Richard started up on the roof. He was up there a while taking pictures and making sure everything was in tact. He consulted with me after the roof inspection with what he found and then moved on to the next inspection. After the Realtor got there he went room by room turning everything on and off, pulling blinds up, closing doors, etc. Periodically he would stop and tell me what he or his wife found, if anything. He was impressed with my small house. Any issues that came up he was quick to offer a suggestion on how or who could fix it. After the inspection was finished he explained the report that I and my Realtor would be receiving and the Recall report as well. He and his wife input all of the information in that night, and I received my inspection and recall reports less than 24 hours later, In fact, I had them in my e-mail before noon the following day. I was surprised when I received a phone call from Richard the following Monday. There was an issue he found at the house that he had never seen before. (The previous home owners took the washing machine run-off (dirty water) and placed the hose in a piece of gutter that led out to their yard. It's supposed to go down a drain into a sewer.) This issue ate at Richard until he called a plumber, explained the situation, and found out that was a code violation! He explained everything to me, and had a revised home inspection report e-mailed to me shortly after I got off the phone with him. The report was very detailed with a summary and then a breakdown of each major area, i.e.-electric, plumbing, interior, exterior, etc. And he included every picture he took so I would know what he was talking about. He does charge a little bit more if you have a crawl space, but that is understandable. I WILL be using Richard again for the next home I buy and I will recommend him to everyone.

The home inspection report we received from Richard was VERY thorough. The report was very detailed and easy to read, with pictures and diagrams. They were very nice people, easy to talk to, and were willing to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Richard with Cornerstone Inspections!

Richard was extremely polite, professional, and thorough. The inspection came in a very coherent and easy-to-understand document that was emailed to us upon request. Here's why Richard is better than others: We were buying an older home and had already received bad news from a previous inspector who recommended that we cut the inspection short because, for him, everything he had found was a deal breaker. Well, cooler heads eventually prevailed but we had to have someone come back out and do a complete inspection. I didn't call the old guy back and instead called Richard. He was very thorough as well as realistic in his recommendations. Some inspectors think they aren't doing their job if they don't scare the h*** out of you about everything they find. This is where Richard set himself apart with his professionalism. He is able to point out problem areas and make recommendations without being too hyperbolic and animated about it. Additionally, he was very helpful after the services were completed and answered all of our additional questions a month or two later.

Richard was very thorough and gave me a detailed, well-presented inspection report. The report came through very quickly.

Rick and his wife were on time and accommodating. As first time homebuyers we felt like the clock was off and that our questions were valid no matter how many. On Mother's Day no less.
