Was NOT a professional job. Alex suggested a brushed finish. I agreed, my old patio had a brushed finish. Their "brushed finish" was very very rough and deep. The very worst thing was that the patio was not finished properly. It should have been smoothed before they put a finish on it. It was horrible. I was/am extremely unhappy. Alex did come out when I complained . His crew spent two or three hours trying to sand down the finish. Since the patio wasn't smoothed properly to begin with, no amount of sanding would fix it. I feel bad every time I look at it. I am so disappointed.

It went well. We were happy with their work. They had to determine where to put the chandelier to center it in the opening. They worked quickly, and stayed focused on what they were doing.

Excellent. They were courteous, prompt and cleaned up completely. Result was just what I had hoped for.

They did an excellent job. A small delay due to rain but still completed in a timely manner. Sprinkler system also had to be moved. I felt they did the job for a reasonable cost. Overall, very pleased and would use them again.

There were probably about 6 workers and it took about a week. I would give the clean up probably an 8 on a 10 scale. They were extremely customer responsive to our requests.

After last review I gave for the work, Alex contacted me to see what he could do for me to repair the damage done to both He and I. Though most of the problems mentioned in the review I could easily fix myself and already had been fixed, I was satisfied that he was willing to come over and fix the problems himself. He seems to be interested in maintaining good customer relations.

I had no complain. They came and finish the job on time. It's still in the drying process, but so far it looks great. Thank you Alex for doing such a great job!

This is the 2nd job Alex has done for me. His crew does a great job. They start the job on time. They are there everyday on time and do awesome work. I couldn't be happier!!! I love my new back yard driveway!!!!

Great! Alex came out the same day I called to give me an estimate. I hired him that day because of his great reviews. His crew started on time just Alex said. They worked Monday through Friday until the job was completed. They even worked a couple of hours on a Sunday cutting the concrete so they could finish the job on Monday. They did run over a couple of extra days, but it was not a problem and Alex keep me up to date at all times. When the patio was finished it looked beautiful. I did notice a few breaks in the concrete and places where the sealant did not quite cover the concrete. Alex had his crew back out immediately and fixed the breaks and completely resealed the entire patio again. I love it. They did an awesome job. I will need them again soon to replace my blacktop driveway with concrete.

Alex, the owner was referred through the nextdoor.com website. I requested referrals and he was one of them recommended. After researching his website and other locations on the Internet he was contacted for an estimate. I was impressed that the owner/operator answered the phone and was quick to respond to provide an estimate. We only had a general idea of what we wanted and knew the grade of the land would provide some challenges. Alex was able to answer every question, provide suggestions as to what they could do and took all the necessary measurements. Within a few minutes he provided a written estimate that was approximately 1/2 of a landscape firm we had talked to previously. We established a tentative start date that had to be moved back because of other construction being done on the property. A fence was being replaced and should have been installed before the drainage and pavement. Alex worked hard to coordinate with the fence company so all work could be completed efficiently and professionally. Before we actually started work we discussed stamped vs stained concrete. His website had some beautiful pictures. Once we looked it all over we increased the project to the flagstone stamp colored to accent our house. We had them take out a small walkway garden and made it as wide as the front porch. Essentially this makes a nice sitting area in the front our house. The week his crews were working on my property was hectic, but orderly. All of the individuals on the crews were very polite and extremely hard workers. The heat was extreme, but the leads made sure breaks were taken and personnel were safe. As the work progressed and questions arose, either one of the crew could answer, or I could call Alex. He was always available. Alex was on property a lot of the time overseeing the work. Despite the extreme heat and issues by the fence company, the projects all went very smoothly. It was amazing to watch everything come together. We have fought mud battles on both sides our house since we moved in 13-years ago. The concrete sidewalks and patio are an awesome addition. The stamped area in front of the house evolved step by step, each one more exciting that the last. When cleaned up and finished, it was better than we could have imagined. Alex and his crew have transformed our home into an area that the neighbors slow to see the work. Numerous people have already seen his work and asked for his contact information, which I have gladly given. I strongly recommend Alex's Construction without any reservations.

Alex was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, gave a timely estimate, and got us scheduled right away. His crew was very professional and polite - they even stacked all of the flagstone on the side of the house for future usage. I can't recommend his services enough - our patio is beautiful and we've gotten so many compliments! A+++

The work performed was done well, I would use Alex's Construction again. The crew was pleasant and professional. I felt the price was fair and was overall pleased with the work done. I appreciated that they left my yard clean and picked up after they were done. The only area for improvement that I can see is just a communication issue. I would appreciate a little better communication on the timeline of what was being done and when. Other than that, I am very pleased with the job and would use them if I had need to again in the future.

This was probably the very best experience we've had with any contractor. We had a major excavation project that others attempted to resolve, but failed. Alex and his crew did an incredible job and did it in the time frame as promised. Besides the work being done properly and with exceptional craftsmanship, what I most appreciate is the fact that he was honest and didn't try to get me to add and pay for services that were unnecessary. Great experience.

Everything went great, Alex showed up exactly when he said he would for the estimate. We really liked his attitude very professional from stat to finish. We are very happy with the results. Would not hesitate to use his company again

While renovating a 1949 house, we discovered drainage problems with a sidewalk than ran alongside the house. Alex's crew removed the old sidewalk and poured a new sidewalk that allowed water to drain away from the house and then down the driveway to the street. We decided to replace the back patio and porch stoop at the same time. In addition, we asked them to remove the concrete steps from the front porch and add a new sidewalk, steps and small stoop for a new entry into the house. The guys at Alex Construction did an outstanding job. All the new concrete is appropriately sloped to direct water away from the house and Alex had them add a little extra depth to the edge of the sidewalk to prevent rainwater from migrating under the walkway and entering the crawl space under the house. The walkways, steps, porches and patio look great and in hindsight I probably should have asked them to replace all the old concrete walkways in the backyard. Big improvement in the appearance of the house exterior. The crew cleaned up all the grounds and even replaced some soil and sod along the edges of the patio. It was a pleasure to work with some real professionals.

Our driveway was done in 2 days and then a third day to clean and remove any forms and power wash it. It looks fine for a driveway which is never a fun way to spend money. Alex came out and gave what we felt was a fair estimate and helped with the issue of drainage that was causing erosion under the driveway. We actually had a heavy rain the night after they did the demolition. Lucky us! In August no less. They were to come the next morning at 8:30...when I didn't hear if they were coming or not coming, I finally texted Alex and he said they would not be there due to the rain. My only complaint is that he should have contacted me first instead of leaving me to wonder. I would have made other plans then. I was quite nervous with the job because of the rain we had, but he assured me it would work out and the job would be fine. And it was.

Great experience! Alex quickly responded to our request for a quote. His bid was in the middle of two others, and we felt like he understood the problem and the solution. We scheduled about three weeks out. The guys worked extremely hard. Alex walked us through everything when it was done and had a guy come back to touch up some spots. Now we can't wait until it rains to see the new drainage system at work!

We had an event coming and were short on time. A friend recommended Alex because he had already done several jobs for her. He responded quickly, was able to fit us in and did the work in less than a week! The job was beautifully and professionally done. My house looks great! We higghly recommend his services.

After telling Alex were I lived he said I was out of his service area. When you look at the map were he services I was only about block or two outside his service area. Nothing like being black and white.

The crew was on time and worked to complete the job in 3 days. Looks very nice. Accomplished the task that was to keep water draining away from the house and out to the street. The concrete pad around a corner of the shed looks great. Just the right amount for the step to enter and wide enough for a potting table. They were are pleased with all of the concrete work and would use them again in the future if want more work done!

First of all Alex answers his phone, which was a bonus! He came out on the date and time he said he would, even called ahead to remind me he was coming out to give me a free estimate. He gave me a written estimate on the back of a business card as opposed to an actual piece of paper, which made me a little leery, but I chose to go with him anyway. He wasn't the cheapest of the three estimates I got ($1900), but he wasn't the most expensive either (other two estimates were $1500 and $2300). As soon as I gave him the green light to start work, he ordered the permit and his crew showed up on time to start the work. It took three days, just like he said it would and the guys cleaned up afterward. I'm thankful to Alex for his professionalism and and his crew for doing a great job! I'm definitely using him again for some of my rehab projects!

Alex was excellent. He quoted me several levels for the job we ultimately did and wasn't upset that we chose the smallest option. The day the work was to be done the gentleman in his crew came out, measured everything, discussed what was to be done and then checked periodically to make sure it was to my satisfaction. The cleanup was great and very professional as well. Would certainly use them again.

Excellent job. Showed up on time. Crew was polite and hard working. When I had a problem with the corners crumbling during the following days while drying the contractor returned without complaint and fixed the problem. It's been several months and the job has held up. I would recommend these guys any day and would use them again. Their price was also competitive considering that some contractors would not consider such a small job in a remote corner of the backyard (the concrete had to be brought in by wheel barrow). Good job guys!
