+ -1 moreOverall, the job went very well. The roof replacement was done quickly and to our satisfaction. Once the insurance settlement was completed, we setup a work schedule with Ron to get the work done. He really did a great job for us. We are very happy with how easy and painless it was to get a new roof. I credit Ron's efforts as being a large part of our good experience. He was easy to contact and always responsive.The Aduddell roofing crew arrived on time and basically got our whole roof replaced in just 2 days. They worked very quickly and for long hours to get the job done on schedule. They did an excellent job of replacing our roof. They were very professional and definitely had a plan on how to do the roof replacement. Everybody seemed to have a job to do and knew what had to be done. They were very hard-working and worked well together. No one was just sitting around waiting to be told what to do. There was a beehive of activity getting our roof replaced!!The supervisor of the Aduddel crew - Aiden - was very good to work with. He stayed on the job at our house - he didn't disappear to work on other jobs. He was easy to talk to and was responsive to our questions and requests. Aiden actually installed the roofing membrane himself - he said that was his specialty to use the blow torch or "welding" as he called it. The new roof looks great. We feel like we got good value for our money. We are really hopeful that the impact resistant shingles will keep us from having to replace the roof again after the next hailstorm. We are very pleased with our new roof and would highly recommend Aduddell Roofing to others who need roof repairs.
Description of Work: Aduddell Roofing replaced the roof on our house after it was damaged by the recent May 29 hailstorm. Ron from Aduddell worked with our insurance adjuster to make sure all needed roof repairs were included in the repair estimate. He came to our house on a Sunday afternoon to meet with the insurance adjuster. That was impressive to me in that he would give up part of his Sunday to work with the adjuster!Our roof is a combination of shingles and rolled-on membrane roofing material. Aduddell removed all of the old roof materials and then installed new shingles and roof membrane. The shingles were nailed in place. The membrance was installed using a blow torch to heat the material which caused it to stick in place. We used Class 4 impact resistent shingles to try to minimize damage from any future hailstorms. The Aduddell crew arrived on time and basically got the whole roof replaced in 2 days. They worked very quickly and for long hours even though it was extremely hot. They replaced the flashing around the fireplace and the skylight to minimize problems with any water leaks. They made sure that the seam between the shingles and the rolled on membrane overlapped sufficiently to seal out any moisture. And they sealed up around all the vent pipes to waterproof them. When they removed the old roof, they discovered that some of the wood underlayment had been damaged and needed to be repaired. They cut out the damaged boards and installed new 1x8 planks for only the cost of the materials. This was great that they fixed the damaged boards even though they could have just covered everything up. This showed me that they wanted to do a good job on our roof.Once they had completed the roof installation, they cleaned up the premises - picked up all the stray nails, shingles, paper wrappers, trash, etc. It was hard to tell that the roof had been replaced when they were done cleaning up.This is the third roof that Aduddell has done on our house - first one in 1998, second in 2010, and third one in 2012. All three roofs were done very well with minimal problems. When we had to call to get several minor repairs done, Aduddell was there to handle them quickly. They are a local company who stands behind their work which really means a lot. You can't beat their reliability and dependability. That's why we've hired them 3 times.

+ -1 moreDid not use galvanized nails according to contract. Used both skilled an unskilled workers so quality varied throughout the roof. Did not adequately clean up. Shingles have been falling off and owners will not respond to request to look at it.

+ -1 moreThe first set of workers that showed up wouldn't go up on the roof because we have a very steep pitch but that was handled very well by the company. The second crew showed up within 30 minutes of the first crew leaving and were up on the roof immediately. We were very pleased with the work, price, clean up, and pricing. They worked non-stop until the job was complete. We haven't had any problems with the roof since. They were always available if I had questions.
Description of Work: Aduddle replaced my roof because of hail damage. They did a complete tear-off of the old roof. Our house is 2500 sq. ft.

He was very direct and a very patient person in answering all of our questions. The price seemed in line. We would recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreThe workers left cigarette butts, trash and debris and many nails in our yard. That resulted in one flat tire. They also left a piece of flashing bent. Even though I called them back over a month ago no one has arrived.

+ -1 moreAt the end of July I called and received an estimate from Ron. After about a week I called back and told him to proceed with the work. He told me they were about a month out. He said they would call when it got closer to the time to install. Two to three weeks later roofing materials showed on my roof. Ron called after Labor Day and said if it doesn't rain they would be there Wed. It rained but they showed up around 9:00 a.m Thursday (the next day) and were finished with almost everything by nightfall. Virtually all that was left was clean up. Aduddell was by far the best. They had a full crew, showed up when they said, did a great job on the roof and cleaned up everything! I would highly recommend them.
