Description of Work: The movers got stuck in the mud in my front yard(lived in the country). They spent all afternoon trying to tell me I was responsible for paying a tow truck. I asked them to move a couple of bird baths but they stated they would break. They weigh 100 # each and are made of cement! So I was forced to have my sister and 75 y/o father move them while I was closing on 2 houses! I asked them about making another trip to get things that didn't fit in the truck and they didn't want to do that either and I had to get family to make 3-4 trips with a pickup. After unloading at the new house they didn't seem like they wanted to put things where they went, they just wanted to hurry and leave. And I did have to pay the 1 and1/2 -2 hours they were stuck in the mud. And while rocking the truck trying to get it unstuck, I heard several of my things crashing To the floor!!!! Not a good experience on an already stressful day. The company did pay for the tow truck to get them out.

When we first arrived at this job site. The customer told the crew they would need to park in her yard to load the contents out of her house. The driver explained and had her initial off on the exterior risk part of our paper work. It states clearly on our paper work that if you ask us to park in the yard and we get stuck you will be responsible for any towing service. She signed agreeing to those terms. Unfortuntaley the truck did get stuck in the yard. When the driver asked the customer to find a tow truck to have the truck pulled out she refused. The driver contacted me and I found the tow truck. They continued on to the destination to unload shipment. The bill for the tow was brought up at the end of the move. No one from the office nor did the employees talk to the customer all day about this tow bill. She refused to pay the bill so the 2 Fellas paid the cost of the tow which was 180.00. There were no damages to any of the customers furniture. This is in reference to hearing things in the truck moving around while the driver was trying to get out of the customers yard. As for the bird baths that were left at the origin. My driver offered to go back and get the bird baths if she would like. There was no room left on the first load to take them. He explained the potential damages that might be caused to the concrete bird baths and that it would take additional time to go back to get them but he would do his best to protect them. The customer locations were over an hour apart from each other. The customer wanted to know how much longer it would take to get these remaining items. The driver told her about 3 hours. She then decided not to have them go back. We always try to take care of our customers by providing excellent customer service. We chose not to charge the customer for the tow bill to ensure her move was a positive experience. .
