Our air conditioner unit went out on a Friday evening just as our usual HVAC guy was leaving town and the summer heat was rising. Patrick’s business, Wellmans Inc. came highly recommended. We ended up needing a new unit and Patrick and his team were able to get our unit replaced and up and running less than 24 hours after requesting a service call, the job itself was completed in a few short hours. Patrick was super knowledgeable and took the time to fully explain everything and go through our options with us which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend giving him a call if you find yourself in need of a repair.

Made an appointment a week in advance with this company to have my heating unit serviced. Appointment was for 10:00 am. At 11:30 am, no one had showed up or bothered to call. When I called to see what the problem was, I was told they had a "walk-in emergency," their technician was working on it, stated they "forgot" about my appointment and asked if they could come in the afternoon. I had already set aside a 3 hour block of my time that morning for them to come, giving them the benefit of any extra time they might be running late (and my time is just as precious) and I stated I could not wait all afternoon as I had another appointment, anyway. The fact that this company didn't have the common courtesy to even call to let me know about their emergency and "conveniently" forgot about my appointment (and evidently forgot to even place my appointment on their schedule) tells me all I need to know about this company. They're not the only ones who do this, by the way, and they're not the only ones who have used that VERY SAME EXCUSE OF AN "EMERGENCY." Beginning to wonder if they, and some other HVAC companies in this city, place those of us at the bottom of their list who only want a "below $100" tune-up/service in lieu of spending hundreds or thousands with them. I also wonder if they would have treated a "male" customer this way? I would NOT recommend them if you want your heating or a/c unit tuned-up/serviced. They are very inconsiderate of "certain" customers (i.e., possibly females?) and their business practice leaves a lot to be desired.

He was able to fit us in between other jobs and got us back to comfort in a fast time. Compressor was bad on the heat pump and the refrigerant had leaked out. Compression test showed a slow leak. He couldn't tell us if the leak had caused the compressor to fail or if the compressor failing caused the leak, but did give us the options to either replace the compressor or replace the entire unit. We chose to replace the entire unit in order to take advantage of the new warranty. The cost was just a modest difference. Patrick and Trey were courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and competent. Couldn't ask for better service.
