Eco Landscaping

Eco Landscaping did a wonderful job. Removed the existing flagstone and edging. Increased the size of the patio to the original design specifications. Regraded the base to take care of the drainage issues of the first patio. Recommended and installed a beautiful stone selection for the top that does not move around when you walk on them as the previous ones had. Reinstalled the edging making sure that it was straight, square, and at the proper height. A very nice finished product. Adam and his crew were respectful of our property and did not leave trash or tools scattered around and throughly cleaned up the work area after they were done. Very pleased with our decision hiring Eco Landscaping to clean up the mess left from the first contractor. Definitely our first choice for any future design and landscaping projects.

Very good work, very professionally done. They excavated a small section of the yard next to an existing bed, and put fresh planting soil into the spot, then lined the edge of the new gardening bed with stones. It looks very nice, and blends in well with the existing bed, and is already doing very well with our spring vegetable planting. Also, Adam was very helpful when he came out to discuss the plans for the bed, and other long-term plans for our yard. He provided some really good ideas for future work, and some nice tips for things we could do ourselves to improve the yard (suggested plants, etc).

It was okay, nothing great. They just did the job, it was nothing spectacular. They went over the 2 hours so they charged a little bit more. I would probably not use them again.

I kept having to explain what needed to be done. I don't use them anymore and I certainly do not use "package deals" any more. The lower price is just a foot--in-the-door thing to bump up the price. I'd rather have a hard-bid and be done with it. I'm not up-sell consumer.

I like the work that the owner did, now some of his help, I didn’t really feel like they were qualified. I mean a lot of times people say I’ll come do this, or I’ll come do that, for example, if you’re cleaning out a flower bed, there’s a reason that the home owner are not netting the weed, it’s a weed fabric that you put down, and one girl was just pulling that all up. Overall, I think he did his best to facile what people wanted to do, I was just a little disappointed in some of them. We just seem like we had a communication problem, I don’t know if it was my fault or his, but I think with a little more experience he could be a good company.

It went very well, even though sometimes the team had to work with lots of mud and sometimes, they worked in light rain. They were extremely careful with our inground sprinkling system and they often checked with me about how I liked the progress. After work had been started and they had a better idea of how swampy my yard could get, (thank you Mother Nature for all that extra rain this year), I asked about extending the French drain under the fence and into the front yard. Adam agreed that it would be a good idea and redid his original plan to include that. There were more expenses because of the change but I think the yard needed it and since he had to add supplies and do additional work, I had no problems paying more. Adam was extremely thoughtful about the design process and the actual work. His team was polite and hardworking. Since a friend recommended Adam's company, I have no idea if the price I paid was the market price because I only talked to Adam about what I wanted. This not usually the way I do things--I get recommendations and ask for bids but my friend raved about the company and I am extremely happy with Adam's work and would hire him again in a heartbeat so I'd say my leap of faith worked out. My only negative comment would be that I had to wait awhile before they could get to my project but honestly, I think this is actually a compliment because so many people want Adam to do their yards that there's a line for his services!

arrived with three workers not too well equipped with a very small open trailer to haul away bushels of leaves. Also added a charge for Hauling and disposal.

Cut backyard hose, but took time to stop and repaired it. No other complaints, they were very polite.

It went fine. I had no problems scheduling even though it was a busy time, and they were available to come before they originally thought they could. They sent a crew of 2-3 and they were here for about two hours. The yard was a mess and after they were done it looked fine. They were very professional and polite. I was satisfied.

We needed our flower beds cleaned up, overgrown weeds around the house and edging done. They showed up on time, asked what I wanted done and got right to work. I couldn't believe they were able to accomplish the entire clean-up in an hour, but they did. They even went above and beyond what I asked and edged around our storm shelter, propane tank, and two10 ' wide water tanks we used for vegetable gardens. They did a very good job and were such nice conscientious young adults. I will ask them back in the spring to help me do some landscaping.

I asked them to dispose of all the leaves in the yards and beds around the house. They did a fantastic job very efficiently and did not charge me for hauling extra debris away. It's also a plus that the owner communicates and schedules through texts, as I'm not always available to take phone calls.

They did a great job on trimming my bushes -- especially one that is over 7 feet tall and very large. They removed the dead morning glories that covered the much of the front portion of my house landscape making the area look a 100% better. They laid out at least a dozen bags of mulch. They laid the mulch over all my bushes as well as around the base of one of my trees. They cleaned up a year's worth of suckers that have grown up under the low lying branches of my ornamental cherry tree. I am very pleased with their work and look forward to using them again in the spring when I need new annuals planted.

Adam contacted me shortly after I purchased the "Big Deal". I was out of town at the time, so we made arrangements to schedule the service when I returned the following week. He contacted me as the following week and we scheduled the service for 11:00 AM on 10 Dec 2014; Adam indicated that he would call me about an hour before he arrived to make sure that I was at home (which he did). On the morning the work was scheduled, Adam and his crew of three other workers arrived at the arranged time. I described the work that I was requesting; basically the general clean-up of a corner residential lot that had been largely neglected (other than mowing) for almost three years...removal of accumulated leaves, cleaning of badly deteriorated beds and trimming of wildly overgrown shrubs. I asked that he concentrate first of the front yard...I wanted the property to be somewhat presentable. He explained that the "Big Deal" I had purchased included four man-hours of labor for $99 and that additional hours would be charged at a rate of $25 per hour (which had been clearly stated in the package); he felt that with his crew of four it would take about an hour to address all of the issues in the front yard (which were substantial). After over an hour of industrious work, Adam came to the door and advised that they were finished with the front yard (which looked great), and that if I wanted them to continue in the back yard, there would be an additional charge of $100-$125. I had no problem with this; as I mentioned, my property was in a state of serious neglect, and the Eco crew was doing very good work at a more than fair price. I agreed to his terms; they took a brief break to haul away the debris from the front yard and then returned to start on the back. After working for more than an hour more, Adam presented with an invoice for $100 labor plus $25 haulage, which I gladly paid (this was in addition to the $99 I had initially paid for the "Big Deal", but was completely in accordance with the additional labor pricing cited in the deal). Adam then departed for another job, but left a couple of his crew to finish the work and clean up. I actually suspect that I may have gotten more than the eight total man-hours of labor that I paid for. All in all, I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Eco Landscaping. Even though I ended up paying for more than the four man-hours included in the original "Big Deal", there's no question in my mind that I got good value and excellent performance. The simple fact is that the work required for my property vastly exceeded the hours included in the deal, and Adam was flexible enough to modify the package to allow me to get all of the work I needed done (at a more-than-fair price). His communication was excellent throughout the process, he and his crew showed up as scheduled and accomplished the work in a timely fashion, and the quality of the work was superb. Eco Landscaping is a competent, courteous, professionally-run operation and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I could not be more pleased! Adam really listened to and addressed my concerns & frustrations with my existing landscape. Our lives had evolved quite a bit since originally purchasing the home 13 years ago. Our time and energy and interest levels had changed dramatically and the outside had really suffered. It was showing and I hated being the worst looking home on the block. Adam measured and drew our flowerbeds and gave me an actual blueprint of what he would plant. He gave me the list of the plant names, I looked most of them up, gave my approval and off we went. He salvaged and pruned what he could, and took great care to purchase the best quality plants while staying within a general budget. He didn't "send a crew" to do the work. He and his crew did all of the work. Some of the plants weren't in when we did the original planting. He showed back up within a week or so to finish the rest of the planting. I didn't have to call or cajole him into coming back and finishing. He was very conscientious about pricing and refunding/adjusting the bill (when necessary). He also came back to fix some sprinkler heads, reconnected a pot-watering system that had been in disrepair for as long as I can remember and gave me some advice on a couple of other issues in the yard. I am planning to have him come back a couple of times a year to help with maintenance and planting a few annuals. And I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for landscape design and installation. I am very excited to see what everything looks like once we have a full growing season. It was money well spent.

Adam is excellent to work with! He always returned my phone calls and was super reliable. He now does maintenance on my residence as well! He had great suggestions to improve the project as well.

Provider was booked too far out to be available for my project. General phone estimate seemed high It took 4-5 days to respond to my initial phone inquiry.

We have used them for several years and because we are so happy, my husband went and put a review on them. The job went well. They are friendly, can do a lot of different thing not just cutting the grass, they call and said they will come, they will be there.

He was extremely accommodating to my schedule and was able to finish the work on time despite the short notice and the cold weather. Adam and his crew also cleaned up very nicely afterwards. I am very happy with the work and really love my backyard. Adam is very professional and responsive and I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.

Prompt clear estimate. Work done very well and on time. He asked for material costs up front (about half of job cost), but I agreed to give a 30% deposit based on his excellent Angies List reviews. Usually I would balk at paying before the work was done. He even replaced a broken sprinkler head at no charge, and helped me reprogram my sprinkler. I will use him again!

Adam Sarmiento and his team have been wonderful to work with. They have done an outstanding job creating a gorgeous garden in the front of our house. The garden has low maintenance native grasses, cacti, and flowers. We get a lot of compliments on it! They have also put in and maintained a vegetable garden for us. Adam and company are also very reliable and can do a wide range of yard jobs--pretty much anything that needs to be done. They even took down an old fence for us! We are extremely happy with their work and give them the highest recommendation.

Their work is always excellent and reasonably priced. They are also not intrusive and get the job done efficiently. While there is some turn over in the crew, every person I have met on the crew is polite, friendly and good. It is also a plus that no one decides to take a smoke break or anything like that. They come, get the job done and leave. In addition, Adam is very knowledgeable about plants and gardening. He also practices green gardening which suits us very well -- he won't use toxic pesticides or other nasty chemicals. A lot of work is done old school style by getting down on their hand and knees. He is also good at landscape design -- when I was choosing plants for my flower garden he had many good suggestions in terms of the availability of light, the varying height of the plants and their effect on each other competing for light and resources, and the overall look in terms of color and foliage. Highly recommended.

They did an excellent job! They are nice, friendly, easy to get a hold of and did exactly what they said they would do! It was a superior job, I can't say enough about them, they were good guys.
