Custom Contractors

Gave Custom Contractors photos of the kitchen I wanted. NONE of the cabinets they brought over are anything like the cabinets in my photos. They changed cabinet sizes, drawer sizes, heights of cabinets, widths..... It is a mess. They made several promises that they would stick with project until I was satisfied. They are dishonest. This project was suppose to be a 2 week duration, it has been 2 months now and my kitchen is still unusable. They tore out my kitchen cabinets then told me they had to trim another house and that it would be 1 week before they could get back--it was 2 weeks. This company comes over, does some work, then leaves me for long periods of time without any communication. My calls and e-mails are not answered. I spent 6 months drawing on graph paper the kitchen in this house. This is the 3rd kitchen I have remodeling in my lifetime. I am very exact in my measurements. Gave them a photo of a spice rack cabinet I wanted with dimensions included. ( 4 " x 30") They built one 11" x 43. (?) The cabinet went all the way to the ceiling. How would I access that? Plus the added width would not fit in space provided. They build a buffet cabinet 3 inches too long for the wall and 11 inches too short in height. Once again I had pictures meticulously drawn showing dimensions needed. They built a refrigerator cabinet 6 inches less in depth than asked for. The north wall cabinets are not installed square to the room. The angle of projection is obvious when compared to the tile on the floor or with a laser light sight. This angle is VERY noticable to the eye without even a ruler. Asked for dovetailed drawers, received nailed and glued drawers. They changed the height and width of the drawers without consulting me. They did sloppy work, not all drawers work correctly. They had no reguard to my requests. When I asked for a remake of cabinets, they simply gave me another bill. Absurd, I paid for the correct cabinet the first time!!! They made promises of being able to do any electrical or drywall work needed. Didn't happen. I was given a name of one of their friends saying I would have to pay them separate. PLUS, they stoled my roofing hammer!!! I have had to hire another company to fix the mess they left and finish the project. My costs have doubled now. I have had 3 different contractors shake their head when I show them my kitchen. Custom Contractors (Joel Holland) are inexperienced and unscrupulous. They don't know what they are doing or how to do it even with pictures in front of them. These people should not be allowed in your homes. They come across as confident and qualified cabinet builders, but in reality they are not.
