They told us it would be better to replace entire roof at one time, and so we paid an additional 10,000 over what insurance covered. They wrecked my flower beds, cracked existing landscaping pottery, shingles even in water features, one of which they broke and never replaced any of it. Inside, they wouldn't show up for several days after beginning something. I was at home daily while living in a Residence Inn until all of it was done. I wanted to be sure they showed up and did work, and my studio is attached to home so I could work on premises too. They gutted top floor and there was damage to Master bedroom from additional leakage too, so they were downstairs too. They put a lockbox on home and were supposed to be responsible for locking up if I was not present. They had different workers coming and going. Many quit, many were recovering addicts of one sort or another. Did Sheetrock wrong three times in several rooms. Forgot to put insulation in outside walls and had to re-do a last time. We left our cats at residence because they stayed downstairs and had their own safe spots there, and I was there to care for them. We didn't want to board them and further disturb their stress level during project. I could go on and on with a litany of horrors. To make it all a concise review, we had people hired to watch house in addition to lockbox on home. We had to attend an overseas conference for 10 days. During that time our house sitter called to say she came to feed cats and check, door in back was wide open and we had been robbed under their watch! They left back open. Then they didn't want to accept responsibility and insurance said we would have to file a separate claim because of them! They topped it all off by scaring the h*** out of our 2 cats. One was so freaked she would hide and just shake. Then we couldn't find her and I searched all the closets and places they were supposed to keep closed so she wouldn't GET LOCKED IN any of them. We couldn't find her! On final inspection before moving back home after 8 months...there appeared to still be a leak above bed in master bedroom. A plumber came and opened the ceiling....they found our cat, DEAD, and according to my Vet ( who did a postmortem) she suffered a terrible death. And enclosed between floors. It had to be deliberate because there was no possible entry way to get in. I was still recovering from chemo and radiation therapy at time, and didn't sue, but we should have. Stay away from any business that claims they are good "Christian" businessmen!! I understand they work with several Insurance Companies. If you are assigned to use them...run!

I would not recommend them. I wasn't happy with their work at all. They subcontracted with different groups. They didn't have any control over the quality because they subcontracted it all out. The plumbing, siding and roof were poor. I had my insurance agent check and he didn’t see the same issues but now things are starting to degrade. The carpeting was cheap and the quality of the cabinets was not what I originally had. It was just cheap construction and they were not timely. They didn't put molding around the edges of the floors. I can see holes where the foundation doesn't meet so I am subject to bugs getting in.

Covenant Building Company was excellent. I can't say anything but good about them. They had a great personality, knew what they were doing. I am an older lady and they were kind and polite to me about anything. I would recommend their services to anyone.
