Description of Work: As they always have, Robbins was extremely prompt in responding to my request for an estimate on a roof leak. I have used them many times in the past, and they have always provided prompt, professional service with immaculate cleanup afterward. On this occasion, I chose to go with a different company who gave me a slightly lower quote. I will no doubt use Robbins again in the future.

+ -1 moreThey always treated us fairly. They had to come back because we had some damages. Their work ethic was good. It was a fairly new product at that time which was 3 or 4 years ago. We had some problems with the installation. The company sent representatives down but they had to do it twice and they did. It was a new product and some of our problems that we encountered were not their fault. They thought the young guy that was trained and went to school to learn how to apply this material knew what he was doing and according to the manufacturer, he didn't. They stood behind it and fixed. They always came whenever I would call with a problem. We've had three problems and if they didn't get it right this time, I would look for somebody else in the future.
Description of Work: They replaced our flat roof on our home. They put on a new seamless Duralast roof.

+ -1 moreFirst impressions are not always an indication of how things will go with a contractor, but I must say from beginning to end, I was impressed and satisifed with Robbins Services. The sales representative, Sean D., was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly - always available to answer any questions or concerns. He always answered his phone, or promptly returned my calls throughout the project. Since many homes in our neighborhood had roofs replaced as a result of recent storms, and since I am retired and able to observe several other roofing contractors working in the neighberhood, I am able to see the difference in how things are done. This really convinced me that we made the right choice when we decided to use Robbins. The crew that worked on our house respected our property, did a good job and cleaned up their mess. They were prompt, polite and you could tell that they knew their business (not their first rodeo). I am not easily pleased, but I can truthfully say, that, I'm very satisfied and would'nt hesitate to recommend Robbins for a roofing project.

+ -1 moreDid a great job with the actual work and was ontime etc. The first 2 appointments to get someone to come out took some additional follow up from me but that may have been due to the large volume of damaged roofs they had. They had a gutter guy that took care of the gutters with little/no effort on my part, overall I would use them again as I trust the work they do. Note: They did catch 2 smaller items the insurance guy missed and was sure to get them added, they also took care of my deductible.

+ 0 moreThey had done the roof previously the year before and then we had a bad hail storm and they had to come back the next year and do it again. I was happy with their service. I like the way the roof looks. They came back for a couple of things I found. The first time there were a lot of nails in the yard and the guy came back with his little machine and took care of all of that. It was great. I called several different ones and their pricing was good.
Description of Work: I used Robbins Roofing to put on a new roof and gutters. They ripped off the old roof and gutters and replaced them.

Description of Work: We had to have our roof redone because of the storms and things by Robbins Roofing Inc in spring. We also had them put up new gutters for us after the hailstorm.

Description of Work: We had severe storms that caused our roof to be in need of replacement. We added guttering as well. I will address the guttering Installation first. It was done when scheduled. The guttering was installed in an acceptable manner with the exception of what I can only call short cuts in making the spouts in our front planter stick straight out right in the middle of the planter in an obvious manner. If the installer could have taken the time to simply install that down spout more closely to the wall of the house by adding a small amount of additional guttering, it would have been much more acceptable. Regarding the roof installation, the roof was installed when scheduled and the quality of roofing material was good, however there was a doorway that no longer shut after the roofing was completed. The one door became dislodged and the frame dropped 1/4" on one side and would no longer latch. In addition, one room had experienced water damage to the wall and ceiling during the storm. Once the roof was replaced, we paid $250 for the room to be repainted at our own expense, only to have the spots show up again a few weeks later when it rained. This was especially frustrating because my husband had specifically pointed out that there were leaks occuring around the dormers and the crew should pay attention to the area - during the roofing job the Forman had stated "they would be sure to take care of it." After the leak became evident, we called Robbins to come back out and they were not responsive. My husband left at least two messages then called and left a message for the owner. No calls were returned. We were forced to mail a letter stipulating our concerns, at which time the owner finally called. A team was sent out to inspect the roof, finding that the dormers had not been sealed during the roofing process, causing the water seepage. They were unapologetic about the sealing problem in addition to refusing any responsibilty for the door and latching problem. When someone was sent out to seal the dormers, they stated we needed to wait until it rained to determine if the seal was sufficient. No repainting of the damaged ceiling was completed at that time. We were left to call them AGAIN to resolve the celing being repainted. No one offered to check back with us and schedule the repainting - it was our responsibility to reach out to them again to resolve their mistake. We have yet to have the paint repaired. In addition to the above, during negotiations for pricing, we were verbally advised that the cost of flashing for the chimney would be replaced even if it was undamaged. The representative indicated we would not be charged for this cost if the insurance did not reimburse for it. When insurance denied that part of the claim, we were told by Robbins that our contract stated we were to be charged for the flashing, leaving us paying close to $600 more than we expected. Overall, this job was poorly managed and the level of customer care was nearly non-existent. We were very disappointed in the overall experience. UPDATE: After the Angie's list posting above, Robbins responded to our concerns and sent a roofing team out to review the concerns regarding leaks and paint damage. The dormers appeared to have nails that had worked themselves loose. That was repaired, but it did not resolve the problem. Robbins came out again and resealed both dormers. We waited for another storm to occur and the seal was fixed - no more leaks. A painter was sent out and did an excellent job matching the interior paint, fixing the drywall damage and setting things right. We have had no additional problems for the past two months, and there have been some significant storms. I feel that Robbins did ultimately make things right and give them credit for responding and coming back to make the repairs until we were satisfied.

+ -1 moreWe signed a contract for the roof in June and they replaced it in November. They were booked up to that point. They told me since I have a flat roof it went to their commercial side instead of the residential. We have a story and a half. As far as the flat roof work went, they put a Dura-Last roof on and that was great. We are still dealing with them because of the shingles. I have a mansard roof which means that it is flat on top and it angles out, the angle part has shingles on it and I still have to call them to come out and finish fixing the shingles that keep falling off the side. My last call was three weeks ago and I still have not seen anyone. They sound very nice on the phone but they have not come to fix it. This would be the third time that they would be coming out to do it. They respond to me when I call, it is just getting an actual crew out here. They are not responsive as far as the work goes. I would balance that against what they did on putting the Dura-Last roof on. The price was acceptable - we had another bid and it was $25,000. I would not consider using them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Robbins Roofing & Construction to put a Dura-Last flat roof on and to fix the shingles as well.

Description of Work: Estimate for roof replacement about $1,500.00 more than the competitor I chose. Even wanted to levy a "steep charge." The only one out of six contractors to do this. Offered the least amount of additional service. All other roofers offered a five year workmanship warranty. Robbins only offered a two year warranty.

+ -1 moreEverything went well until after the job was complete. I paid him from my own funds so he wouldn't have to wait on the insurance check to go to my mortgage co., etc. edtc. Later there was a bad tear discovered by an insurance adjuster that the roofers had tried to repair with tar instead of a new shingle. I called him and told him pof the problem. I also sent him photos of the damage as he requested. He stated he was out of town working but would be back in a few days and would contact me to set a time he could come and inspect the problem personally. Since then I have not heard from him nor have I been able to reach him at his listed number. I get a recording that says this number is unreachable. It has been a monthe now with no contact with him. I have to assume he has left the area, went out of business, changed his nuumber or something.

Description of Work: I used Robbins about 9 years ago to put on a new roof. For the last nine years, they have been out to the house on at least 6 occasions to check on items I was worried about. Never charge me a dime--just said remember us next time you need a roof. Roof was excellent quality--hail storm hit area three years ago--the two roofs by Robbins only ones that survived. Put house on market--had three other roofers evaluate the house--they all said my previous roofer "did me right". Recent ahil storm finally totaled roof. Called Robbins--out that day. They were so busy, the owner came out and took care of inspection. working with insurance company. They are able to do guttering, windows, paint, as well as roofs. My house is just about done--earlier than most--mainly becasue Robbins got on it quick. Very professional and polite--they also clean up after themselves. If you need a roofer--this is the company you want to do the job. Local office off NW highway. Excellent customer service even AFTER the roof is replace.
