LIMKE HEATING & AIR

Now that my father has moved in with us, we started the process of building him his own space - a one-room suite with a bathroom. The small space was a perfect candidate for a dual-headed ductless system, but when Mike Limke gave us a quote for a small, traditional system by Ruud, we chose to go with his recommendation. Mike and Kelsyn arrived on time (the day after Christmas) and got the entire installation done in less than a day. This was not a retro-fit or replacement, so they had to place supply and return lines, build the plenum, install freon lines and outdoor compressor. I don't normally brag about infrastructure elements, but take a look at the outdoor compressor installation and you'll get an idea of the quality of their work: The pad is level and placed away from windows, the freon lines are straight along the outside of the house, everything is accessible. The air handler is in the attic away from noise sensitive areas and all ductwork is short and fully sealed. I know these things are expected, but it doesn't always happen that way. Aside from their professionalism, Mike and Kelsyn were very friendly and instructive. Mike specifically chose a return air grill that is the same size as my other AC system filters so I won't have to worry about keeping different filters on hand. He even helped me identify the information for the warranty registration and even reminded me about it. They will be back once the suite construction is completed to make sure everything works and that we are satisfied. Getting an entire HVAC system installed in an existing home is not a normal event for most folks. Mike and Kelsyn are great guys to work with and will help you through the process. I highly recommend them if you need a replacement or new installation of Heat and Air systems.

Must admit up front that I am a little, eh, demanding. Old unit died in the middle of a cold snap. Mr. Limke was the third HVAC specialist to provide an estimate. His was the lowest but mostly because he pointed out numerous unnecessary costs. The other quotes included lists of and quot;necessitiesand quot; that didn't seem to match up with each other. He didn't do any of the head-shaking and and quot;ooh, that's badand quot; that I got from bigger suppliers, and the quote was almost $3k below the big guys'. Weather caused problems getting the unit installed (I didn't expect anyone to haul furnaces up stairs in the ice and snow). When it was safe to work again, Mr Limke got rid of the old units, installed the new ones, added new intakes that are unnoticeable and easy, all within two days. Mr Limke insisted I live with the new system for a week before he came back to check that I was happy with the set up. He made a few changes without any fuss and noticed things I didn't. In the end, Limke Heat and Air... -cleaned up completely -hauled all the old equipment away -worked within the budget -got the equipment quickly -was prompt and clear with communication, kept me informed -didn't damage anything -worked within the existing fixtures of the home wherever possible -chose unnoticeable locations or clever hiding places for new intake duct work I'm very happy with the work. The system is fantastic. Mr Limke did exactly what he said he would do and had a real and quot;can doand quot; attitude. Mr Limke runs a small operation that is definitely worth a quote if you're in the greater OKC area.
