BEWARE OF ROBERT CHERRY !!!!! He was great at first. Took him a number of days. Demo was done. Rebuilt new doorway and installed pocket door. Drywall work was mediocre. Finnish trim work was horrendous. He used drywall and tape instead of wood to make door jamb. Covered every gap and unnecessary surfaces with tub and tile caulk. He said he would come back and redo the door jamb. After two months and numerous texts and calls, he never came back. Now I'm out $1470 and have to pay a real contractor upwards of $900 to fix what he did. He's a con artist.
Description of Work: Put in pocket door. Included removing current wall, moving doorway and installing pocket door. Moving light switches and installing ventilation.

Robert is a nice, personable young man, but…. took my money and ran. He over promised, overpriced, under performed, and in my opinion, his work reflects woeful incompetence. Late, late, late. Excuse, excuse, excuse. Tile work was shoddy, grout lines uneven, used chipped tiles. Pictures available below. "Fortunately," he used incorrect adhesive for the tile. Because it had not set or cured even after four days, we were able to pull the tile off without tools, clean them, and salvaged most of the tile. When he did show up, worked 2-4 hours a day; would go out for “materials” and not return. Finally abandoned the jobsite completely on September 7, leaving some tools behind. Have not heard a word from him since then. He intended to cover up a small mold-covered 2x4 with sheetrock until we demanded it be removed and replaced. Left demolition debris in front yard, did not remove. Homeowner had to haul it off at additional expense. Brought girlfriend to work site to “observe” but was major distraction. Thought this was very unprofessional. Could not discern a logical work plan. Installed new light fixtures and partial flooring before painting and sheetrock was completed, resulting in paint smears on floor and fixtures. Cut flooring too short, did not remove trim, much less extend flooring under sheetrock wall to sill plate. I had high hopes, but now must determine how to recoup my losses.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel, including remove and replace tub, tile surround, vanity, and flooring.
