CARPET WAREHOUSE

.We purchased carpet from Carpet Warehouse in Muskogee on November 4th, 2015. The owner made it a point to tell us when we were there shopping, that "all" the carpet he sells is number one quality carpet. We thought he was friendly and we had no reason to not believe what he was saying. He said the reason he could offer "good deals" on carpeting, is because he buys semi-trailers full at a time, and therefore receives a" huge" discount. Unfortunately,.... as soon as we arrived home with the carpet, my husband noticed a 2 to 3 foot slash/cut on the BACK SIDE of the carpet. We were horrified, and called the store immediately. Thinking they would say to return and they would make it right? However, this was not the case.The owner said, " All the carpeting that I sell is seconds, not new number one carpet,.I sell thirty dollar carpet for ten dollars, what do you expect?.. you own it, and we are not doing anything"!.....( then he hung up). We were so very disappointed because we thought we were purchasing quality carpeting and were heartbroken that we were lied to. My husband is a supervisor at a large manufacturing company in Muskogee and so we know a great number of people. After mentioning this ordeal to others, we have had so many people tell us the same type of problem happened to them. Some of them had carpet that was faded all the way down one side for about 6 inches out from the wall the entire length of their wall. Others had the same problem with the carpet being cut, even entirely through! Someone else told us that the backing came apart from the carpeting and when they vacuumed, it would just suck the carpet off and into the vacuum.The store is family run, which appealed to us. However, we realized after thinking about it, they cut and rolled the carpet (Not while we were present and could see it, but when one family member had us paying, the other family members cut and rolled the carpet ) Therefore, preventing us from noticing that the carpet was defective! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I hope if you go to Carpet Warehouse for carpeting, you realize you are taking a gamble that your carpet is usable once you drive away with it! They certainly deceived us! Please be careful and inspect it as they are cutting it and rolling it for you,...unless you are paying (YIKES) and it is already rolled and loaded when you see it / : ..So relieved that we only purchased for one bedroom and NOT the entire house ( :
