Pleasant Pools and Spas

I've been using Poolwerx since December of 2022. They've done an outstanding job with repairs to my filter and pipes, water balancing, and bi-weekly cleaning. My pool is open all year. Thanks to Poolwerx, it is always crystal clear and clean. I can't say enough good things about them.

The very best service in town!!!!

I felt completely taken advantage of. They had charged me for extra time on their first pool cleaning and I watched them sit in my driveway for 30 minutes. The first pool cleaning bill was over 200$ since they also charge you for supplies. My Polaris wasn't gathering leaves, although moved around and had the propeller working. They said they could take a look at it and fix it within 2 weeks. 6 weeks later (and after weekly calls from me) they said it would cost $500 to replace an electrical component before they could actually determine what was wrong!!!!! I asked for it back immediately, took it apart myself and found there was a internal propeller stuck. Their customer service is appalling and they charge through the roof. I had a different pool service come out the day after they came and the pool chemicals were way off. I can't believe they are still in business. I plan to warn others of this dishonest company.

We bought our pool 3 years ago and that experience was outstanding. We chose Pleasant Pools not because they were the cheapest bid (they weren't) but because we liked the owner and had a good feeling about doing business with him after our consultations and design meetings. Boy did that gut feeling ever turn out to be right on target. The entire experience was very positive from beginning to end. They use a very high tech simulation program to show you a YouTube video of what your pool and spa will look like. We ended up with a rock waterfall and spillover spa but we changed things several times and they would just reprogram the simulation and let us see what it would look like. They were patient while we decided what we wanted. They even include the back of your house and the layout of your yard in the simulation. The final video looks "exactly" like what we ended up with. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything up to the point of our first swim but that was just the beginning of what will now be a long term relationship with Pleasant Pools. The service for the past three years has been outstanding and we go to the Mustang, OK store for our supplies. We had a pool pump go out the second summer and they had it replaced the next day under warranty and at no labor charge. But the crazy over the top service occurred this past week when the weather was dangerously cold. The temperatures were down in the single digits most of the week and wind chills near or below zero. We came home one evening and something had obviously gone wrong no doubt due to the extreme cold. The spa was only 2/3 full and was spewing frozen mist all over the deck. We were concerned about waiting until the morning to call fearing we might lose thousands in equipment. So we actually tried to call the company owner on his cell phone that we still had from when the pool was being built. He took our call and tried to help me troubleshoot several things to determine the problem. When it became obvious to him that there was an issue that was serious because of the cold and there was a risk of damaging equipment, he drove an hour from his home to our home in Mustang. Then in 14F weather with wind chills near zero he laid on the ground and drained each piece of our equipment to protect it from freezing damage. He also open check valves to get the water out of the pipes above ground to protect them. After he had everything drained and protected he assured us as soon as the temperatures rose above freezing he would have a crew back out to get everything hooked back up and running. I estimate he saved us in the neighborhood of $7k-$8k in lost equipment by driving an hour to our house late at night in horrible freezing conditions. Honestly, we were so grateful and stunned that the owner or a company with multiple locations across the State of Oklahoma with hundreds of employees would personally come and do something like this for us to save us from incurring this sort of expense. Who on earth does something like that? It is my opinion that just about any other company I could have used wouldn't have even answered the phone at 9:00pm on a night like that. I would have lost thousands in equipment and broken pipes and they would have just made more money selling us new equipment and charging us for digging up frozen pipes. I would add that the attitude of this company owner permeates down through his staff as well. We are Pleasant Pools customers for life and will never consider using another Pool company for service, supplies or any other pool need. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

I found them extremely competent and true to their word. There was no surprise. It was very pleasant. They tried everything to please me. It was a very pleasant experience. The price was as they said. It is confidential. It was a great job.

They installed our pool but installed the liner improperly. The liner wrinkled shortly after installation. The manufacture web site said that wrinkles are caused by improper installation. They charged me $23,000 for the pool which isn't uncommon. However, the concrete work cracked. Instead of replacing it they patched it. They told us if we didn't pay the rest of the bill they wouldn't finish the work. We felt that we didn't have any choice at the time and paid the remaining portion of the bill. Since then the pool has cracked more.

My Honest Review. Great Company, small issues..No Pool Company is perfect. I also had a Pleasant Pool installed late last summer/fall of 2011. It is Beautiful!! I am Very happy with the final product and we are enjoying our swim. Cracking in the deck was my issue. In fairness, the pour occurred in the hottest time. There were no expansion joints at one of the skimmers, so.... cracks occurred. The other skimmer has a severe crack that routed around the expansion joint. Yes, concrete cracks. Although, it cracked within two weeks of the pour. I wanted a base of crushed limestone instead of sand. (Never had concrete crack on limestone base.) They don't use it. They have said that they will repair the cracks sometime. I do believe them. May take awhile, but they will help you. Pleasant pools has never done me wrong. If it is urgent, they will also respond. You should supervise installation yourself if you have time. I have known this company since 1997.They helped me Greatly when I lived at another location with the painful Blue Haven Pool I had put in. Stay away from BH. Anyway, all said and done, they perform above and beyond. pleasant did a GREAT job and they continue to assist if I have problems. Constructive Criticism: 1. To save customer crack complaints in the future, use crushed limestone as your base for the deck. 2. Better Supervision. The entire Staff is Fantastic!! I highly recommend Pleasant Pools

It was an awful experience and I would NEVER use them again. The design is very nice. I love having a salt water pool. BUT, when they blew the gunite into the pool it was done incorrectly, the pool bottom wasn't level and we had requested, so they had to come back from Tulsa and do it again. No one from Pleasant was there to supervise so I had to supervise. The surface was not smooth to the touch as we had been told it would be - it was very rough. We were told just to keep brushing the sides. We were never given instructions on how to care for the pool. We were told all we had to do was add salt. Since we weren't familiar with salt water pools we relied upon this information. The sides and bottom became rougher and we had to threaten them with a lawsuit to get them to come out and acid wash the pool. We were then given written instructions on chemical care that we should have had from the beginning.

We would rate them high overall.

They did everything from digging the hole to installing the pool and spa. My overall experience with them was good. Their price was good.

The install was fine, then the trouble started.
