Nice guy, very responsive & hard worker. However, his itemized quote didn't match the actual work performed. Some materials on his quote were not purchased, therefore some of the work needed was not performed. When asked, he said he ran out of money. Cost was too high for work that was done.

It went great and I was very pleased with Mickeys Lawn service. Here is a man Melvin who really cares about his business and his customers. He was on time with his crew and got right to work. Melvin and his crew were very professional and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I am going to hire them again for not only lawn service but tree trimming as well.

The team under leadership of Mr. Mickey was impressive in its efficiency, organization, skill, and professionalism. With highest ethics, the crew arrived early, powered through the 93 degree heat, and amazed with the quantity of trips fit into the time. Everything arrived in excellent condition, and they went the extra mile in several ways. I will continue to use Mickey's lawn care for moves, mowing, hauling, and more. They have aced all the many jobs they have done for me.

Came out gave me a quote said he could do it the next morning came out with a crew of three picked up all the brush and hauled it off went smooth no problems.

Terrific service! We needed a quick haul job getting ready for an open house. Mel and his wife could not have been more professional, flexible and responsive. They came by and hauled the tree branches away at a very fair price. Definitely recommend Mel and his service.

We had called Mel Mickey out to our house to give an estimate. This estimate he gave us was for a little of $1200. We waited several months to call him back due to other obligations. Well when he came out this time he said that he need to see if there was going to be a price difference due to how long it had been. He now told us that it was going to be a little of $1600, and then he upped it to over $1800. When out at the house he discussed with my husband what they were going to do. My husband told him that he wanted out front and backyard leveled. He assured my husband that they were going to do such a wonderful job, and we were going to be so happy. He said that they did it all by hand, and would be done in one day. He told us where we needed to go in order to buy fertilizer to put on the yard after he was finished. He told us to drop his name in order to get better service and products. Well the day came for them to do the yard and they covered the front yard completely with dirt and seed. However, it still was not level. On the side of the house the dirt was not level it sloped. Then when you get to the back yard it was just different spots covered in dirt. Which he told us he was filling in the holes. This is not really leveling the yard. When I got home he explained to me that the were wore out and needed to finish the following day. However, wanted us to go ahead and pay him, because his guys needed wanted to be paid. Due to them not being finished we had to park in the road, because all of his dirt was in our driveway. The next day it was a little less than an hour and he was finished. He came to let me know that he was done, and when telling me he made sure to tell me to give him a great rating on Angie?s List. This is when the rain started here and basically our yard was washing out into the road. Well I called Mr. Mickey and asked him if he was going to come out to check on the yard and he told me no. He said that he didn?t ever check up on his clients unless they call him and ask him to. I was expressing my concerns with everything and it included the following?yard wasn?t leveled, our dirt was running into the street, and there were cigarette butts throughout our yard. His response was he told us how he was going to level the yard. He cannot control Mother Nature and since we didn?t have a French drain this was our fault it was running off. I told him he did not tell us that we needed one, and he said it was because we didn?t ask for his ?professional opinion.? I said I am sorry aren?t you the ?professional? why would you not give us you opinion. We hired you for your services. This is when he starts trying to talk over me. Then when it came to the cigarettes he said I guess I can come pick them up. I said why would you let your guys even throw them in our yard. He yelled at me telling me ?I said I would come and pick them up!? I told him that we were also looking at our first estimate and he charged us a lot me then first discussed. I also told him that we had never signed a contract with him and he yelled why would we need a contract. I said to have the work in writing. It was also discussed that I am the only person to complain that he took to long. My problem wasn?t so much that he took to long, it was that he was asking to be paid before the job was finished. I told him that he really got over on us, and basically we could have done exactly what they had done. He started yelling at me and telling me that if I send him my address he would come and discuss what else could be done, but it was going to cost more. He was not going to fix anything without charging. I told him I would discuss with my husband and tell him what day would be good. He said he would decide if that day would be good. I said so now we are going to be like this and you are just going to go back and forth with this. He yells at me telling that he is no longer going to discuss this with me, and he would only talk to my husband. I then hung up. To this day we have not contacted him, and he never checked up on this issue. I would NOT recommend this guy to anyone. He is only out to steal your money. Also, back to dropping his name to pick up fertilized. Well I did that, and the gentleman (owner of the store) at the store tells me he doesn?t know who he is, and he doesn?t know why he would tell us to use a certain product. So this was the HORRIBLE experience we received from Mel Mickey?s Lawn Care!!

I needed this done quickly. Great job on getting job done same day as requested. Very kind. Very caring. Good communicators.

Mel Mickey was on site early to meet me. After review of the property, he set a price but out of my range. He reduced it in recognition of continuing future work. The job of lawn care Mel Mickey did surpassed anything that had ever been done before. Mel and his team are true professionals in landscaping services, and I would recommend Mickey's Lawn Care to anybody.

Mel and his two man crew did an outstanding job: Starting with the initial meeting for the price quote, Mel was punctual and called each day once the work had begun to let us know when to expect he and his team.. They divided up the tasks to be done and each man performed his work professionally---they didn't just get a hedge clipper and begin to whack away on our very overgrown hedges and bushes. The crew had been working together for a number of years thus allowing Mel to move the job along in the most efficient way. He assigned a given task to his man with the most experience in that area. Another positive is that Mel and crew provided advice which kept my wife and I from making potentially bad decisions---eg. our hedges had grown very high blocking view from the front window. We wanted the hedge cut way back, which would have at worst killed the hedge or at best leaving it scraggly-looking .One of the crew told us that he didn't want to cut it so low---he was right, which saved us future problems. On completion of the job, everything we'd agreed on was done and done well. We'll definitely call Mel Mickey's if we need any sort of outside or lawn project done.

The service was provided quickly, and for the est. cost. Kind of a messy finish, but looks ok. Will see how the sod takes in the coming weeks. I think the cost was a little high for the amt of sod laid.

Very good job on everything, I will use them again.

Mickey and his crew cut my lawn, covered it heavily with fescue seeds, spread some really rich compost over the first layer of seeds and then spread a heavy layer of seeds on top. I began watering it immediately and with help from the rain, in less than two weeks I have a lawn that is unbelievable. I have grass in spots where I couldn't get it to grow before. I am truly amazed and very pleased with the results.

Job was done with excellence. Work was high quality, done with timeliness, courtesy, great communication, great ethics, and quickly. I will use the again. I could not be more pleased.

His work was excellent. He did exactly what we asked and results were better than expected. This was a big job and we were pleasantly surprised by how much better it looked. Price was reasonable for the work. We would definitely call him again.

Excellent. The provider came out the very day I called him to give me a quote. He is quick, skillful, knowledgeable, ethical, and great to work with.

Mel is a courteous and honest man, who does what he says he will do. Mel and his crew went over and above, clearing several very overgrown areas on my property, hauling branches to the curb and removing smaller trees. From our initial phone call, he detected a life and death situation (I expressed urgency on the call, but it wasn't quite at that point). He bypassed the estimate and came out with his truck/trailer and help based on a few photos I sent him. The initial quote he gave me was for just him and a truck. He came out the next day, even though we hadn't discussed the final price (he placing what he thought was a family emergency above all else). I wasn't able to pay the actual cost, and he came down $100. He was one of the most professional, hard working, HONEST individuals I have ever come across. To find someone in this industry with such high emotional intelligence is a plus. Moves and transitions can be fraught - and he sensed that. He responded within minutes to my phone call and was at my door in half a day to help us clear out our home. I gave his cards to both my parents and instructed them to call him for any support. He came with equipment that was more than what we needed. He probably didn't earn much with the job- given he had brought backup help- but we weren't pressured to pay his fixed costs. He worked with us to fit our initial budget, which was much appreciated. I will call him again without reservation. He is someone you want not only to clear out your house, but also to sit in that home and share a meal. Thank you Angie's List for this find.

It was difficult for them to grasp the concept I envisioned, so there was a difference in creative opinion. The end result was satisfactory, I guess, but it really wasn't what I was hoping for.

Mel was able to take my call and arrange to come by the house and provide an estimate. He sent me the information the next day and was able to schedule the work for the same week. He was able to provide a good service and worked for several hours to clean the front, back and sides of the house. I would recommend and would use again.

Have used Mickey's Lawn Care several times now. He has told me if I ever need anything done to call him and if he can't do it he most likely knows someone who can. Well I called him on Friday left him a message and he contacted me back same day then came over on Saturday morning at my convenience to give estimate. Came on Monday started the job then finished job early today. Very happy with outcome. I had fencing put in several years ago but didn't do this section since the neighbor had stockade fence up already but now that part of the fence was a pretty bad shape and need to be replaced. Glad to get this done so quickly, for a good price and I didn't even have to take off work to be here which is the best part of all.

Mickey, was on time, and worked his heart out. The trees were long over-due for cutting. They look fantastic now! What an excellent choice I made this time around. Will call him again in the spring.

We called for an estimate and he came out within 24 hours and provided a prompt estimate. He then was able to start and complete the work that week. He was punctual and efficient. I left for work with a mess of a front and side flower bed and came home to a very nice looking yard. The trees were trimmed and are looking great as well. He was great to work with, A+.
