As usual - great response - immediate response - from Mel & Sherry. With the weather, tentative date for work to be done agreed upon and bid negotiated. Again as promised, showed up and worked very diligently to accomplish tasks - including working with me (stayed later) while I scrambled to get more pavers for the pathway as I had underestimated what would be required. Immensely satisfied with the end product and of course, will have them back as needed. Since one of the areas worked in included my cactus/succulent garden - kudos for dealing with needles/spines. Again, as always, although Pippa the Brittany pup has made it to her first year - she is still learning manners and they were very patient in dealing with her antics. Additionally, working on an acreage includes dealing with local fauna - including a gorgeous 5-6 foot bull snake sunning itself in the brush pile near where the concrete pile and shrub to be transplanted was located - Mel is not a big fan of particular reptiles - but managed just fine. Sherry and I thought he was a handsome specimen! Additionally, Mel found a black widow spider when working with rain barrel on SE corner - and LOTS of poison ivy on property as well. Yes, landscaping work is going to have some surprises - but I am still very happy that despite these little gems- Mel and Sherry come back for more. Work was completed over several days - essentially, these two completed in a short time what would have taken me alone several weeks. Very satisfied customer!

I have large flower beds in both the front and back yards. I had been unable to work them for the last couple of years and they had become overgrown with grass, weeds, and especially trees. The amount of work was also overwhelming. I called Mickey's and asked if they would provide me with an estimate to clean out the beds and get the trees out. We scheduled an appointment and Melvin and Sherri with there promptly at the time we set up. We walked the yard, and they recommended some steps to take to lower the maintenance since I would not be able to do as much work in the yard as I used to do. They were able to start just a few days after the walk-through, and they showed up as promised on the day they started. The only thing where Melvin was a little off was the time it would take to complete the job. And I believe that the amount of work required was deceiving. It was an absolute pleasure working with them. Sherri is a blessing and absolutely meticulous about their process and making sure things are done completely and neatly. The difference was amazing and my neighbors are as happy about the results as I am!

I called Mickey's Lawn Care due to customer reviews on Angie's List. Mel & his wife Sherry came out, gave us an estimate, we agreed on the date & price. Mickey's Lawn Care cleaned out all the flower beds, pruned all bushes and a couple of small trees front & back, cleaned up all the debris and mulched . I requested deep mulch in all the beds and around the trees, so about $400 was applied to the mulch. This was a big job and we are very pleased with the result. We have contracted with them to do our lawn this summer, and I will use them for all of our yard work in the future.

A+++ I called Mickey's Lawn Care LLC because of members reviews. I called Mickey's Lawn Care LLC on a Saturday morning. Mel said he could meet me in a hour to give me an estimate. He showed up on time and I proceeded to tell him what I needed. Mel crawled into the entangled trees to make sure he would cut the right trees. He did the job the day he said he would. Mel cleaned up all the tree limbs, trunk, bark and debris. He did everything! We didn't have to do anything more after he left. He is professional, detailed and trustworthy. I strongly urge you to use this company. Thank you Mel! I will spread the word about your excellent service. I will use you again!

He discussed the job with me over the phone, since I live out of town. He sent me a written detailed estimate and did all of the items on this list for the agreed on price.

He and his wife and other members of his team were hard workers and got the job done in a quick and efficient manner. Originally, the stump grinder he had did not work, but was prompt in returning the next day to finish the job. He and his wife were professional and very courteous. We would hire his company again.

Did an excellent job cleaning up all leaf debris. Could have been a bit more thorough cleaning leaves from V's on roof. Overall did an excellent job. I will be out of town and Mickey's will take care of my yard for the summer.

My experience with Mickey?s Lawn Care LLC went well. They came out when they said they would come. As a matter of fact, when they came out, Mickey remembered me from the last job, that?s always a plus. It took them about an hour to finish the job. I? never got done hauling before and I didn?t look around for bids so I don?t know if it was a good price. I had worked with Mickey?s before and he was really responsive so I went with him. The quality of their service is good. I will use them in the future. As a matter of fact I plan to do so in a couple of weeks.

They did a great job. Came when expected, worked till job was done. Made arrangements for some of the metal items to be recycled which was a bonus in my book. The house was also roach infested but they worked without complaint and were very thorough.

Mickey always answers calls promptly and shows up when he says he will. He and Sherry work quickly and efficiently. Mickey and Sherry's work ethic is admirable, as is the quality of their work. This is a hard-working, respectful and friendly Christian couple supporting a lovely family, literally by the sweat of their brows. We have recommended them to several other people and will use their services again.

They did a good job. They did everything above and beyond. The service, clean up and professionalism was good.

Weather resulted in a reschedule - no problem there though. As always, called to let me know when they were heading my way and were promptly here on time. This is the second time I have utilized their services. Knowing what fantastic service I received last time, it was pleasant to see that the second time would be a repeat performance. Went over last minute info and clarifications from the hubby and off to work they went. As I laid out the bulbs I needed planting, they managed to control bursts of laughter as Pippa our puppy ran off with the bulbs and was trying to bury them where she saw fit... Absolute beautiful day for working - but I found out that today was their anniversary and if that isn't dedication when one is self employed - one can choose to take a day off - BUT I honestly believe they understood a concern on my part of time being of the essence (we were going out of town and was hoping to complete prior to our departure) and I certainly appreciate this extra effort on their part. Wheelbarrow we have didn't cooperate (bad wheel) but adapted and overcame. Their attention to detail really makes a difference when it's all said and done. Quite happy and yes, of course, will be using their services again. Can't say enough - YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEL AND SHERRY.

PROFESSIONAL - all the way around. Polite. Courteous. Thoughtful. No lallygagging - simply put, hardworking, dedicated, honest - Mel and Sherry deliver INTEGRITY and restored my faith in subcontractor hires, which has been sorely lacking - that's why I signed up for Angie's List, and now I am two for two. They worked a total of 4 days (20 hours) bringing in help on 2 of the days; Victor on day one and Victor and Mike on day two. The last two days were Mel and Sherry - phenomenal what these two can accomplish in a day. Really brutal work to be done and they did a great job. All of this AND having to deal with our rambunctious Brittany Spaniel puppy, Pippa, who "supervised" while chasing grasshoppers and whatever else she could find. And they dealt with a few snakes. And a few hornets. And a few bees. We will have them back to tackle the areas overgrown with greenbriar and scrub brush. BUT most importantly, we have 98% of our property that is reachable for brush-hogging cleaned up. We would have been happy if we'd been able to access 80% for the amount of time we would have them here working. My husband had to keep reminding them this first pass over the property is a rough pass - just good enough to get the truck and tractor through the areas not bogged down by scrub brush and greenbriar - I told them it's a heckuva deal when you are critiqued for doing too good of a job - as it was difficult for Mel to leave it "quick and dirty" - he wanted it to look manicured and finished. We will get there though - after we have them come back and do 3-4 more passes. And we will most definitely have them back. And we will MOST DEFINITELY recommend this crew to anyone looking for their services. This is my second time using Angie's List to find a reputable sub - and WOW! Quite pleased. Could not ask for anything better. Nothing to improve upon. Fantastic. Fair price. Hard workers. Got the job done - beyond expectations. Happy and Satisfied Customer!!

I called Mickey's Lawn Care, LLC because they had good recommendations on Angie's List. I left a msg for them and they called back in just a few minutes and set a time for him to come over and give us a quote. We accepted the quote and a date was set for them to do the work. They had to postpone by one day due to other work, which was no problem. We had an appt at the time they were supposed to be here, but they went ahead and did the work plus more. Definitely went above and beyond what we asked them to do. I was so impressed, I asked them if they would do maintenance once a month to keep everything looking good. They were all very nice people, were very reasonable in price and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone needing any kind of lawn or landscaping care.

I called Mickey's Lawn Service for an estimate and they answered the phone in person. I did not have to leave a number for call-back. We arranged for an estimate appointment which was agreed upon but that appointment was missed. Mr. Mickey called to apologize and explain his situation and to ask for a second estimate appointment which I agreed to with some bit of hesitation, I must admit. However, on the second estimate appointment Mr Mickey left an estimate invoice and followed it up with a call to me at work and was careful to explain all that was needed in the job and after taking estimates from other companies, I decided to hire Mickey's. I chose the day for them to come out and he and his wife arrived close to the appointment time and set right to work. They worked straight through, despite the miserable humidity and baking heat of that day. The back yard was dotted with clutter that was virtually invisible due to the overgrown tall-weed condition of the yard and it needed brush-hog work, not just mowing. The Mickeys not only got that done in record time but mowed it PLUS my front yard within 3 hours! And, by the way, I had not asked them to mow the front lawn but they threw that in for FREE!

Was ready to hire him, but decided to ask my current lawn guys if they would agree to what Mr. Mickey was asking. They agreed, but if they hadn't I would definitely have hired Mr. Mickey.

Mr. Mickey and his wife are prompt, polite and amazingly efficient. Our lawn has never been mowed so quickly and it looks great.

Mickey's lawn care returned my first phone call within the hour. I asked for a free estimate and Mel came by the same afternoon. After discussing the project, we agreed on a price for the labor and mowing and dumping haul; I chose to purchase the plants and mulch myself and have them delivered and ready for the crew on the arranged day. He told me they could do the work in one day, which surprised me as it was a big job. On the arranged day Mel called in advance to let me know when they would be there and they arrived on time. He and his crew of two others completed the entire job that day as promised working straight through. When they arrived, I had more plants than I had indicated at the time of my estimate, but we discussed it and agreed on an adjusted price. Mel was honest and fair. He and crew were professional and polite and worked very hard. I wanted certain shrubs moved from one section of the flower bed to another and they accommodated everything I asked them to do, unless a certain plant could not be replanted after being dug up. They made some good suggestions which I appreciated. I had many large hedges which needed to be seriously cut back and everything was done as I asked. Because I was at home he consulted with me for each section of the work. The lawn was mowed and professionally edged. I am very happy with the new neat look of our landscaping, it is 100% improved, and I would definitely recommend Mickey's lawn care and service to others. They were hard working, quick and professional.

They arrived same day I called to give us an eval/est. We received a written est. for service with labor and materials. That was on a Thurs and they were here on Monday morning and got it all done in 2 hours. They are very dependable and are very hard workers. They get in there and get it done and the price was what they gave us on est. I would highly recommend them. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Mickey came to see the yard within an hour of the time we first made contact. Within 15 minutes, he provided a firm estimate. Two days later, I hired him, and 4 days later, the work was done. The place looks great! He did a particularly nice job trimming and sculpting the hedges. The whole job cost me exactly what Mr. Mickey originally estimated.

It went very well. I asked him for an estimate, on Monday, March 22, 2010, and he came within the hour. he provided me with a very fair estimate given the amount of work. He came by today and completed the job within two hours.

Owner visited and provided written quote, which turned out to be half or less than half of the quotes I solicited from two other vendors. Very responsive: he scheduled the work for the day after I called, arrived when he said he would and did the work quickly.

He was here for nearly 3 hrs. He worked really hard. But he got it finished and did an outstanding joy. I will use him again for any kind of landscaping or cleaning the drive.
