Description of Work: I recently purchased a home on the west side of Norman that had been sitting empty for about a year. Although the previous owners had done some very nice landscaping, areas of the back yard had gone unattanded, and were overgrown with trumpet vines and buried under a year's worth of sycamore leaves. After spending a day clearing all of that out from the garden beds, I realized that there was no way that I was going be able to get all of the waste into a form for city pickup. I called Mel late on a Sat afternoon and he promptly returned my call and scheduled a time to give me an estimate on Monday. The estimate was quite fair, and we scheduled the work for Tuesday.

Description of Work: There is a rather sizeable area behind my guest house/storage that had been neglected for years. It was completely overgrown with a forest of 6-7 ft. trees, weeds, and brush. Mel and Sherry, and their employee, completely removed everything from the area and covered this area with river rocks. It is now a private beautiful area with a chiminea (which was previously totally hidden in the trees) to sit and read, lay in a hammock, entertain, and perfect setting for pots of flowers and small shrubs. I have large landscaped beds with bushes and trees in the front yard. They were originally bordered with monkey grass. I had failed to thin the monkey grass over the years, so of course these large landscaping areas were carpeted with monkey grass. Mel and Sherry, and their employee, literally pulled all the monkey grass up by hand and cover these large areas with river rock around the trees and bushes. They added red paver stones around the red brick pathway to complete the border. I cannot adequately describe the difference this made. It is beyond my expectations!! They had river rocks left over so they offered to cover the side areas of the house and some areas in the backyard landscaping. This was a wonderful added bonus! They hauled off all of the brush and plant debris, and Mel treated the rock areas with a chemical he specifically orded to prohibit any plant growth through the rocks, leaving the left over chemical for me to use in the future!

Description of Work: The service included the removal of a large dead tree that was located under a power line. Also, needed to grind 2 stumps, clean up the fence line for overgrowth and haul off debris and clean up work area. This was a very large job.

Description of Work: Due to a wind storm, our 12 year old elm tree had fallen down. I called Mickey's lawn service on Monday for stump and tree removal. The next day he came by the house and gave me a quote. He completed the work the day after that. The stump and the entire tree were thoroughly removed.

Description of Work: Very courteous and efficient as the miscellaneous debris was removed. I had bagged leaves & branches, wood fencing, cut-up wood, an old stump and some concrete pavers. I would definitely use them again.
