He cancelled his appointment with me four times before he finally came to do the work. When he finally did come to my house, he was three hours late. The work was satisfactory, but I don't like to wait.

Friendly, courteous, punctual, hard working. However, we always needed more materials and naturally more money. We felt like the job had been deliberately underbid. We finally had to say enough is enough and call a halt to the work even though the job wasn't entirely completed. I was so sorry that things turned out the way they did because we really liked the people!

Excellent! Re-doing a huge yard. Second time I've called Mickey's. Called Mel on Tuesday AM, they went out to give a price Tuesday PM & cleaned up a huge pile of yard debris the next morning as promised. Each time they have done exactly what I have needed at a great price for their services.

I am very pleased with Mickey's lawn service and will use again. Mickey is very personable and conscientious. He even called the next day as a customer service follow up! Can't beat that!!

They did they work when they said they would, were through in one day and very reasonable in price for all of the work they put in.

Mel and co. did a job that exceeded my expectations as far as cleanup, clearout, and hauling. My landscape was an overgrown mess and when I got home the day of their service I was amazed at the difference. All the work mentioned above was done and done well. I only rated the quality down a notch because the trimming on the shrubs was a little rough. This does not mean to be a negative comment, rather constructive criticism so Mel can improve on that area of his company's work. Also, clarifying the comment, I can say that the trimming was not done to arborist-quality standards and some of the cuts are a little ragged, particularly on the rose bushes in the front. That said, given the state of the shrubs before he started work, I'm not surprised. Also, Mel knows that I don't intend to keep some of the other shrubs in my front bed, so it was not absolutely necessary to prune and trim them to perfection, rather to get them under control and still leave me with some shade in those beds until I have him come back and take them out later this year.The amount of work done for the money is pretty amazing, and worth every penny. I have before photos and as soon as it's not prohibitively hot outside I'll take the after photos and post them.

Mickey was responsive, thorough, and diligent--high level of professionallism and commitment to getting a good job done.

I called on July 6 for someone to come out and give me an estimate on having a tree removed. The owner himself came out on July 7. I had a 40' dead tree that needed removed. I felt his estimate was a fair price and agreed to contract with his company. He said someone would come out the following Saturday to cut down the tree, possibly sooner. On July 9 the owner called me to find out if it was okay for someone to come on the 10th and cut the tree down. They ended up showing up on the 9th and asked if it was okay to do it that day. I was okay with that. Two men showed up and were very professional. I was impressed with their skill and they did not let the tree hit my house, as the tree was growing within 10' of my home. They cut up the whole tree into pieces for easy removal.

It worked fine and great. They were easy to work with and were on time. I would recommend them.

After our spring yard cleanup we had accumulated a huge pile of yard, plant and tree debris including several pulled stumps. We asked Mickey's for an estimate. They came out, gave us a price and a few days later returned to remove the material. I thought their price for work done was outstanding- being able to turn this over to Mickey's totally eliminated the stress of how I was going to haul the load off myself.

We set up an appointment. However, they never showed up, so we didn't use them.

All went very well, If I had the extra money I would hire them again, and again, and again.

Everything went great.Arrived around 9am started job and done around 1or 2pm.Excellent worker. Would use again.

Another great bit of work by Mel Mickey. As usual, Mel was punctual in arriving to give me the quote and to do the work. He kept in contact when we needed to adjust the schedule, and did the work requested quickly, cleanly, and professionally. Highly recommended!

Very professional and personable. Mel made the time to give me an estimate because I was having a graduation party for my daughter. He managed to make the time to get the work done in a short period of time which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely use his services again.

I have used MIckey before and have been very satisfied about his work and prices. I had a redbud tree that was dead or dying and I wanted it moved. He gave me a good price for the work. I did want the stump ground up and he did not have a stump grinder. He said he could rent one to do the job but it would increase the price quite a bit. He told me about some other ways to dispose of the stump myself. I like this about Mickey. On both occassions that I had him do work for us he shared ways we could save money. I believe that he is looking out for the welfare of his customers. He did the work timely. Made a call when an agreed upon time didn't work out and rearranged the time. He did the work quickly and did an excellent job cleaning up the area. I was well satisfied with the work and would use him again when I had some landscape or general "clean up" work.

I called MIckey on Friday to check into having the front yard sodded. He made an appointment on that next day even though it was Saturday and came by to look at the job and gave pricing. He got the tree trimming set up the same day so that would not be an issue delaying the sod or causing any damage to the new sod if the tree trimming was scheduled later. He came the next week on Thursday to do the job and I am very pleased with the outcome at this point. Mickey was very easy to deal with in all aspects of this process. I really appreciate his honesty and consideration for the cost to the customer giving the different potential options of seeding versus sod and the different types of grass necessary for the area. I plan on having him come back in the fall to seed the back hard with fescue.

They came for the job and ensured to call me when they were going to be late.

Mickey's Lawn Care did a very good job removing a large amount of leaves from my yard. The quality of the work was good. I will use them again as needs arise.

No mess and a great clean mowing and edging job!

After getting no help from another landscaper, I called Mickey's Lawn Service. I have a Silver Maple in my front yard and grass would not grow under the tree. I also had a lot of soil errosion which left a big bald spot on one side of my lawn. Melvin came to my house and gave me an estimate. I wanted sod put down but he suggested seeding my lawn instead which was much cheaper. We set the date and he arrived on time and immediately went to work. He was very friendly and professional and is very knowledgeable about landscaping and taking care of lawns. After unloading and spreading the mulch, he seeded it really, really heavy. In all honesty I was not convinced that grass would take seed and grow. I watered it every other day for about a week and to my surprise after the first rain, the next morning I could see little sprigs of grass growing! The thing I really like about this young man is that he's honest, hard working and his price is fair. He also didn't just complete the work and move on. Even though he has other customers, he still keeps in contact and gives me pointers on how to keep my lawn growing and looking great. I will definitely be using him in the future for all of my lawn care needs!

My yard looks 1000 times better. The mulch used in my beds were an excellent choice. My flower beds were built and lined to keep the grass out. Melvin and his team did an excellent job. Melvin wanted to make me happy and listened to my requests. I recommend Mickey highly. I can now be in my yard and feel less stress about the work that was needed. They worked hard. Thank you!!!

Mickey returned my call same day and came out on Saturday to give a quote. Due to rain, the work was delayed by one day. Mickey called before arriving to let me know they were on their way. He and his helper (I negelcted to get his name) got right to work and worked steady to the afternoon. I was pleased with the whole experience. Mickey was professional, efficient and the price very reasonable. A lot of bang for the buck! He also hauled away some clutter I no longer needed gratis. I was very happy to have my jungle tamed!

I gave Mickey's a low score for not showing up to give estimate, I was in error. I did tell Mickey that I was in no hurry for the estimate, my apologies to Mickey and his company.
