Description of Work: He did not remove the 30 year old felt and left bare areas of wood showing on my roof. I saw the bare areas and confronted him but he stated he had used new felt. I contacted Owens Corning and a area manager came down and inspected my roof and we looked under the shingles and he agreed with me that new felt was not used and he could see bare areas of wood. Finally Grubb agreed to tear off the back half of my roof and redo it. And there was not new felt and there were huge holes in the old felt just as I had told him. I asked one of the workers when they were fixing the roof why they didn't put felt down and he told me; "we did just what the boss told us to do." He also told me that they had cut corners quite often at the bosses instructions. Buyer beware on this outfit!

Very fast service. I called on the 24th. I got the estimate that afternoon. The job was completed the very next day. Everything was done and turned out as I had hoped it would. I would recommend Grubb Service to my friends and will use them again. The 2 men that did the job were professional, friendly, efficient, informative & cleaned up after themselves. When my youngest came home from school, she had many questions. They were very friendly and patient. They let her know what they were doing and how they were doing it. Reassured her everything would be even more safe, sturdy & straight than before. Let her help decide if the bubble in the level was, in fact, level. I was very pleased!
Description of Work: The floor above my basement needed leveled and reinforced. The cost of the job was within the range I had figured. My TV is perfectly level now. 😊 The floor in the portion of my house above the basement was unlevel. The problem, for the most part, was along an interior wall. Also, the floor needed reinforced. Keeling suggested a metal extension beam, the steel beams were costly but worth it. His crew installed 6 of these beams under the house and did some other things to add support to the house.

Keeling was very punctual and thorough, explaining everything and itemizing what would be done in detail. He was not the lowest bidder but I really liked his professionalism and attention to detail. I am glad I did. It turned out there was more structual damage than originally estimated but they just went ahead and fixed it without asking for more money. They showed up on time and completed the job in one day and left everything clean - no sign of nails or debris. It rained (alot) a couple of days later and everything was good except around the skylights started leaking. They had given special attention to them because that was some of the worst leaks before. They came back the very next day and tested with a water hose and the problem was it was leaking through the skylight itself, not the roof seal around it. That is where it really gets amazing. They removed and disassembled the skylights, replaced the internal seals and coroded metal, then replaced them and reroofed and sealed. All at no additional charge. Grubb Services, Keeling and his crew really went beyond what I expected to make sure the job was done right. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Replaced a large section (14 sq) of roof that had started leaking. The shingles were not in bad condition but apparently the previous roofer (previous owner) did a poor job.

The contractor was Keeling Grubb. His price seemed a bit high, but he did a really good job. He was here when he said he would be, in fact he was early on both occasions. The crew he had working for him was very courteous, they were very punctual, and they were a super gang. I couldn't have asked for more. It cost $8000 for the house in Miami which had to be re-decked. It cost $15000 for this house because a lot of it had to be re-decked, and it's a big house with 48 by 45 foot rooms at the back. His price seemed high, but I am in finance, and everything I do is insurance related. Based on that, I would say his price is cheaper.
Description of Work: I had my roof redone by Grubb Services. I have used him twice over the winter, to do my other house in Miami, and this one also. He had to tear off the old roof and completely redo the roof on both the houses.
