Pace Heat & Air

I have never written a bad review in my life, but I have to do this one. I have to start by saying the HVAC guys are friendly, professional and they get the job done. The HVAC guys were just awesome! BUT!!!! The plumbers are absolutely worthless! In January of this year we bought a 100 year old home we are refurbishing. I called Pace to do some HVAC work and to run a water and gas line a few feet inside the house. Like I said the HVAC guys were just terrific. They came to my house a couple of times and each time accomplished what they came for. They were friendly and took the time to communicate with us regarding the work they did. The plumbers were nothing like the HVAC guys. The plumbers came to my house 8-10 times. (This was not a big job, mind you) Each time they came they would look around, talk to each other, maybe say a few words to us, then before I knew it I would hear their truck start up. I would look outside to see them drive away without so much as a word to anyone or doing ANY work at all. The day my contractor removed the entire kitchen floor I called the plumbers out (AGAIN) so that they would have easy access to the water and gas lines under the kitchen floor. Same thing happened. They showed up, looked around and without a word to anyone left without doing any work at all. My contractor was paying a crew and they had to keep working and install the new sub-floor ad flooring without the plumbing work getting done. They were forced to leave an opening in the wall in the pantry area so that if the plumbers ever did decide to DO THEIR JOB they would have access to the water and gas lines. I feel that I have been unfairly charged for "visits" from the plumbers where they actually didn't perform a lick of work. I have been seriously overcharged for the little work they did manage to accomplish on their last visit. I will never use this company again for plumbing issues.

We had them come out to look at our unit on two different occasions in a month’s time. The first time they told us they were able to replace two of the heating sensors and that the other two could not be fixed and that we would need to purchase a new unit soon. Not one month later our heat was out again. We called them the next morning and they came out in the afternoon. This time the gentleman told us they were able to replace the other two sensors (apparently the ones that couldn’t be replaced). He also told us that he had to unplug a part on the heater because it was creating too much voltage. That evening we got home from work and our heat still was not working (it was 56 in the house!). My husband switched the breaker off and back on and it gradually started to work. By 9:30 that evening our lights started to flicker and our electricity shut off in part of the house and then came back on. We stayed in a hotel that night. We went to talk to them the next morning. We spoke with the bookkeeper and asked that he not charge us for the services yesterday because it caused more trouble and we were having to get an electrician out to or house. He said he didn’t think that was possible, but that he was able to have someone come back out. Obviously there is no point in that since the issue is stil not fixed! We will be calling someone else and will never make the mistake of using Pace again.

I call to have them look at hot water tank on Friday. They came and worked on it and changed part. The tank worked long enough for them to close. Guess they no longer have 24 hour service which is why I started using them for our rental houses in the first place. I had to call and have another company go and change same part next day. I will never use them again or use their air and heat repair. I would NOT recommend them.

Left 2 messages for the Service Manager to call me. No Response. I spoke to office worker who stated she was too busy to speak with me. Taking my business elsewhere.

It has been multiple services because they were supposed to fix some stuff, but they didn't. They were a little expensive.

Pace completed install the next day as promised very professional job from start to finish. This was my second unit purchased from Pace. Pace has always provided me with top notch service at a competitive price.

Prom next day service. Pace personnel very professional no mess to clean up. Everything was installed the way I asked. I have used Pace before will. Us them in the future. I recommend Pace to anyone for their heat and air sales and service

McAlester Plumbing is also a part of Pace Heat and Air, which has always given us great service. The plumbing side is run by the elder Pace and my experience with them was horrible. I contacted them in late March 2011, to come check on my pool heater: within 24 hours their guys was on his way out! Some emergency diverted him, but I was promised a visit within the week. I kept on them for 3 weeks. I should explain that it is not easy to find a company that works on pool heaters, so they were pretty much my only choice. At the end of 3 weeks I was tired of waiting and asked to talk to the elder Pace, he did not apologize or even act empathetic, instead he asked me why I had not called someone else to do the work. This may not seem like a big deal, but the younger Paces are my neighbors. One can only imagine how other customers are treated. In the end my builder, did the work. I would use this information before I used McAlester Plumbing. Again, Pace Heat and Air at the same address has always had wonderful service, we have used them 10 times and never had to wait or had a mistake from them.
