+ -1 moreHe came 4 hours after he said he'd be there. He was alone when he said that he had a crew of 4 guys. He threw the bricks on the wrong side of the house in a pile. Told my 88 year old mother that he couldn't get his lawnmower into the back yard so he would have to cut it later. I think he must have turned a little earth with a shovel since Mom didn't see a tiller but I don't he put down any dirt because the yard is still low and uneven. Basically he did a couple of hours of unskilled work for $375. Now he doesn't return calls and since we discussed him cutting the grass ongoing, he knows that he did wrong no doubt. I would definitely not trust this clown at all.
Description of Work: This Michael Powell is a complete con artist. I should have known when he showed up to bid the job with his young child. He was supposed to get dirt to level a few spots in my Mom's yard, move some bricks and stack them in a particular spot on the side of the house, and cut the front and back yard. $375. He asked if I would pay him in cash and I foolishly agreed to do it. I toldhim that I would be working on the day that he came and that my mom would pay him when he was done but that she was 88 and wasn't really able to check his work but that we could work out any issues ongoing as I planned to have him cut her grass going forward.
