Description of Work: I needed laminate flooring in my new home, and I had already purchased the flooring...just needed it installed. I am familiar with this gentleman's work and I know he is a fine craftsman. He did do measurements, but spent the rest of the time telling me what a mistake I was making with laminate instead of real wood. I told him that I do understand the advantages of that, but it simply was not possible with my budget. I never received an estimate or was contacted at all. So I let Home Depot use their installers since I purchased the flooring from them. The approximate cost of service shown above is about what my end cost was for the flooring and installation,.

+ 1 moreMel is an older man with a solid work ethic. He worked steadily all day without complaint. Mel did the countertops and his assistant did the tile backsplash. His daughter runs the shop and helped my wife with choosing colors, etc. They are good people that do good work. I do recommend them and would use them in the future. The price tag was a little steep (in my opinion), but I have never had this type of work done before.
Description of Work: Mel Weatherly re-did our kitchen countertops and added a backsplash (ceramic tile) behind the sink faucet and cookstove. It looks fantastic!
