Description of Work: We had them put in a new air conditioning system. They did a very good job, we are very satisfied with their work and they stuck to the time line that they gave us and was on time. They have come back for their rechecks and I would hire them again in a minute.

Description of Work: They checked our heat and air system and replaced the thermastat. They are very professional, prompt, efficient and clean.

Description of Work: J & J Burk Mechanical Contrs checked the overall working condition of our air conditioning unit for home inspection.

Description of Work: I use J&J Burk to check my heater and A/C each season before I turn them on. The serviceman is always very professional and knowledgeable. He always gives me helpful information on how to get the most out of both of my systems, as they are both old and will be ready for replacement in the next five years. I will definitely work with this company when I replace my heater and a/c along with new duct work. Even though they may be more expensive, I trust they will sell me a quality product and the installation will be professional and they will back their service, if there are problems in the future.

Description of Work: We found J&J through a friend. My mother had just passed away and we had to put the work off for a week. Jay came into our home and provided a very professional explanation of what he and his company had to offer after he had looked at our system which was 13 years old. Jay explained every option and cost up front with no pressure of sales pitches just the pro's and con's to the different types of systems on the market and his system. We agreed on the type system and the price and were very pleased with the price. I had only met Jay that first time and when we called to have the date put off due to my mothers passing they arranged a better date that worked for us. While at the funeral home and looking at the flowers I noticed that J&J Burk had sent a beautiful flower arrangement for our family. Now I can say I ever never heard of this happening before.

Description of Work: Discovered that the electrical circuit had been tripped. Discussed how the aging insulation added to the needed power. Diagnosed low freon and replaced.

Description of Work: Called then number listed on Angie's List for J &J Burk Mechanical contactors. There was some confusion on the phone with the operators. I called to get a service call. the operator said they had an operator in my area and he would give me a call with in the hour. Well after an hour and no phone call I called back to check on my status request. I am pretty sure I spoke with the same woman and she remembered my voice and she seamed confused why I was calling her back....I don't know. Any way I requested again to have a operator come to service my appliance. with in 30 min I received a phone call and the representative was in my drive way ready to check out my outdoor ac unit. the service man showed me the fan motor and how it was leaking oil out of the side and he explained to me that the barrings inside the motor are dried out and causing the loud squeaking sound I was complaining about he said they would have to order that specific motor and he would be back in the morning to install it. The next day he did just what he said. he took the old motor out and put the new one in with in a few min. He explained to me the service and warranties on the new part. He Then explained there in store VIP members program. it was like 150$ a year to sign up but with that you are entitled to some free service calls and when you do have an emergency you are placed ahead of the other non VIP Members. which is what happened to me the first day I call with the hour wait and no phone call.

Description of Work: Work Performed: Replacement of entire HVAC system including heat pump, condenser, fresh air intakes and all duct work. The old components were removed from our home, prepped for disposal and taken off-site within 2 hours. I mentioned I'd like to turn in the old copper tubing and wire...the crew stripped the foam pipe insulation off the copper freon supply and return lines for me. All copper wire was rolled into an easy to transport coil for me. I was going to give a friend the old condenser, the crew made sure the old supply/return lines into the condenser were crimped/sealed to prevent freon leakage. What a bonus!
