Description of Work: "My water heater was leaking in my home during the beginning of this crazy, frigid February 2016 season. Shields Plumbing originally came out to my home to fix the issue. My home is over 30 years old and part of the central air component was REALLY close to my water heater. Shields Plumbing said that I would have to move that part of my central heat/air component before they could look at the water heater to figure out what's wrong. Now, there was NO easy way to make that happen and quickly get the water heater fixed. Keep in mind that it's February and not having hot water is a BIG problem. | |I'm thinking that there HAS to be someone else that can work around it with better tools or perhaps a small camera to fit through the tight space, or maybe just some creative thinking, outside the box, to get this done. | |Thankfully, I was able to speak to Dale from Hodges Plumbing and they came out and did what Shields Plumbing couldn't do. | |They were very prompt and professional and I couldn't be more satisfied with their company. Plus, they saved me time and money from not having to move the central heat/air. | |I have a contract with AHS, which is how I was referred to both Shields Plumbing and Hodges Plumbing. | |I've had a few other things that came up after getting my water heater fixed and I call AHS to specifically request for Hodges Plumbing. They're a REALLY great company and my first ""Go To"" for anything plumbing related. They were great through our whole ""ordeal"" and I HIGHLY recommend them.

Terrible. Wouldn't take calls. Wouldn't give our insurance company their scope of work or their estimate. We have insurance and can't use it since hodges refuses to answer calls. Very dishonest company.
Description of Work: Over charged for starters. Refused to take our calls after work was done. Re routed a water line from shower to sink about 3 feet. Charged 1800.00

They (ins co) considered it an emergency since we couldn't use any water in the house (toilet, showers, laundry, dishes, etc) until the lines were cleared. The outdoor sewer line plugged up Saturday morning; the blockage was between the outdoor overflow pipe and city sewer system. Two hours after I reported the problem, the plumber's secretary called saying they'd be here Monday morning 9 am (48 hr wait time). I explained this was an ER call, and we needed the guys to snake out the line before the hard freeze Sunday night. She claimed they were busy and Monday was the earliest time slot. I called ins co back, but they didn't have any other local vendors. My hubby got a square of small-framed chicken wire and capped off the overflow drain tightly so we could wash one day's worth of work clothes. **geesh** We had gone all weekend, limiting water usage, no showers, no flushing and it smelled like an outhouse in the guest bath room. Owner and helper was 15 minutes late that morning. Took them less than 20 minutes to open the lines, and they said it was most likely toilet paper that plugged it up. Our lot is flooded with trees and roots, but they didn't run a camera into the line to search for blockage reasons as I had expected. Now, I'm expecting it to plug back up again when things re-freeze as we go through winter months. Because we pay premiums to Home Shield, we are obligated to accept their contractors, otherwise I would have called another plumber.
Description of Work: Under the Home Service Water & Sewer insurance policy, Hodges Plumbing was the only contractor/provider available in our area to work on the outside overflow drain.

It went quite well. They were here for 3 hours, because we have a water well, and they had to fix other issues with original plumbing. They were very professional and honest.
