Benchmark Builders

Description of Work: Supposed to be a remodel adding a room and repairing the foundation. The foundation was poorly repaired but Benchmark Builders did not pay the foundation company which voided my lifetime warranty. The Builders made an enormus mess in my back yard during the construction and had large trucks driving through the grass making large ruts. To get the trucks into the back yard a portion of the wooden fence was removed and never replaced properly. Benchmark Builders did not want to repair the grass because it was not in the contract and argued for several days before finally replacing grass with sod that never grew. The remodeling part of the contract was to fix all of the cracks in the walls and ceiling. Benchmark Builders refused to repair the cracks in the shower wall because there was tile on the wall. This was the final straw that broke my back. Benchmark Builders had not done any work in my house for 2 weeks so I fired them. I had paid 40,000 dollars of a 44,000 dollar contract when the contract was terminated. Benchmark Builders placed a lien on my property for the 4,000 dollars. I filed a civil lawsuit in Comanche County District court for a lien release and 5,000 dollars for the foundation . I was awarded the 5,000 dollars and the lien release (to be removed by Benchmark Builders) in March 2010. I had to go to the courthouse and pay 15 dollars in May of 2011 to have the lien removed and I have still not received ANY money from the judgement. I still do not have a warranty for my foundation and Benchmark Builders has totally defied the order of the district judge. Benchmark Builders are still doing business in the Lawton/Ft. Sill area and I know for a fact that I am not the only victim of this type of fraud. Please be very careful when dealing with Benchmark Builders. My best advise is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
