JENKS FENCE

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Jenks Fence came out and measured my yard for a new fence and gave me an estimate, but were not clear on what the estimate covered. I believed that the estimate included everything that was measured. I agreed to the cost of the original estimate with the understanding that it was for the ENTIRE fence. There were a few small changes, but they never said what those would cost. After the fence was completed, they sent me an email with a cost increase of about $3000 (which I believe is too high). They claim that the original estimate did not include a large section of the fence that WAS measured when they came out to give me the original estimate. Part of the labor was already done for them, since several of the posts were set up in a retaining wall and for part of the large gate. I paid the first half of the signed contract by credit card instead of a check (SERIOUS MISTAKE)!!!! So they kept my credit card information (which I did not agree to) and when they came back with the much higher price, which I disputed, they went ahead and charged my credit card without my authorization. DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FOR ANY REASON!!!!! I’m willing to pay for the work and services rendered, including the changes. But increasing the price by about $3000 I believe is unreasonable. Storing credit card information and running my card without authorization is unethical and against the law. The company was supposed to call back after first trying to discuss the dispute, but never did. They simply ran my credit card without authorization and moved on. I cannot and would not recommend them after my experience.

Punctuality was a little bit of an issue. I would recommend them but I'd tell other people to be very specific on timeline.

I contacted Jenks Fence over their website. In less than 24 hours Rusty set up my appointment and send the technician the scheduled day. Both provided answers to my question in a professional, respectful manner. Kyle came at the scheduled time and answer more questions. The gate was up an running after 30 minutes. Jenks installed my driveway gate two years ago, and gave me a great post sale service I will hire them again, I recommend them

I will never use them and I'll make sure to let others know they are unreliable. Too bad, I had heard good things. If they were too busy I could have understood that, but to promise to go out the house and get me the bids and then never call or email back is unprofessional. Gives me an idea how their work might be.

They were awesome. They were efficient, communicated very well and the price was great.

Two visits to their office and two requests were made to prepare an estimate for an admittedly small fencing repair job...The replacement of approximately 60 feet of 4-foot chain link fencing. I heard nothing back. Zero, zip, nada. I try to support local/nearby businesses and I was very willing to pay above a fair price and had no demands as to a timetable for this work, but these guys evidently didn't like the color of my money. Eventually, I went with another company. Better to have told me up front that they were not interested in the job than to falsely lead me to believe they were going to give me a quote in a timely manner. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT. It is amazing to me that any company can operate this way and manage to stay in business.

When the job was quoted, I was told it would be two weeks before the posts could be installed. Two weeks came and no communication so I called and was told we weren't on the schedule. A followup call generated an and quot;early next weekand quot; response. They showed up Thuersday and installed the posts. This was about a month from the initial contract signing and two weeks later than proposed. Weather was not an issue.

Excellent work done promptly and professionally. They replaced sections of fence knocked down recently in a very bad storm with 70mph winds.

We needed to close our backyard on our new house in order to have more privacy and keep our little dog in our backyard. We ask several quotes (5) from different providers listed here on Angie's. (2) of them never showed up regardless our appointment. Out of the (3) companies that came and took measurement From Jenks Fence, Kirk came on time and did the measurements. 24 hours later we had written RFQ specifying all the job I went to the main office with my Husband and we were kindly received by Rusty, the general Manager from Jenks Fence. Rusty came with more options in terms of styles (we were walked around Jenks Fence show yard) and pricing. We really liked the patience, flexibility and in deep explanations from Rusty. We were in a tight time frame and others were offering the job done in 6 weeks, Rusty pulled it off and promised a month tops. After paying the 50% of the job, Jenks sent Luis to our home. A neat craftsman that sent the posts in the same week. Luis worked neatly the Fence and two weeks later we had the Fence in in place with the opener. They work was quickly done (10 days ahead) in a very professional way We are very satisfied with the work done. I will hire them again when need it. PS: J. Fence accepts mayor Credit Cards

Did not go. Contractor chose not to inspect and measure the work requested. Instead, he provided an over the phone and quot;per footand quot; approximate estimate.

Exactly what we asked for we got.

Work was done in 2 days, price was reasonable, fence is beautiful.

I got my estimate form Jeremy. He managed to take my general idea and make into exactly what I wanted. He told me it would be several weeks. They gave me notice the week before so I could have my neighbor move their stuff and they called me in the morning of the job so I could take my dogs to doggie camp. Great fence and great clean up, and I have the most marvelous framed gate!

Darin the salesman that came to take measurements and survey the job area, was very nice, and knowledgeable of the fencing business. We asked how busy his company was and what kind of estimate he could give us on a start date. He stated that they could start within a week, give or take a day or two.... of having a signed contract and 1/2 of the job cost total, as a deposit. He stated he would go back to the office and figure up my estimate and email it to me the next day. Which he did. After comparing all the estimates we got, we choose Jenks Fence to do the job. I called the office they emailed over a contract, I signed it and gave them a deposit and was told they would be out near the end of the next week. This was on June 8, 2011. Over the next 6 weeks, we were repeatedly put off and given different excuses each week until finally on July 7th, with no fence and no firm start date, I called the Jenks Fence office and asked for a refund of our deposit. The secretary told me she would have to get the manager to do that and she would have him call me. He did, within about 30 minutes. His name was Rusty and he proceeded to explain that the reason they had not installed my fence was that they were out of the materials to do the job. He stated that they had been on backorder for several weeks, I asked him why I wasn't advised of the material status in the beginning and he just danced around the issue. Rusty finally gave me a firm date of July 18th, and we agreed to wait til then. We finally had a completed fence on July 22nd. The crew that finally came on July 21st, was professional, organized and did a great job! They cleaned up the work area and carried off all trash and debris. Kudos to the actual work crew and to Sherry in the office for her patience. All said and done, we got a nice fence extension in the end... Just did NOT enjoy the runaround on the journey to the end result!!!

Thier communication, follow through and quality were spot on. Second time we have used this company and will use them without getting bids if needed for any future work that may come along.

I was very satisfied. My only concern was cost but in this case I'm satisfied the work quality, materials, and quick work was worth the cost.

I was extremely happy with this exceptional company. They were very flexible and polite. They did exactly what I asked them to in a timely fashion. I would absolutely use this company again for my fencing needs. They really impressed my husband and I. I honestly can not recall what I paid for the services rendered without consulting my paperwork. I will say it was a great price for the specialty services that I had with them doing the gate work as I had requested.

Everyone I spoke to at Jenks Fence was extremely courteous and helpful - they really seemed to want and appreciate the business. They installed and completed our fence project exactly as promised, and much quicker than any other fence company said they could. After calling several fence companies for quotes, Jenks Fence was the most competitively priced and exceeded our expectations in the overall job. We will DEFINITELY use Jenks Fence again in the future.
