On October 15, 2014 I hired Clear Creek Plumbing and Gas to replace the hot water tank in my garage. This gas water heater sits on a 36" platform in a closet. Since there are water stains from a previous leak, which has been repaired, I was concerned about the floor. I expressed my concerns on this and the plumber inspected the floor and pronounced it good. He said I simply needed to use a fan to dry it out, which I did. On February 3, 2015, I noticed that the water heater is leaning to one side. I have found out that the floor is not strong enough to hold the water heater. The tank is in danger of falling through the floor, and, as it is a gas heater, this could cause an explosion, but, at the very least it would cause a fire. I immediately called the owner of Clear Creek plumbing to review the situation. He came and told me it was not their problem. He said the floor was fine when they installed the heater. He refused to even consider helping with the situation. Upon close inspection, there are clearly visible places where the floor has decayed. Two months is not long enough for this type of damage to have taken place. They should have noticed this and informed me so I could have taken care of the problem then. I feel that they put my home and my very life in jeopardy with their negligence. I asked him to uninstall the heater and replace it when I get the floor repaired, at no charge, since this whole situation was caused by his employee's negligence, but he said no. I was forced to hire another plumber to remove the water heater while a carpenter repaired the floor. Plumber then reinstalled water heater on a safe floor. I strongly recommend you do not do business with this company.
