The initial contract was signed on 6/28/2013 at that time he was to Prepare the Concrete / Score / Seal / Overlay the front and back patio. Repair the hardwood border in the kitchen / Replace Countertops with Marble in Kitchen / Replace MBR Bath carpet with tile.. the entire project was $3000. He required $1500 before the work begin he cashed the check the very next day on 6/29/2013. The contract states that he will complete work no later than 7/28/2013 and should there be a delay he would give it in writing a new date of completion. He gave one excuse after another on when and why he was unable to begin. He did not come back to our house until 9/8/201 (6 weeks AFTER the completion date! And almost 11 weeks after the deposit and the signing of the contract) only to put his Marketing sign in the yard and to put up Caution tape. He showed up on 9/10/2013 to begin work he was at our house for less than an hour. From 9/10/2013 – 9/19/2013 he according to him “performed layout and scoring / prep and pressure wash / emulsify and pigment” He let us know it would be more than a week to finish the work since it was schedule to rain 2 days the next week. I suggested that he begin work on the inside. He said he has other projects and would not start one of the other projects until the outside was finished. The outside was the LEAST important of all the projects. He was extremely rude and excuse driven. I ask him to give me in writing what he has done and how much it cost. He said he charged us $1455 to performed layout and scoring / prep and pressure wash / emulsify and pigment - that is extremely excessive. He said he gave us a discount and if he took off those projects then the price would be normal rates / he did NOTHING for not even beginning work 11 weeks after the contract and deposit. DO NOT USE HIM – YOU WILL BE SORRY

Response from Signature Concretes LLC
I as the founder/owner of Signature Concretes LLC would like to once again apologize (publicly) to [member name removed] for all delays in commencing work at [member name removed] residence. Signature Concretes LLC has operated professionally and ethically regarding this residential agreement. We have intentionally stayed connected with [member name removed]through this entire process. There were initial delays because of on going jobs that were previous commitments. When contract was signed, the dates were an estimated guess. Uncontrollable events arise daily in the world of construction. Regardless of how loyal one may be to a customer. This was discussed between Dale and I. The actual agreement was for prep, scoring, color, and seal exterior front and rear. Interior; bathroom self leveling epoxy. Interior; kitchen epoxy coating on counter tops. Once the door opened for Dales residence, we began work. After one week of prepping, cutting, and pigmentation attempts [member name removed] contacted us and asked for the work to stop and a full refund. I was polite and professional during her outburst and assured her the exterior work was almost complete and that we would like to finish. She then refused and wanted an invoice for the work that had been completed. So based on individual task Signature Concretes LLC presented [member name removed] an invoice reflecting those prices and offered a refund for the difference. A check is being sent to [member name removed] for that amount. This job agreement was not initiated through Angieslist. As for the Grading [member name removed] presented through Angieslist I feel is inaccurate. Here is why... Pricing: Exterior was est. 900sqft. The entire process was bid at 1.66 per sqft. In the Decorative Concrete industry, that is extremely low. Normal industry rates would be $2.50 per sqft for prep, color, and (low end) acrylic sealer. Scoring rates are between .50 and $1.00 per sqft depending on the job requirements and extensiveness of the cutting. The other services agreed upon reflect the same scenario. 96% of our previous customer base love our willingness to offer prices that are more affordable. Quality: The work that was completed at Dales residence I personally assessed. All scoring was angle appropriate at 45 degrees and completely square. I check all cuts with a triangle square for accuracy. The prep work was done well. The pigmentation process is advanced and thoughtful. We want customers to have the best product/color for their particular needs. Response: We always responded in a timely fashion. We also communicate well. Punctual: Not positive. We allowed previous jobs to over absorb our time. We could have done way better on being punctual. And we regret this part. Many times. Professionalism: I like to uphold professional requirements and standards. Since 2007 I have had a total of three dissatisfied customers. Any individual that has ever worked for Signature Concretes LLC knows the importance of this subject. Customers are vital. 90% of Our jobs are through referals, not advertising. We are proud to be able to claim that. I hope this helps. There are other Companies that do what we do. And others that I would refer. We are just another Company in this trade. Although this stuff does matter to me. And by saying DONT USE HIM OR YOU WILL BE SORRY, I feel is a bit harsh. But none the less important. Have a great day.
