Ended up going with another company after over a week no response. Wish I would of signed up with Angie's List beforehand to see these negative reviews, then I wouldn't of wasted my time, waiting.
Description of Work: Tried to set up an appt. to come out.. Lady on phone said they would have to come out the following week but never called back.

contacted their office to schedule a estimate and agreed on a day. ON the agreed day I took a day off of work to meet the someone however nobody showed or called back after three calls to their secretary asking about an eta. They obviously aren't interested in customer service or they have enough work they don't need any more. Typical Muskogee.....

I called & gave them the contract to replace my roof on July 30 and was told it would be 3 weeks out. I called in late August and was told it would be early September. I called in late September and got no return call. I called again October 16 and again no return call. I've now given the contract to someone else.

Gil Miller Roofing was hired to roof my 1800 sq. ft. house that I had just purchased. I spoke with Gil himself about the job and the price, then his son and his crew came to do the work. The roof tear-off was going fine. When the shingles were opened however, they were the wrong ones. So the crew had to wait about 2 hours for the right ones to show up. Well, that wait seemed to make him (Gil's son) very irritated. Having had a home inspection recently done, I was prepared to have to replace some of the decking due to sagging from heat damage, but when I asked him about it, he told me they were all fine. Even arguing about it, even though they had brought 4 sheets of decking for such purpose. I honestly believe he didn't want to do it because they got a late start and it was so hot outside. They just wanted to "do it and go". I offered as much ice and water and shade as i could. As the roofing job proceeded, I notice that they were only using 3 nails per shingle. I was told by Gil that they use 4 per shingle. They were also putting on the shingles from the top down and the bottom up, meeting about the middle of the roof, pulling them up and tucking them under. I hadn't seen that done before, and I have had 5 other roofing jobs done elsewhere. They also damaged the siding where the front porch connects to the roof. I called Gil and asked if he would come and look at how the job was going, but he refused. It wasn't until they had left that I noticed that they hadn't replaced any of the drip-edge they had pulled off!!! That is supposed to be done before the shingles go on! When I called Gil to ask him why they didn't replace the drip-edge, I was told, "Oh, well that costs extra. We only do that if the customer requests it." Well he failed to ask me. You would think, IF THEY TORE IT OFF, THEN THEY SHOULD REPLACE IT!! Now I have a half inch gap between the roof and the siding for water to get into. I have never heard of installing a drip-edge as "optional". I've gotten many estimates and hired many roofers in the past. This company was recommended by several different people in Muskogee. Maybe that was back when someone else did the work. I sure wouldn't recommend the today. I'll probably have to contact the ins. commission or atty. general.

Response from Gil Miller Roofing Inc
Gave written estimate on work to be done. We use 4 - 6 nails per full shingle, depends on pitch of roof. Shingles were back down on vally to keep straight. Metal edge was not included in Est. No facia or soffit work to be done. My crew fixed droop on front porch as the member asked. This is why siding buckled. Wasn't suppose to be done didn't charge him. We have an A+ rating in the BBB.
