I have filed a review on this provider on this site and given him an F - I was searching and found this listing with NO review for it - it is the same company. You can find my previous complaint in my file. This company quit on us after 16 weeks, leaving us with no plumbing, an unfinished kitchen, bad tile grout color etc. We have just completed getting bids on repairing/replacing the following mess left by this company" bad cabinet and drawer doors - all were made of cheap wood, the raised panel was caulked poorly and they were not painted correctly with the right comination of paint/lacquer and not enough coats cost to replace, new doors, new paint, reinstall correctly with good hinges $ 8000.00 Badly built dishwasher cabinet - this company had the specs AND the dishwasher on site the entire 16 weeks. The dishwasher does not fit in the cabinet - causing it to tilt backwards and leak. Cost to fix cabinet and repaint island - $1500.00 We had to complete plumbing expenses when he left to have running water in our kitchen cost to fix $950.00 We had to replace a very poorly built stainless steel shelf on a poorly built back splash cost to replace shelf and fix bad backsplash $100.00 We had to modify stoves sides and back as the plumbing and electrical were not placed in the correct location on the wall - again, he had specs and acutal appliances the entire project - causing the stoves to hang out into the room over 3 inches cost to fix $500.00 we are still getting bids, the costs are rising and we are still finding mistakes. No one should use this company. Check out BBB for further negative reviews.

Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY or anyone associated with them: We are filing a BBB complaint against Kevin Jones – Kjones Construction- Kjones Construction and Roofing…and all parties hired by Kevin Jones/ Kjones Construction concerning our kitchen remodel. This company is unreliable and provides little supervision of their sub-contractors for quality of work. The owner or project managers only come to the house when we call them with complaints. He and or his project managers (Ron and or Mark Inman) have been out 11 times. We hired this company/gentleman in good faith and paid him his first payment of $6500.00 as requested on May 31, 2013. His company/sub-contractors started work on the following Monday, June 3, 2013. We have had nothing but empty promises, shoddy work, poor scheduling and lies since we hired this company. At this current date, we are in our 16th week of the re-model that we were told would last 5.5/6 weeks. They are not done. We fired his Project manager Mark Inman 8 weeks ago, and the new project manager Ron said it wouldn’t take him another 8 weeks to complete the job. Tomorrow is the end of that second 8 week period. We still lack completed flooring (which we paid for already ($4367.00). The tiling guys have now taken 8 days and are not complete. They grouted with what they say is the color I picked, but it is too light. They will now have to stain 1000 sf of grout lines. Two coats. The tillers say they won’t do that. We do not have completed plumbing (or water - we have done our dishes in the bathtub for 5 months now, since our kitchen was gutted), our appliances have not been hooked up, painting for walls and cabinetry is not complete. This company does not seem to want to complete our kitchen. They worked 23 days on just painting the cabinets using 3 sub-par sub-contractors/ worker crews and the painting is still not done to satisfaction. The last guys Kjones sent had never painted cabinets before, they told us they paint caterpillars and bull dozers! We have documented over 90 places that need repair. KJones has promised to call in our electrical final since August 16, 2013. The ‘custom’ cabinetry is still not correct: doors are not hung correctly, the glass and trim in the doors is not complete, not all the shelves are in and we have no date set for that to be accomplished. The stainless steel backsplash has not shown up or been installed. We are going to have to hire another company to come behind this contractor to fix the paint job and cabinetry mess, as obviously this company can’t fix it. That will be more cost for us. Plumbers showed up today and 15 minutes later, left. They said they were not prepared to do our job. We have paid this company $19867.00 to date. We have $6668.67 left to pay them according to their bid, which we are holding until all promised work is complete. We have an expectation of a good job done, and in Oklahoma there is a “reasonable standard” to which all contractor work should be completed to. We have 1000’s of pictures and have 100’s of e-mails and text messages documenting promises made on work to be done on our home by this contractor. We wanted the job complete, and in a timely fashion. We are now way beyond the timely fashion. We just want the job to be done and the hassle’s to be over. No more false promises!! They have been working for 45 days in this 16 week period, less than 50% of available time. On August 8, 2013 we respectfully gave them a deadline to complete by 20 September 2013 (which is 16 weeks total). We have company coming for a week October 4th and we wanted to be able to have the house back together before they arrive. They have not complied. At this time, we have no completion date scheduled. Neither Kevin Jones nor his associates will schedule any of the completion work, and we have contacted them multiple times via e-mail and phone. Here is the list of things still needing to be completed at the end of week 16. Tile and grout 4 rooms and hall- still working on this – grout color is wrong- 2 coats of stain needed Fix and re-paint cabinetry frames, doors and drawers – three painters and we are still not satisfied Fix all cabinets/drawers that are uneven and do not hang properly Fix damage to walls around new sills Cover up blue paint that is on white Touch up paint on scratches etc. on other paint all over kitchen Clean off all tape goo Put in shelves Put on door stoppers (to even out how they sit on frames) Fix screws that have come through Fix corner hole under vent hood Re-do edges of vents where nothing was sanded and wood is splintered Fix two door frames where drywall mud was left on and painted over/re-paint Install trim around glass in cupboard doors Install mullions on glass Install sink drains Install faucet for sink- we have this Install garbage disposal- we have this Install and wire air switch for garbage disposal Make and install stainless steel backsplash- they did this today 9/19/2013 not acceptable Install plumbing for dishwasher Install water line for ice maker Install gas lines for stoves Install faucet for pot filler- we have this Install shelves in cupboards Install ovens- we have these Install refrigerator- we have this Install dishwasher- we have this Install AC vent cover on bench seating Unplug intake for AC and put cover back on Call for final electrical inspection- pass Call for final plumbing inspection- pass Final walk through and touch up We want our kitchen completed. This contractor knows we have family coming in from New York to stay for the week in 2 weeks. This hasn’t even moved him. We can’t move our stuff back into our dining room, guest room, guest bath, or kitchen until the kitchen is done! 9/22/2013 We received an e-mail tonight from KJones stating that he was quitting our job. We had stopped payment on a $2500 check to pay for our tiling work. The tiling guys took 9 days to tile ( we were told 2 for tiling and 1 for grouting). The grout color we picked was a dark brown that matched the tile. When they grouted, it was a very light brown. We had spoken to Marvin about the color and he said he couldn't fix it. We refused to pay. We sent multiple e-mails to KJones and he never answered us. It was at that point we stopped payment. He quit our kitchen remodel and left us without plumbing or water in our kitchen, no appliances installed , bad cabinet paint job, bad tile grout color ( the grout stain they used came up with a water mop) , no HVAC venting on a vent UNDER a bench seat they put in (which we have since found out it not code), a dishwasher cabinet that does not fit the dishwasher, a stove cabinet that does not fit the stoves (they stick out 4 inches from the wall) , cracking grout lines at the top of the crown molding on the cabinets, incomplete glass doors on 4 cabinets, doors and drawers that are not hung straight or plumb, a poorly constructed stainless steel back splash and shelf behind the stove compartment, etc. We are spending our own money and time hiring people to fix this guys mess!! Pictures to be posted later.

Response from Kevin Jones
This claim is, by no means, validated. We have successfully completed over 100 remodel projects this year and with many references to show, and some of the highest end projects in Oklahoma. We have had nothing but problems with these homeowners since day one. We built a high end kitchen and had it painted by one of the best painters around, which has never in 10 years of working with us, had a complaint or walked off any job without completing. He walked off this project and said that he cannot deal with these owners, so we began this nightmare process of bringing in 3 more paint crews, which obviously none have met their expectations. I have paid over $10,000 out of my pocket to try and please these homeowners. We finally moved on to the tile phase, which the tile layer called twice during the install process and wanted to walk off the project, due to the rudeness of the homeowners. He ended up staying until completion of the install. The homeowner then picked out the grout, which he immediately text us the grout name. Then after the grouting, we were told that he must have bought the wrong grout, because it is lighter than they wanted. I went ahead and agreed to pay the tile setter to stain the grout out of my pocket and they are not happy with one room and went crazy. They stopped payment on the check for the tile layer. She has sent many emails calling everyone names throughout this process and believes that everyone is always out to get them. I finally just gave up. I have never walked away from a job but I have never had a homeowner like this.

A lot of trouble. Takes a lot out of you having to watch his crews do to lack of supervision on his. Part.
Description of Work: They did an update and repair on the fascia of our home and had to do it twice as there was no supervision of crew. The crew would work for a hour and then take 2hours off. The first time it was not straight and every time I would tell the crew they just laughed and said yea we' ll fix it. Finally keven came out and said I was correct and they would do it over.Good job the second time, The second job was to do a bathroom upgrade a year later we are still waiting for some cabinets Kevin has told me at least 5 times it will be 2 weeks. Asked Kevin to look at a roof leak said his crew would be out Monday that's been 4 months ago. Sorry wouldn't recommend. Not a man of his word.
