Started out good, the owner's boy and friends were on time. They'd mow and bag the front and back lawn; haul debris away. They'd edge if needed, weed wack and blow the driveway and backyard payment to clear grass. Prior to starting, I informed the owner that I just had the lawn double cut to get rid of the thick thatch from winter and didn't need the lawn double cut. He assured me that he would drive by and assess the lawn prior to starting a contract with me. I informed him that I didn't need that done, but after his drive by he took it upon himself to do it anyways without talking with me. When the bill came, he charged me an additional $89.00 for the very service I didn't want nor need. He didn't listen. I brought this to the attention of my husband but since we were new to the area we thought to give him a second try. Little did we know that this business relationship was headed for disaster. His son and friends were showing up late cause they'd be sleeping in the company truck prior to being on-time cause they were partying the night before and were tired. I know this to be true as the owner mentioned it to me and was nice enough to apologize however, it started becoming routine. They'd show up 30-60minutes ahead of schedule, nap and then be late mowing your yard. Another instance happened, when I asked his son to weed wack on the opposite side of the fence (still my property) facing the golf course and at first he had no problem doing it. He protrayed a bad attitude when asked weekly to do it only because we saw him not doing it did we mention it to him. We did however, mention this to his father thinking he would get it through to his son but that too was ineffective. There were no visible signs that the weed wacking had been done. When asked to do it, the owners son would shrug his shoulders and ignore you as if he couldn't hear. This became frustrating and disrespectful. As this went on for 2 months, I started considering other lawn care companies or doing the lawn myself. But what really made me stop at nothing of firing them was when the owner claimed that I owed him an additional $20.00 before my bill was paid in full w/him. I when through all the bills I received and where I paid and how much and he still thought that I owed him more money than previously discussed. I didn't pay him the $20 as I thought that this is one way of getting back monies he took from me in the first place ($89.00 for double cutting my yard when it wasn't needed). In my book he still owes me $69.00. And then we'd be even. My neighbor also used them and we found KO Lawn Service through them. My neighbor cut ties with them a few months back and now we understand why.
