Grooms Irrigation

It was as fantastic as having your front yard dug up can be. They came out the day after I called them and emailed an estimate the day after that. They got us on the schedule for the next week. They were very careful to go to the far side of my big oak tree so as not to damage the roots. They had to hand dig under a brick flower bed border and the best thing of all was that they put the backflow preventer on the side of the house so I don't have that awful fake rock in the middle of my front flower bed. The city inspector came out the next day, there were no problems and they filled in the trench. I was expecting a hill all the way around the yard but except for the lack of grass you'd never know anything was done. They were really terrific!

I’m pleased with their work. The next storms will tell how well the system works. I’d hire them again.

I needed a lot of work done since I haven't serviced my sprinklers in a long time. I drew out a map of all the work that needed to be done. They knew exactly how to repair all of the problems and did the work quickly. They reviewed all of the work in detail after they were done. Great job.

Went well.

The crew damaged my plants in my flower beds and haphazardly attempted to cover it up. Did not diagnose or repair anything. Repeated attempts to speak with a manager were unreturned. Company sent invoice for damages performed. Beware of this business!

I have a large residential sprinkler system that was in bad need of maintenance. The Grooms folks were responsive, on time, and quick. They replaced multiple worn out rotors that I knew were bad, and several leaking valves where water was pooling to the surface. I have called on them exclusively for the past 15 yrs, and would not trust anyone else. Special thanks to Kathy in the scheduling office, and Kyle & crew for all their hard work. Mark Galaway

We've hired Groom's irrigation twice for landscaping work and been very happy both times. We recently removed an above ground pool and deck and hired them to level out the yard, plant a tree and put down new sod. They were prompt with an estimate and timeline. They showed up as scheduled and the workers were very pleasant and professional. They even replaced shrubs that didn't make it through the winter from the last time we hired them. Steve returned every phone call I made to him and made sure everything was just what we wanted. Can't say enough good things about them! They may not be the cheapest in town but it's worth every penny. You get what you pay for!

I have used these folks for years. They are always responsive, and professional. The most important thing is that I trust them. Prices are in line with other providers.

I loved the Groom's folks and products, and wanted to use them, but my budget just wouldn't cut it.

We pay them yearly. They also left us an estimate on some things we need to have done. They were very professional, prompt and they called ahead of time to say they were on their way. They were careful not to track dirt in our house with their muddy shoes. They got back to us promptly when we called.

Estimator was very pleasant and professional. He took a week or so to get me an estimate for both the rainwater collection system and for a sprinkler system. He seemed to be knowledgeable and informed on rainwater collection systems. I never did get the estimate for the sprinkler system (probably because when the estimate was placed on my front door it was obvious that we'd already had the system installed by another company. This company did install my neighbor's irrigation system, but this company took a lot longer to complete the project for a smaller lawn than the company we selected (I watched them start and stop the project for over a week, whereas my company (not this company) finished the installation of a sprinkler system in two days (for a much larger yard).

Once servicemen arrived, they were very curtious and professional. Checked other items of irragation system to ensure all items functoning properly. Difficulty is scheduling appointment and recieving accurate information of arrival time.

Took a little long to start work. Basic work was done quickly and neatly.

I called Grooms to get help with a zone not coming on, probably a valve issue. We scheduled a few days out, for Thursday, September 27th between 1:00 and 5:00. I took off that afternoon as I work downtown and it's not close enough to just run over and meet them when they call. Well, I got no-showed. No call, no voicemail, nothing. No call on Friday either. It was raining off and on Thursday but not during my scheduled appointment other than a short sprinkle. As for the rain- this is an irrigation repair, these people are used to getting wet and a little muddy. No excuse not to call. Funny thing, they just called while I was writing this report. Proves they have the correct number. Too late, I've moved on. Good Lord, is there a decent irrigation company around here?

We have used them several times. Our first experience with them was great, but we had them repair our sprinkler system. We had to have them come out twice because it kept having come out fast. They came out for a leak and didn’t fix it. It leaked again and they came again. They charged me twice for the same leak. The service man was rude to me when he had to come back again to fix it.

I thought they were very good but expensive. They did the work promptly.

I called Grooms after seeing them listed on Angie's List. I am selling a house and needed a leak fixed in the sprinkler system. I was expecting it to cost around $300. They called to tell me they were on the way and even arrived before I did. The got to work immediately and were done within 45 minutes.

Good, they did the right thing by coming back out to the house and fixing it for free when they didn't find the busted pipe the first time.

The work went fairly well. Grooms arrived within the agreed upon time and went directly to work. The work itself took no more than 20 minutes. Later when I received the bill I was confused, because the wording on the invoice sounded like they replaced more than they actually had. I contacted the company and a few days later I received a simple explanation that cleared it up.

The price that they quoted me and the price that they charged was right on. I would hire Grooms Irrigation again. I felt that they did a great job.

Groom's irrigation is easy to deal with, always makes sure the work is complete. If there are any problems they come back and do it right away. I would refer them to others. I am totally satisfied with the finished product.
