Giant Landscape LLC

I had been looking for about 6 months for someone to do this job. I had contacted several companies, but was never able to actually talk to them about the job (they didn't call me back). Blake called me back, came out when he said he would and worked with our budget. The idea that he came up with and we agreed on, was something that we had not thought about doing, but we couldn't be happier with the way it looks. His crew was friendly and professional, and answered any questions we had during the job.

Blake (Owner) and crew were timely and extremely attentive to detail. After the initial landscape design was approved, work began within a few weeks, we had to wait for the weather to warm up prior to beginning project. Once the project began, crews were on time and Blake was quick to address any and all issues that were brought up by my wife and I. As with any project, changes were requested and Blake provided through explanations of either why this would be a good idea, but more often why it would not. His expertise was invaluable as I would have probably made changes that would have later cost myself much more money in either repairs or alterations. As a home that was out of date, the end product is now the envy of the neighborhood, and yes my neighbors will attest. Blake is a very competent landscape designer. He listened to our preferences an developed a landscape design plan that was creative and met our expectations. The company had a backlog of work and we had to wait several weeks for work to start. Once work began, it progressed steadily until completed. The quality of plantings was good, and the alterations to the sprinkler system were done well. We had a couple of minor problems after work was completed and Blake was very responsive in fixing the problems. We had a previouss experience with a local plant and tree nursery, and the personal touch and responsiveness was not nearly as good as our experience with Giant Lanscaping.

I purchased a neglected rental in a desirable neighborhood and began renovations last year, but due to necessary major updates (rewire, decking, etc.) the landscaping had to be put on hold. Because of the need for many different contractors needed I finally joined Angie's list. I took advantage of an Angie's List deal to receive a landscape plan for my home. Giant Landscape owner, Blake, met with me to discuss my "wish list". When he returned the following week with my plan it was apparent that he had paid close attention to what I wanted while being mindful of my budget. He made viable alternate suggestions for areas where wants and budget did not quite meet. He is scheduled to begin my sprinkler installation in the spring and we will begin landscaping in phases following the installation. Blake was very pleasant and professional and I am looking forward to working with him on the transformation.

I was very impressed with all the workmen that did my landscaping, especially the gentleman who drew up the plan and made the deal with me. He was considerate and gracious, and actually ended up charging me a bit less than we had agreed on. He waited until the job was finished before collecting any money for it. I have a large yard, and many areas that could use some attention, and I only wish I could have him redo every inch of it! I have received many compliments from friends and neighbors, and one neighbor came over as soon as my job was completed, and got the name and phone number to call. He ended up redoing both front and back yards at the house he was preparing for market, using Giant Landscaping. I recommend this company whole-heartedly.

Giant landscape was prompt on giving me an estimate. Offered an online approval for the estimate and initiate work. They were working in the yard fairly quickly (within a few days). The job ended up extending into @ 2 partial days. They were very courteous and professional. Our garden beds look excellent!

Great transaction. I dealt with Blake who spec'd out the job and was very quick to get my quote to me electronically. The work was scheduled promptly and was handled flawlessly. I will now use Blake for any of my landscape needs.

Giant Landscape's employees showed up actually a day earlier and did all the tear-out of the old landscape in one day and over next 2 days the new landscape was installed and finished to our complete satisfaction. They even adjusted my outdoor lighting for me. I would highly recommend Blake and his crew. I would not hesitate to use them again

It went extremely well. Blake listened carefully to our concept and was very patient in responding to our questions. He made numerous suggestions on how to accomplish the goal. He was punctual, friendly, genuine, and flexible. His pricing was on target. He personally supervised the work team and kept us abreast of progress and responded energetically to all our comments. We were more than happy with the results; he delivered exactly what we asked for. He was professional throughout and very easy to work with. Blake was the 5th company we got estimates from and he won the job with his expertise, can-do attitude, and willingness to work with us.

He has come out twice and has been on time and will be starting my repairs in October. He was very professional and informative.

Blake made the process as painless as possible. My dogs were not happy with being kept in during the day, but knew we'd have to put up with their shenanigans during the installation. The crew arrived on time every day. It took his crew just over a week to do an enormous amount of heavy work in 100 degree temperatures. These guys worked nonstop! Blake came by every day to check on the progress and to see if we had any questions or issues. The men on his crew were pleasant and polite. Overall, it was a good experience and I plan on have Blake come back as soon as it cools off to install the rest of the plants on the initial design. I highly recommend Giant Landscape. Blake Emerson is a consummate professional and an absolute joy to work with.

Very nice -professional-creative. Plan was too expensive

Blake did come out to look around at my yard. He did come back about a week later to provide the plan, estimate, and show me examples of plants. He always responds when I call. He is going to be doing a large landscaping job for me in the front and back yard. They will be coming out in the fall for the planting.

Blake Emerson met with me and determined my wants and preferences. A week later he presented his plans complete with itemized list of improvements for me to choose from. At no time was I ever pressured to do any part of his plan but was free to pick and choose what I wanted. His crews arrived and began removing all old beds, trees, bushes and digging trenches for the sprinkler system. They were careful to preserve my lawn and worked quickly and professionally. Beds were edged with rock, a new flagstone walkway was created and the sprinkler lines laid and connected to the control panel. Rich, dark soil was brought in for the new beds and berm and the plants were installed along with decorative stone boulders. Large, quality trees and bushes were planted and the mulch was laid over all the growing areas. Sod was brought in to repair and level the lawn areas to complete the project. A highly skilled stone layer removed the old patio salvaging the keystones to be relaid after compacting and leveling. Matching edge stones were laid to create the new patio to my specifications. A once ugly area is now my favorite place to relax. A new French drain was laid along the south side of the property to replace one that had collapsed. A large, high quality Chinese pistache tree was planted in the back yard to complete the project. Blake was on hand to direct his workers and to answer my many, many questions. He was very, very helpful and did everything he could to accommodate my every wish for this project. He not only has given my home curb appeal but also given me an easy landscape to take care of and enjoy.

He came and looked at the work and then he came back with an estimate. He let me know he would not be able to do the work for three months as he was booked. He was very courteous and he came when he was supposed to. He was very pleasant and nice to work with. He was prompt and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He will be coming soon to do the work as he had to wait a few months which was fine with me. He quoted around $5,000.00 for this. He had a good plan but I do not want one of the trees that he had in the plans put in but other than that it was a very good plan.

It went very well. It looks very nice. They did a good job. They did two big areas so the price wasn't too bad. I think the thing I like the best is how nice it all looks and the owner was easy to work with and very polite. They made sure that I was happy with it. I don't have anything bad to say about them. For what they did, I thought the price was quite high. The way they priced it was quite weird. They had a $1000 minimum. For the 2 areas that I would like to do, he was going to charge me $2000 because he charged me $1000 for each area and it seemed to me that he was just adding stuff in to make it meet the $1000 minimum and I said I can't do both of those areas. I asked, if we leave out a few things and you do them both at the same time, can we do it? and he agreed to it so it was good. We figured out a way to do it so they worked with me on the pricing and I think it was pretty reasonable then.

Blake was punctual and professional, as was his crew. Once I was given the estimate, they came out very quickly and completed the job. The original plants were removed and hauled away. Blake replaced the beds with nice sized plantings which are very low maintenance (exactly what i wanted)... A nice rock border was also installed. Blake had to replace and move sprinkler heads in order to accommodate the new plantings. Blake was very easy to communicate with, answering all my questions via phone or email/text. I had never used a professional landscaper, so I was a little leery..But this was a great experience. I was outside just a couple of days ago, and a car stopped and started questioning me about what company I used. She stated she drove by while the work was being completed and she also thought they did a fantastic job. I gave her Blake's name, number, and email. She is going to try and hire him for future landscaping projects at her home. She lives in my neighborhood, but I had never met her. I think this speaks volumes for the curb appeal Blake created for me.. Mary Ann Higgins

He showed up on time and was really great. I was looking for advice on the type of plants and a layout for my yard. he was wonderful, the drawings were beautiful and I received them really fast. He paid attention to detail and even stayed a little while after we spoke to get what he needed for his drawings. He was wonderful and did exactly what I needed him to do. I did not purchase the additional services, because they were out of my budget for the project.

Performed no work due to plant materials but provided a refund which I appreciated since it didn't workout.

Went great. We have hired the company to do a $17,000 landscape job to include a waterfall. Will report back when the job is done. The landscape plan was easy to read, inovative and suits our life style. Very well done.

Blake was extremely professionally, and really knows his business. He met with me to discuss what I wanted done and came back a week later with plans. He has picked out all my favorite plants intuitively. I wanted low maintenance landscaping, and he is going to use native grasses and plants. He's going to start in May, and I can't wait. I will update this review when my projects are done.

Blake showed up on time and was very professional. He provided a landscape plan that incorporated what we are looking for and not a lot of costly extras like we had on a different plan. We will be using this company when we are ready to implement the plan.

Blake was friendly and polite, but was 15 minutes late to the first appointment, there was a miscommunication and we thought we had agreed to a second appointment but he never showed (but did apologize for the miscommunication), then he was on time for the third appointment but had forgotten the plan itself, so we had to wait for him to run and get it. That said, he did come up with a beautiful landscaping design; we did not end up going with his design because he was the most expensive of our three proposals/estimates, but he did also create the best design overall, just not the best value for our money (in our opinion).
