We planned on having remodeling done to our home for a long time. The owner to this business talked very highly of herself, her workers, and how they have done this type of work for years and years. We fell for everything and once the project began everything was going the complete opposite of what she assured us of. She said her workers were professional and they weren't, they would have friends come help, she was hardly ever on the site and was not great at communicating at all. The paint jobs were done horribly, the paint was cheap and peeled (even one of her "workers" admitted he shouldn't be painting..) the wood trim was not put back correctly and everything was uneven and worse, and the kitchen cabinets were not even what my mom had requested from her. They were absolutely horrific from the paint job on them, to how they were styled and being put in. She did not even measure them right. We had huge gaps and spaces between each cabinet and from the wall to the cabinets. We took a cabinet to a professional place to get their opinion on how to fix the crappy paint job they did. They literally laughed at the job they did and they felt horrible for us. The new guys that are working on our house right now are already halfway done and the new cabinets and paint job on the cabinets are tremendously different!!!! They actually look like cabinets. If we tell our new contractor or painter "oh she said it would take so long to order this", or "well she said put darker colors on the ceiling and lighter on the walls" they would laugh and say she didn't know what she was talking about . It was very clear to us that she just wanted to get the job done for cheap and pocket the rest of the money. Every time we asked about something she had some kind of excuse to justify why it was not done or why it looked the way it did, and she would give us the excuse of things being more costly, and rather than communicating with us about things, she would just do them on her own. The time frame she had given us for the project to be competed was 4-5 weeks. They had been working on the job for about 4 weeks and things were still not getting done at all. There were rooms on the contract to be done that haven't even been touched! We would have made the decision to let her go earlier, but we were trying to remain positive and we believed her when she said it'd get done. It wouldn't. We ended up losing money, and wasting time working with this business. We are currently working with someone else that is amazing at what they do and we couldn't be happier. Remodeling your home should be a fun and an exciting project for a family, but she made it more stressful and a bad experience for us. I hardly ever write reviews, but we want to prevent others from going through the same experience we went through. DO NOT work with them.

They did the work fine when they did the work, but I was kind of outside the normal working area so I couldn't get them in as often as needed. Otherwise what they did was good. I couldn't get as much service as I wanted because I was trying to get regular lawn care and I had to wait too long between mowing so I will probably end up switching. They did do a clean job cleaning up my landscape and planning at a reasonable price and offering suggestions. I only had a problem when I asked them to do the ongoing lawn care and I would have to wait too many days and I think they were short on people. It's a small company with basically 3 people working for him and the other clients that they already have and I was not in a regular area and it was hard for them to get in here. They were very good at the actual clean up and the redesign of my landscape. If they hadn't had some personal problems and if I lived more in the area where they had most of the clients, it wouldn't be a problem. Price wise they were excellent. As far as the landscaping, the price and the professionalism they were excellent. The lawn care is what I had problems because I just couldn't get to them in a timely manner. I told them what price I wanted and they were able to work with my price range and do what I wanted done.

If you want a very good landscaping company and also a good lawn care company, Elegant Designscapes is a great company to hire. They always go above and beyond what I expect of them, which is just great.
