I called and explained the problem and he came out the same day and fixed it. It looks good, works great, and the door is secure. Very professional, licensed, and bonded, and I will definitely be calling them again. Probably for a different lock though because the one he fixed today is solid.

He completely took off the doorknob and put on a new one, and made a new key.

Call first thing in the morning and within 2 hours and a minor glitz in being dispatched to the wrong address he came in and took off our lock, rebuilt some parts then put it back together. Very pleasant and professional.

Called at 10:00 and they said they would be there by 3:30 and they were there a little after one!!! Professional.

My car was stolen with my house keys inside so the locks needed to be changed asap. Knowing it was urgent, the company sent someone the same day. Joe arrived on time and got right to work. We had 10 doors (most with deadbolt and regular door lock) which equated to 17 total. Joe was polite and professional. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the final bill as it was less than I expected. I would definitely recommend this company!

You will need to call and make an appointment with them if you want to go to their place of business. I take it most of their work is performed out in the field, but they do have a nice sized shop that was easy to locate. This is a Mom and Pop business owned by local residents. The owners are a mature couple that likely could have retired long ago, but apparently do enjoy their work. The owners aren't overly personable, but they weren't rude in the slightest either. Just accept them for being serious little worker bees and you will get a product and service you are happy with. I do plan to use them soon and have them out to my house to re-key everything.

My front door lock quit working unexpectedly. Within an hour and half of me calling and describing the situation, Tom arrived to repair/replace the lock. The door lock could not be salvaged, so he replaced and then re-keyed the deadbolt so that my keys would match. Extremely professional, prompt, and courteous. I will use them again.

Excellent mark was done quickly and efficiently. When he changed the locks he noticed a problem with the door and brought it to our attention. Will definitely use again!

I used this company a few years back to have my locks re-keyed and was very well pleased with the work and customer service I received. Recently, I decided to upgrade my door hardware with better quality products and called Ed Humes to install and re-key my new locks expecting the same quality service. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same quality service. The locksmith (Joe) seemed to be in a dire rush to get the job done. I didn't think much of it until I discovered for myself that some of the newly installed deadbolts were not functioning correctly. They would not lock (throw) completely. I had to point this out to Joe on more than one occasion. I made the mistake of not checking all of the locks prior to him leaving and discovered that my front door deadbolt would not throw all the way. Joe was kind enough to return that same day to correct the problem. When he returned, I showed him the problem and he stated that the deadbolt was locking just fine and tried to pass it off as me not knowing what I was talking about. After I insisted that he investigate the problem further, Joe figured out what the problem was which turned out to be the door plate. He attempted to drill out the hole (which was not needed since the new deadbolt was the same size as the old one) and widen the door plate which would have worked only it caused more play in the door. After closer inspection, I saw that the door plate he was attempting to fix was part of the original hardware. I asked him to try the new hardware (door plate) but could not find it in any of my boxes. Joe returned from his van with the new door plate that I had purchased with the rest of the new hardware. I guess he decided that I would not notice the old one still on the door jam and kept the new one for spare parts. Well, he installed the new one and (surprise,surprise) it worked perfectly. I will not be using this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone else after the lousy service I just received.

Ed Humes Locksmith Service is a really good man. I have been using him off and on over the last 18 years. His prices are really good. He is very professional and on time. I will continue to use.

I found this company on Angie's List, he had a good rating so I decided to use him. He rekeyed and replaced 5 locks for me. I was pleased with the quality of service he provided. The price was fair for the service provided. He was punctual and here when he said he would be.

It was very, very, reasonable. He came out to me. I did not have any problems. I thought he was great.

On 04/15/2013 talked to one of the people at Ed Humes Lock and was told they would be able to come over the next day, I did not ask for a specific time since I would be home during the day. The appointment was for today, no one called or showed up so I called to see if anyone was going to ever show up. I was told they did not have anything on their sheet for me and they would not be coming by , I told them I had been waiting and the response was "sorry". I would not recommend this business unless you like waiting for an appointment which was never kept ... a sorry way to run a business, the owner (person I was talking to) acted as if he could care less.

Service was completed the same day we called to request assistance. VERY responsive, very professional, very pleased with the service provided.

They did a good, professional job and made sure we were satisfied. It was a slightly higher price than I first anticipated, but I don't know that I would be able to get this done for less. I would recommend.
