This sub contractor came out to do our electrical on June 7 and June 10. He failed to call in the inital inspection request until the next Thursday, and on Monday June 17 2013 we found out that a final had been called incorrectly. They corrected it and we got inspected June 19 2013 and passed. They came out on 8/16 2013 to complete the electrical project. They have yet to call in our final inspection. We have e-mailed and called. Every sub contractor/worker that has been sent to our remodel by KJones construction has had a very bad work ethic and timeline, including this sub. 10/16/2013 This electrical contractor contacted us after we submitted a BBB complaint and this complaint stating that they had been waiting for KJones to call them about calling in our electrical inspection. They did call in the inspection over 1 month after they had completed the project - and we have since had our electrical inspection called in and we passed.
Description of Work: Did our electical sub contracting for our contractor KJones Construction for our kitchen remodel.

Response from American Standard Electric
We are sorry that the [member name removed] had a bad experience with their remodel. We completed the rough in portion of the remodel. The homeowner has to be home for the electrical inspector to get in. Both of the [member name removed] work and Mrs [member name removed] had to take off. We did not call in the rough inspection until we heard from K-Jones as to when Mrs [member name removed] could take off work to be there. When the rough inspection was called in, it was called correctly. The lady at Okc inspections office had typed it as a final inspection instead of a rough inspection. ( You can not have a final prior to a rough) It shows up on the Okc Computer when it is typed in. She would have known if the inspection was called incorrectly. Im sure it was a honest mistake on the part of Okc. When the inspector showed up he just corrected the inspection type and passed our rough inspection the first time ( no red tag). It was hard to schedule with the [member name removed] because Mrs [member name removed] had to take off work and be home for every trade to do their jobs. We did the electrical final and waited again for KJones to let us know when Mrs [member name removed] would be available so we could call in for the electrical final. While we were waiting KJones and the [member name removed] parted ways. We never received a time when she would be available and the inspection was never called in. Now contrary to Mrs [member name removed] statement she never once called us to ask about the inspection. She even states that fact on her complaint to the BBB. If she sent an email it must have gone to the junk folder. I received a letter from the BBB and called Mrs [member name removed] the same evening. I explained that there was no reason that I would not call in the inspection, the work had already been completed and I had already been paid by KJones for the job. When I asked Mrs [member name removed] why she never called me she said she could not find our number. Although she found us on Angies List, and we advertise in all the major phone books as well as a website. So I called in for the electrical final the next morning as I told Mrs [member name removed] that I would. The inspector came out and passed the electrical final the first time, again no red tag! This could have all been resolved if the [member name removed] had just made a simple phone call to us instead of trying to do their best to make us look bad on the BBB and Angies List. To recap - We passed both of our electrical inspections the first time - which means we did a good job according to the Okc electrical inspector. So why in the world would we have purposely not called in the electrical final inspection. We wish the [member name removed] well and hope they will call us in the future if they ever need a electrical job done correctly with no red tags the first time !!!!!
