AC had stopped cooling, and shooting out cool, lukewarm hair. Guy was here for 20 minutes and didn't even check the coils. Claimed I didn't have proper air flow and would need a new unit. He was confident that was correct and trying to upsell me a new unit. The company I ended up using next, check the Freon level and once they fixed that my system was up and running just fine.
Description of Work: Fix my AC

Having a home warranty means you must use whomever the home warranty company contracts with. In our case they (Old Republic) primarily contracts in the Oklahoma City area with Air Go. I was pretty nervous at first because I Googled Air Go's name and phone number and there were virtually no results - The only thing that comes up is Air Go in TN - which appears to be associated with the Oklahoma location as some search results under the Oklahoma phone number linked back to the TN website. The few reviews I read regarding the Oklahoma location were less than glowing. But, I had no choice if I wanted to use my warranty, so I gave it a shot. I initiated my claim at 4:50pm on a Tuesday. The next morning I received a call from them. They said they could come out that day - but when they learned I was not yet moved into the home, they asked if they could come the next day since the tech would be in the general area anyway. That wasn't a problem, so we set the appointment up for Thursday. I was given a 4-hour window of when the tech would arrive (9am-1pm) and told he'd call 20-30 minutes before arrival. Just after 9am on Thursday the tech called and could come out right away. The tech arrived promptly. I will note that Air Go's tech apparently drive unmarked vans and their employees do not wear a logo'd uniforms and do not display any type of photo ID work badge. This is not a huge deal and was the norm 12 or so years ago, but its a nice touch for appearances and safety (they should consider it from a marketing standpoint). The tech van however was clean and looked well kept. The tech was also well groomed, didn't smell of smoke and while not in a logo'd uniform, was wearing khaki shorts and a blue collared short sleeve shirt. He seemed professional enough and did not engage in chit-chat - just got right to work. The tech spent some time and felt he had identified the problem. There was water pooling from a part where a vacuum is created and condensation can build up. The tech also noted that he felt there were some installation errors from the company that put the furnace in, in 2010 (Advance Heating and Air) and that might be causing some problems. The tech said he needed to order a part and that if it was in stock he'd be back the next day (Friday). I received a call later the same day stating the part was available and the tech would be back out on Fri between 9am and 1pm. Around 10am on Friday I received a call that the tech was on his way. The tech arrived with the part and installed it promptly. The system fired up and the tech left. Unfortunately, 15 minutes later the furnace shut down like it had previously. I called the tech and he said he'd be right back out. About 30 minutes later the tech returned and spent about 30 minutes trying to identify the problem. The tech then explained his prior concerns about the initial install were correct and that a series of two water traps had been installed and that there should have only been one (if I'm remembering correctly) and that he thought bypassing one of them would solve the problem - which it appears it did! I was very pleased with the responsiveness of AirGo and their ability and willingness to address and fix our furnace issues in a timely and professional manner. While I don't have a choice on who my home warranty people send out, at this point, I do not have any issue with Air Go addressing any future heat and air issues. I will continue to review them as services are requested.
Description of Work: Warranty Work under Old Republic Home Warranty policy/claim. Furnace installed in 2010. After turning it on it would run for 10-15 minutes and then shut off. It would then intermittently turn back on and off - or, not turn on at all unless reset. First visit was to diagnose the problem. Second visit was to instal part. Third visit because problem persisted within 30 minutes after part was installed. My cost was only a $60 deductible (service call) because of my home warranty. I estimate the retail price to have been about $200 with parts under factory warranty and $300 if part was not under factory warranty.

The experience was pretty good. They first came out and said nothing was wrong with it but we had to use them because they are contracted through my home warranty company. They said if it broke again to call them so it broke again 2 hours later so they had to come out again. They have been fine but it was a little frustrating at first.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Airgo Systems to repair my air conditioner.

It went well overall but the tech didn't seem to listen to me when I told him I had a freon leak. Another company had come out a few days prior to do a spring tune up, which I bought off Angie's list, btw. That company had told me I had a freon leak in my air handler and the tech that come out from AirGo just kinda blew me off.
Description of Work: Put freon in A/C unit
