Description of Work: We had extra ballisters added to 3 staircases in order to close gaps and make the areas after for young children. There was evidently a miscommunication in the beginning about the style, leading to a delay, but the work was done well which is what matters.

Provider arrived at the time he said. I told him what I needed done. I had some paneling and trim to use on my front porch. I knew it would have to be pieced and that there might not be enough. The provider did a good job with the materials I had provided. I would definitely use him again for other construction/handyman type work.

Provider spent an hour looking at the shower door I asked to be installed. He then told me he couldn't do the job because the instructions were not clear enough. He asked if I wanted him to do the other two jobs on my list. I told him "no" and he left.

The provider did not show up and didn't call until an hour after the appointment time. He said he and his daughter were ill and he could do the job on the following day. I told him I didn't want him in my house if he was sick. I wasted an entire day of vacation time to be at home to get this service done. In addition, I spent a lot of hours prepping my home for this service and that time was wasted as well.

I had to go to ER unexpected because my daughter came down with high fever. I did not have the client's (Member name removed) phone number to call him till I got back home around 10:00 am when I called and and offered him to go and work the next day which was Saturday he refused it because he did not want anyone with cold in his house and said forget it and hung up, I called him back and left a message that I could work the following Saturday and will work one extra hour to make it up but he did not call back. I understand I made (Member name removed) unhappy, but sometimes accidents can happen. In 31 years of being in this business this was the first time I have missed to be on the job I had never even been late before. Everything went amazing. Due to the age of the house it is far from square and for sure not level. So it wasn't as easy as just tearing out the sheetrock and putting up the paneling. He made sure everything was perfect. I can't find a flaw in it. I am very critical of the work done by contractors / handymen normally because they cut corners and surprise you in the end with a bill double than expected. The work done by Abba Construction was amazing. I wouldn't say he took his time because that makes it sound like he took a long time to finish the project, but he took the time to make it perfect. When he was finished the bill is exactly what I thought it would be. He was also very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Abba Construction.
Description of Work: Tore out the porch ceiling which was textured sheetrock and replaced it with wood paneling.
